Aldi detergent diluted. I was squealing like a stuck pig the other week about the way their crushed Garlic has deteriorated so badly it is on the verge of being inedible. It has a very bad taste now. So, I got the new det., as I'd run out, and I noticed was the little blue balls are almost non-existent. And I thought, hang on, they are the main… Read more

strength of the det. Not too long ago it was the very best one on the market. Not any more?! So, we did a load, and just for good measure I put in two good scoops for a light load, including my blue polyester/cotton work shirts. I don't work, I'm retired. Work for me is going to the supermarket. So, we take the shirts out, and sure enough...there is still distinct grime marks across the middle of the collar. "Urine weak" Aldi...absolutely "urine weak". When this runs out, I'll go back to using Omo. What a pack of skiving mongrels?! This is the kind of crapola the Terrible Two engage in. Now Aldi are doing the same thing...increase the price and dilute the product?!

Don't bother – Worst cleaner I've ever used. There's so much fragrance to hide its poor cleaning ability it causes rashes on the skin. Needed to use 3 rinse cycles to remove the fragrance smell and by that point the clothes end up having a faint mildew or urine scent from the lack of cleansing and the clothes being wet for so long (going through so many rinse cycles). I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. Show details

Dank smell or Itchy rash? – I used both Sensitive and Regular. Disliked both. Sensitive: It is okay for sensitive skin yes... but gosh darn it did not wash good at all. As I hung up clothes on the line, the smell of my clothes were dank and not fresh... I was confused whether or not I had just washed it! Good thing about it,my skin had no issues with it. Regular: I gave… Read more

benefit of the doubt and purchased this one. I loved how clean and fresh the clothes were. The fragrance was nice (maybe a lil strong), but at this point I was happy to smell it compared to the dank clothes using the sensitive wash. Shortly after hanging it up on the line, My hands and arms were ITCHY. It took the next day of folding the clothes and actually wearing the clothes for me to realise that it was BECAUSE of this detergent that I am now going crazy with itchy rashes ALL over my body (back, nape, palms, arms, legs,groin)... had to go onto good ole antihistamines. Never knew I had sensitive skin until this incident :(

Works well on dairy/work clothes – I work at a dairy, so as you can imagine, my clothes get VERY dirty with mud, hay, cow/calf manure etc. After the major supermarkets decided to charge almost $30 for a 2L sensitive washing liquid in their leading brands, I decided to try Aldi's Trimat. I accidentally bought the scented one which was incredibly over-powering, but I noticed my… Read more

clothes came out quite clean, so I purchased the 'sensitive' or scent-free version on my next shop.

It works really well for me, although I do not follow the recommended 'dose' of liquid per wash because my clothes get extraordinarily dirty and I use warm water on the first wash, with a cold water rinse. I just pour out a generous circle of liquid into a 7kg wash and my clothes come out clean almost 100% of the time.

Perhaps the varied reviews are based on the amount people are using per load not being adequate, but my own experience has been a positive one. And at $18 for a 4L container, it certainly beats the other name brands in price!

Good value powder with excellent cleaning power – I'd been using Almat liquid detergents for years and about half a year ago a relative overloaded their washing machine so I had to take the machine to an appliance mechanic. The mechanic recommended pre-dissolving powdered detergent in hot water before adding the detergent to the machine's detergent draw instead of using liquid detergents. The… Read more

mechanic said buying liquid detergent is basically paying a premium for detergent with added water and fragrance so you don't have to dilute the detergent down yourself for an optimised clean. The fragrance can mask how clean laundry is, if you've left clean laundry in a dry location for a few months and find it reeks later it may be the laundry wasn't clean at all and once the fragrance from detergent wore off you can smell just how dirty the laundry is!

I've bought a few powdered detergents to experiment with and this one works the best. I gave some to a relative and she achieved really good results on children's clothing at half dosage, so she is going to exclusively switch to using this powder in future.

The children have had allergic reactions in the past to detergents but so far they have been OK.

I've been premixing half the recommended amount of detergent with 1 cup hot water in a jug, mixing with a spoon then adding the dissolved detergent and water mixture to the washing machine draw.

Using half the recommended amount of detergent per load means we get twice the amount of washes out of each box. This detergent is a step-up over the Almat Powder but whether it is worth the extra depends on if the Almat is sufficient at cleaning your laundry. No point paying more per load in detergent if you don't need to.

Powder does not dissolve completely – I am at the end of my first box. I cant say it cleans better than other brands I have used. But what I am finding is that I am getting undissolved powder all over my clothes to the extent that when I take them out of the machine and shake before hanging up it flicks all over me. There is still some remaining when I go to put these clothes on later… Read more

when dried, so irritating in all ways other than allergy. I always dissolve powder in warm water in a laundry dish by agitating with my hand before adding to top loader machine. After discovering the undissolved powder on my clothes recently I have paid more attention to when dissolving and found there is a small amount which will not dissolve easily, even tipping out the balance of the water and trying to dissolve by rubbing with my hand around the base of the dish or trying to dissolve with boiling water.

I realise I have probably got a build up of undissolved powder in the machine from the Trimat making the issue worse on each wash. I had already bought another box and was still considering using it. I emailed Aldi on line to bring the issue to their attention and get an explanation, possibly referred to manufacturer. But the person who replied obviously has little experience and asked irrelevant questions, then said I could return the product. Oh well, I tried to be positive and consider to continue using. I will now return unopened box. Customer service needs to be manned by experienced knowledgeable people.

I bought based on reviews by the various product comparison sites. I don't know how this comes out on top considering the reviews here, and I seem to be kind giving a 3 star rating!!

Works very well – I use half the recommended amount of powder and except for heavy grease stains my clothes come out perfectly clean. There is no smell as far as I have noticed which is good, because why would I want any residue left on my clothes? Highly recommended! Show details

Cleans clothes fantastic – This laundry liquid is the best I have used it removes all stains and gives the washing a nice fresh smell. I think it is almost identical to the old style omo laundry liquid before it got a updated formula. to everyone complaining about getting a rash this has never happened to me the problem is most people don’t know how to use their washing… Read more

Trimat Sensitive causes a rash. Not good for sensitive skin – Since I started using this I've developed a bad itchy rash. On my doctors visit I had to get prescribed cream. He said have you changed your washing powder, and of course I have. Now I've had to wash all the clothes washed in it in water again to get out whatever chemical is in this powder. I'm finished with Aldi so called sensitive laundry powder, don't buy it. I now have to throw away the 5 kg box I bought for $16.99 Show details

Tandil pacs – This is my first time using tandil premium laundry detergent pacs. First the package was hard to open, so I had to open it with a pair of scissors. Im out - "fragrence" is overpowering even on drying clothes metres away – Yep, this thing was chosen by Choice - but it must have been years ago. Maybe the reformulation another review talks about is the problem, because I've been using it a few years and this problem seems to be recent. It's the "fragrance". Honestly: I can smell it in the box with (no crap): Four plastic bags around it. It's unpleasantly strong. I can… Read more

smell it on the clothes metres away while wet. And almost as much once dry. Im using the recommended amount. Someone needs to fix this. I will find another brand until it fixes this problem. FWIW PR.com peoples, I just looked up Choice again and the current favourite is 'Coles Lemon Fresh Laundry Powder Hot and Cold Wash Top loader. The Trimat liquid came in at 29th! The powder wasn't even on the list.

Love this product – I always make sure to have an extra rinsing cycle , and I used to have a lots of allergies to quite a few things but I am ok now . I dry all my clothes in the drier as I found out by putting it outside it caused my allergies to come back , especially in Spring . It takes all the stains away , quite pleased with it . Show details

Allergic Reaction Skin felt hot itchy – I have never reacted to any laundry powder. BIN this powder. Should have read the reviews before purchasing. Even now if I’m in the room with something washed with this powder I still become hot and itchy let alone wearing anything that’s washed with it. This should not be allowed to be sold. Serves me right for being tight. I’m sticking with Biozet Laundry Powder with fabric softener and Omo. Show details

Same same, but cheaper – It's cheaper than the equivalent more expensive brand from other supermarkets.. ive tried many brands, best of the best, cheapest of the cheap, all the inbetweens, hot water, cold water, powder, liquids and none of them clean grease or oil. Grease and oil stains always remain. At least this is as good as the most expensive equivalent ,but with a cheaper price tag. Show details
