Triton Food Brokers

The best deli in Brisbane!! – Great food and very cheap prices. Don't believe the bad reviews here, they don't seem accurate in any way. Lovely staff and an amazing selection of extremely cheap deli goods and more.
Return/refund of poor quality item – After going here for 20 years with no issues, I had to return 2 containers of a product. it was poor quality and had a chemical aftertaste. 2 days after purchase I took it back explaining the problem. The product is usually nice. The staff were aggressive and there was no appropriate customer service. Having gone there for 20 years, I'll never visit again.

A Waste of Time and Money – We traveled from the Gold Coast to South Brisbane, specifically to purchase some Greek food supplies. What we found in Triton, was a well stocked small supermarket tucked away in an industrial area. A number of items that I noticed were well priced, which was a pleasant surprise because smaller supermarkets and food stores usually charge quite high prices as they do not have the bulk purchasing power of the larger chain supermarkets.
However, it was a huge disappointment to buy their home made baklava and their iced almond half moon shaped biscuits. ( gourabye ) Both were pretty awful and certainly not worth the long drive to this place. The baklava was absolutely disgusting because I suspect it had been sitting there in their fridge at the front of the store for quite some time. The gourabye was stodgy and soft, having lost any crispness attributed to this sweet when it is freshly baked. In fact Woolworths supermarkets sell an absolutely delicious gourabye packed in a gold tin. But unfortunately it is only available during Xmas as a specialty item. The home made cook who supplies Triton should aim to match this standard.
The baklava may have been okay if it was fresh, but on Thursday, 13th April 2023, it was a triangle mass of dark brown pastry and nuts in barely enough sugar syrup. If you read this before going to this store, save your money and don’t buy any of their so called home made products because you don’t know how long they have been sitting there.
What a pity that a store specialising in Greek food, offers such poor quality fresh products.
