Uniden DSS 3455

Good – I was at first skeptical about the Uniden brand but have nothing but good feedback for this model phone. The design is stylish and well built in general. The functions are a bit tricky but very extensive. It is a must to read and use the manual for this phone! I accidentally chanegd a setting, and my phone kept beeping intermittently to alert to a message and I couldn't figure out why for days. Once you master the settings and functions they are very useful. Great size, weight and dimensions. Functions take a bit to get used to using.

Good – I had a previous model of a Uniden cordless phone, and found it very reliable which is why I went for another Uniden to replace it. I've been very happy with the DSS 3455 + answering machine and certainly don't regret getting another Uniden - they seem to make excellent communication devises (two-way radios, etc), so there should be no reason why they can't make excellent telephones too! Light to hold. Packed with multiple functions. Great distance range - even through double brick walls! Battery keeps a good charge when not in use. Face is well illuminated, although its a shame the green back-lighting doesn't come in the white model. Programmable features can be a little complex to follow, but once you get the hang of the combination of buttons to push, its not that difficult.

Good – A good phone with answering machine. Reliable brand. It's excellent to use the intercom function between additional handsets. This is my second Uniden phone and I'd happily recommend them. Reasonably priced unit, looks good and the handsets have a good weight to them Unless you're used to Uniden phones it might take a small amount of effort to get used to doing things like programming phone numbers etc. However, the handbook is well-written and this helps a lot with the learning curve.
