I know my mig is no longer available but it is still going strong. I am using it in an all steel extension of my mancave. Working up at 3 meter heights is no problem. Love my unimig. Show details
Great welder – Great welder, wish I could figure out how to turn off VRD for stick welding but you get that. Only other thing that I’d like is a gear driven wire feed but otherwise the stepless voltage adjustment and wire feed speed is excellent.
An essential tool – It's a great buy, rely on it to keep agricultural equipment in good repair not to mention build my patio with it and it's not let me down this point a worthwhile purchase by all means. Show details · 1
Great welder – I love this welder. Does everything I need it to do on my hobby farm. I have just starting doing rust repairs on my old car and the welder is working great Show details · 1
This is a great welder - perfect for my needs – This is a great alround welder - perfect for those small light jobs as well as the more heavy structual jobs. It travels easily and has never let me down - I would deffently recommend this model Show details · 1
Bees knees – Fantastic little machine, plenty of power, lightweight and with .8 wire runs perfect. About to try it on Aluminium. Being a welder for over 50 years I know what to expect and the little Razor delivers. Show details · 1
Great welder – More powerful than 175 amp rating suggests. Great for steel, also runs a spool gun well for aluminium. Hasn't missed a beat in the year or so I've owned it Show details · 1
Great welder – Simple, reliable compact welder with excellent smooth arc. Love it. Would buy again if it broke down. Well made and with simple controls. Could have larger gradation markings next design. Show details · 1
Good little machine – Has been very reliable but it does go through a lot of wire tips on the torch as they jam. Other than that it has done some difficult work both heavy and light and is especially good for overhead welding. Show details · 1
absolute crap – after my old mig perished I needed a new mig urgently. I thought the Unimig Razor sounded good so I bought one . Following the instructions I threaded in a spool of wire and adjusted the settings. All I got was a puf of smoke out of the welder. Took it back and exchanged it . The replacement did exactly the same. So I took that one back and changed to a different brand Show details
A great welder for the price can be used as a Meg and a stick welder highly recommend it – This is a very well made welder it is relatively lightweight but packs a punch at 175 amps what I like about it is it uses the small 5 kg welding which adds to make in it a lightweight welder compared to some I like the good warranty you get with it plus the extra 6 months by registering online I'm led to believe that you've got some items via… Read more · 1
redemption and I have yet to look into that that wasn't the reason I purchased it it represents a good bang for your buck
A great welder for a beginner – I am not a welder by trade and I have only used a stick inverter welder so I had zero experience with a MIG. Because of this, I was hesitant to buy a MIG but decided to go ahead. I found this welder, with the aid of the User Manual (which has a lot of errors but UniMig have addressed this) and Youtube videos, the setup was easy and I made a very… Read more · 1

Know better, choose better.
My new Unimig 175 – I purchased my unimig 175A from Hare and Forbes Machinery House the other day, bought it straight home and set it up with the gas, wire and all the other bits and pieces that came with the machine. I found the directions clear and easy the follow, making it an effortless procedure to get started. I got some heavy duty steel and set about trying… Read more · 1
the Unimig out and it performed flawlessly. I would have no trouble recommending this machine to anyone and especially if you wish to enter the welding market with Gas Shielding simply fantastic.
Great bang for buck welder – Awesome little welder, easy to set up and play. I bought the 175 after being so impressed with the razor 205. This welder is just set up for stainless, I was a little surprised it didn’t come with a quick gas connect like the 205 does. All in all, great welder and easy to use. Show details · 1
Minor nitpicks but otherwise a good reliable machine – I'll start off by saying I've since sold my razorweld 175, but I do miss it. Owned it for about a year and it's new owner is very happy with it, 10 months later. Negatives for which I took of a star: wire feed could be improved for almost free. If you're running 0.6mm wire it just loves to birds nest on ya, but it's quite easily fixed with a… Read more · 1
short piece of brass tube (although I used a short piece of a Teflon torch liner) trimmed to fit right up against the rollers. You do get a slightly improved, geared wire feed on the 200 amp version.
Comes with a 0.8 & 0.9mm drive roller plus a 0.8 & 1.0mm drive roller, for the price they could have done a little better there.
Really should have been supplied with a couple of contact tips instead of just one, and it was 0.9mm (with matching red torch liner) where I feel the sweet spot for this unit is 0.8mm, with a blue torch liner.
Should have included a quick disconnect for the welding gas ($11 from Supercheap Auto for a nitto style air compressor quick disconnect, don't pay $60+ for a blue one that says argon on it!).
That's really it for negatives, real solid machine that never missed a beat and does exactly what you tell it to. SB25 torch is good quality, though it's often hard to find some of the consumables good it. 4m torch length would be much nicer than the 3m or comes with, but oh well. Build quality is not bad, though for the price it could be a touch better and even include pulse settings, but now I'm getting side tracked. Good welder!
Easy to use and set up straight out of the box – Bought this welder for work on my race car and home projects. Set up with 0.9mm gasless wire on some scrap pieces and had it dialed in perfectly to weld exhaust sections together. I am no expert but I was very happy with the result. Great little machine! Awesome – This welder seems to be quite a decent unit.. Having completed minimal welding prior, I purchased some Arc electrodes to learn basic MMA.. after welding a few bits of metal together, seemed ok.. I then purchased some Gasless MIG wire.. this is an awesome machine. I knocked up some basic fabrication easily.. Extremely happy with my purchase! Show details · 1
It's a great welder – It's a great welder made a boat trailer and other trailers with it welds really good.Works really well and easy to use and set up and many more welding to do. Show details · 1
Great Machine, reliable, tough and easy to use – I absolutely love my Unimig Razor 175. It is a great machine that I know will work perfectly every time. Parts are easy to get and instructions were very clear. Looking forward to purchasing a Unimig plasma cutter in the near future. Show details · 1
