Ultima Shock Absorbers

Not worth the hassle – Fitted a full set of Ultima Shocks on an FG Falcon. There was an initial ride and handling improvement over 10-year-old original shocks (that were still pressurised). extension under pressure.) At least I found the knock I've been trying to find, so I suspect the shocks probably lasted around 2.5 years. I assume the fronts are stuffed too, so will replace them next. No response from Ultima or the retailer. Although relatively cheap, they're still a waste of time and money. Poor product and no customer support, so my advice is to seek another brand. KYBs fitted to the rear now. Insane improvements in ride and handling ... and no knocking.

Update: Front shocks checked and also failing. Low and uneven pressure. Also replaced with KYBs that have further enhanced the drive. Confirmation that Ultima Shocks - for all the advertising blurb about quality, tuning and warranty - are simply not worth the effort for the perceived cost savings. Invest a little more in decent shocks and do it right the first time.
