Great bike to get into riding
It's been awhile since I last rode a bike and wanted something that looked great, rode well and was a quality product. Definitely happy with the purchase so far. Overall a very smooth road if riding on a proper surface. For an amateur, this bike was perfect for getting me back into cycling.
Quality, look, feel.
OK bike for a while great components
I used this bike to commute back and forth to work and pretty much every where for 3 years. After the first week I was kicking my self for not getting a bike with dropdowns. I ended up putting bar ends on the bike to help give me more and positions. The seat bent after about three months. I upgraded the peddles after about a year. I ride very hard in all weather and did not have one component failure or problem. I did have to straiten the wheels quite a bit the first year or so. The frame busted after I ran over a curb. TREK would not honor there lifetime warranty on the frame. I will never buy a TREK again. All that said this is a good bike for a limited number of miles. If you are going to ride every day and want this bike for many years I recommend you stay clear. All that riding I think fatigues the aluminum frame. If this is going to be a weekend bike you probably will not have any issues.
Great commuter, good for stop and go traffic, Lots of gears, great components for the price
Week frame, bad seat, no drop downs, TREK and poor customer service.
Suit persons who like the maneouvrability of a flat bar around town but capable of going the quick country mile.
comfortable for short rides, handle bar grips, good speed on the road, appearance, gear changing is very responsive.
my boys all want to ride it
