Purchased our new Tvan from Track Trailer Victoria two years ago and it has given us stress from the moment we picked it up. Firstly, our Tvan is 51kg heavier on the ball than the advertised brochure. Track Trailer could not explain why. Second thing to go wrong was the Tvan battery was not being charged by the vehicle. Prior to handover, you are emailed a wiring diagram provided by Track Trailer to be given to your auto electrician before pick up. Our wiring diagram failed to consider an optioned-up DC to DC charger which meant our wire was under sized. We had to pay another $400 to be rewired correctly. We contacted Track Trailer and suggested they amend their wiring document to reflect the wiring specifications indicated by Redarc only to be told that it was our responsibility to check all details. First trip in our Tvan had us calling Track Trailer because our hubs were running hot. Track advised us to source a mechanic to check the brakes and bearings which may require an adjustment. Having done that, we continued with our journey noticing that the issue remained and had escalated to the point where the brakes were squealing at low speed, when applied. Track Trailer is contacted and they direct us to the nearest service agent which is in QLD. We deviate from our holiday and drive a day and half to Atlas RV Automotive who kindly squeeze us in at short notice. Hubs measured at 73 degrees Celsius and for the next 3 hours it stays in the work shop being adjusted and getting a warranty check. $400 later we are on our way. Warranty check reveals possible future leakage in roof hatch and a suspension that sits 40mm too low. An email to Track Trailer dismisses the roof hatch and attributes the suspension problem to us being over loaded. Fortunately, we had our Tvan weighed prior to departure and with dockets in hand confirming that we are underweight, Track Trailer dodges the problem by stating their service agent is being over cautious. We resume our travel knowing that our hubs are likely to remain hot until the brakes ‘bed in’ sometime within the next 5000 km. Fearing we will be a tow job, we stick to the bitumen, noting that the problem persisted for 8,000 km. We limp home abandoning any off roading and book the Tvan in for service at Bayswater to also attend to minor fixes of broken and missing plastic clips on the tent. We are presented with bill of $1000. We ask if anything is covered under warranty and they take off $136 for good will. Just recently our Tvan embarked on its second trip and on day 3 we turn on the kitchen tap only to have water spew out everywhere. A closer inspection reveals a split in the line and a cracked elbow near the hand pump. An email to Track Trailer goes unanswered perhaps falling into a black hole since voluntary administration, not sure. Left to struggle with jerry cans for the remainder of our holiday, we contact Atlas RV who answer within hours. They have the parts needed and we pay to have these posted out. A common problem apparently along with deck cracking that should have been recalled on our Mk5 2023 model but has not. We have used our Tvan twice and had a 100% failure rate despite it never being used on a 4WD track. The sad thing is, that we have spent over $90k to date. We thought we were buying Australian made quality, but we have been let down by both quality and the lack of after sales service.
