Uniden DSS 7955

Bad – Yes the nav key being the main component on the hand set has rendered the unit just about useless. Uniden said I could return it to get fixed, at a cost they could not give me. And for the price I paid this is a real inconvenience. But to buy a new one they are expensive and have the same navigation key. So not sure what to do. I'm extremely happy with all features. The do not disturb button is the best!! None to mention, until now. The navigation key has stopped working. Now useless!!
Bad – We bought this as we were told we could get up to 1000m we are lucky to get service in the other end of our house let along our backyard. Will be returning item to store back to 2.8Ghz I guess Great base station and features, easy to use and program Not very loud on handset when ringing and bad for range
Good – It is a very well featured phone and reception is very clear using 5.8GHz so it will not interfere with any wireless devices. The speaker on the handsets are loud enough in most situation. The only short coming is that at the highest setting the ring tone on the handset is not very loud. However, the base station ring tone is loud enough. Get the three handset package as it is cheaper than adding extra handsets later on. Multi-handsets; conference call; room monitor; speaker phone on handset & base; clear reception; easy transfer of calls; intercom between handsets handset does not have a very loud ring tone; extension handset can take a couple of rings before it will also ring; the extra handsets are expensive to buy individually.
