company. The builder came and installed the carport and patio roof, and his workmanship looked very good and we were given a few days' notice of the date works would commence. The electrician came and installed the lights and fan, he texted the day before to state he was coming the next day and provided a time frame, which he was 3hrs late for without call, apology or explanation. Then we received a text at 1630 to say the plumber is coming to do plumbing works for pipes to be laid the following day at 0700am. We were provided with 3D images along with our contract which showed how the pipes would be running along the flower beds. However, this was not done, and the pipes were placed running right through the middle of our garden, which has resulted in extra cost to ourselves to relevel and resow the whole garden. When this was put to Trueline manager Victoria branch, we were informed these are not in fact "not stamped approved plans", when asked why they were provided we received no response. The contract stated unpainted PVC pipes and our guttering was picked in the colour monument which when we had our onsite consult it was too match our existing downpipes. The pipes they fitted were white and did not match and were NOT documented as white on the contract either. So we have had to change the unpainted PVC pipe to the correct colour which contary to the Manager of Trueline Victoria branch does exist at our own cost. Then we come to the certificate of final inspection which was provided on 07/05/26. We received our final bill and the CFI however they attached a certificate which stated, "NOT APPROVED". The surveyor who attended the property advised me that he could not pass the project and followed this up with a phone call the same day to advise me that he had discussed it with his boss and that he had agreed. When I alerted Trueline manager to same I was sent another certificate stating approved. I contacted the building surveyor who advised me to contact the Building Surveyor Trueline was paying and discuss it with them. Neither the surveyor nor Trueline manager returned my calls. This initial failure was due to an exposed stormwater pipe which could not be underground due to the footings that the Trueline builder installed. To date this remains exposed at ground level. I received an email from the Trueline manager advising they are "independent inspectors" and "are not there to comment on the project in any capacity with our clients". There is no communication from manager despite him emailing saying he would give me a phone call and also speak to me when he attended the property, neither of which he did.
We are very happy with our new double carport, and with the insulated roof on our patio (photo). From the design phase to final cleanup the process was smooth - and once the construction started Nick and Davy had both jobs finished in 3 days and both friendly to work with. the engineering drawings and the Council applications which were requesting relaxations of at least 2 of the standard Council allowances. All of the staff that we dealt with from start to finish have been INTERESTED in providing the exact product we had envisioned. Let’s not forget the TRADIES who did all the hands-on work - one word “AMAZING”. Every aspect; from both trade skills to interpersonal skills were faultless. We could not have hoped for a couple of more professional dudes than those we had. We are so so grateful we got such an incredible team to build our carport. The guys worked so hard & efficiently and had our enormous carport up in about 2.5 days. The quality of the build was not sacrificed either in their timeliness They cleaned & tidied up the site at the end of each day, organising all the waste into large bags to later be taken away by a truck organised especially to take waste away & recycle as much of it as possible. Amazing stuff really & would without hesitation have them build for us again! That is truly saying something these days!!

In summary, while the end result met our expectations, the customer service and communication fell well short. I would caution future customers to ensure clear communication channels are established from the beginning and to be prepared for a potentially drawn-out process.

From start to finish the staff have been awesome. The crew to install carport are the best. We had a few setbacks, but the 2 men worked until dark to have it completed in 2 days. Their attention to detail was second to none. Would recommend Trueline to anyone.
Follow-up · Matches the house perfectly. You would think that it has been here since the house was new. Still 100% happy with our choice of company that did install.
Ordered a patio 8 months ago costing 32k, didn't start the job for months and then built it in the wrong spot with damaged components, incompetent installers doing dodgy work, good product but no good at installation or communications, strongly suggest not dealing with this branch that can't retain staff

The pergola installation is fantastic and all done in one day. The quality of the product is excellent and has met all of our dream. Small criticism is that they could have used drop sheets to collect all the aluminium filings and protect our decking. The guys on the job were otherwise great.

Communication non-existent, design and installation process littered with errors, delays aplenty. Not worth the stress – The only reason the end product is even close to what we asked for (there were compromises I had to make during the install unless I was prepared to have them completely remove their incorrect install and start all over again) is because I caught all the problems (and there were many) along the way. literally every step of the way, go somewhere else.
If you're also after a product delivered on time (the timeline they set no less), well guess what - go somewhere else. Our project started in April 2024 with assurances it would be completed before September 2024. The project wasn't completed until 06 December 2024, and I had to fight tooth and nail to get it done by then with constant delays, starting the job only to then leave and prioritise other jobs or simply not showing up when they said they would.
Honestly, the process could not have been worse if they tried.

the stormwater easement. Trueline advised that to get council approval the 1.5 metre portion of the deck and pergola over the easement deck would need to be demolished and rebuilt. They refused to pay anything toward the rebuild which meant to progress the sale we would need to carry the cost plus accept a lower price from the buyer due to the reduced amenity. We now need to take Trueline to court or to QCAT/QBCC as they deny everything after consulting their solicitors after we wrote to them requesting recompense. We would not recommend this Company to our worst enemy. This Company's arrogance is only surpassed by their incompetence.

product. Despite difficult site access issues, the installers Frederik and Joah were efficient, neat, friendly and exceptional workers. They worked till dark over 2 days due to intermittent rain at the start. The whole job took less than three days and went off without a hitch. The quality of workmanship and materials is first class. Melanie and Renee in the office were friendly and helpful and also deserve a shout out. We would not hesitate to recommend Trueline to anyone considering a similar construction.

I am very happy with my patio roof from Trueline. I couldn't use the deck before, it gets very hot, but now I enjoy sitting and relaxing outside. They were always helpful, answered all my questions and organised everything for city council approval.
We were so impressed with the whole experience with Trueline Patios. From the first meeting Shane was so pleasant and helpful, Nate did an amazing job putting up the patio, he was friendly and an absolute perfectionist with his work.
