Unfortunately, my parents’ experience with Union RV has placed a significant emotional and mental burden on them, after purchasing a brand new caravan in the hope of enjoying their retirement travelling around Australia. From their very first trip, they discovered around twenty (20) separate faults and issues, many of which I have witnessed myself. While Union RV stated these were minor and offered to repair them, it left my parents questioning the overall safety and reliability of the caravan — much as anyone would if they bought a brand-new car that immediately exhibited so many problems.
Understandably, they now feel they cannot confidently embark on long trips, far from help, in a caravan that has already proven problematic from day one.
Adding to their stress, they also received legal letters from Union RV’s lawyers after raising these concerns and stating their intention to share their experience publicly. Even before that, Union RV themselves included a written warning (shown in the attached excerpt) that public statements or reviews could result in legal action.
This review is written in the hope that others are fully informed before making such an important purchase. We sincerely wish we could write a positive review, but that has not been the reality for our family.

We recently had our tow vehicle and Union RV 16HT professionally weighed. Being the first Union RV that Cameron had weighed/seen he stated how impressed he was with the engineering, well thought out design, amount of storage and how well balanced the van was. Our van passed the state registration inspection with flying colours in early May, again an impressed professional. It is so comforting after all our research prior to purchase to have this information. Safety is number one!
Worthy of mention is the RV Journal on the Union RV site, this is a wealth information for those new or seasoned to caravaning including notes on how to choose the correct van, difference between van types and all-important weight ratios. There is also a Facebook Union RV Owners group, that is welcoming and offers friendly chats, tips, ideas and a forum to ask questions - we all forget things!
The team have been awesome to deal with, handover was exceptionally thorough, customer focus second to none. Our van has had a few outings now, has withstood some very heavy rainfalls, very cold nights (we were very cosy and warm), we have been both off grid and in caravan parks.
Not for one minute have we regretted making this purchase, it was and is a standout van for us, not too big, exceeded our wish list (which was expansive), the standard inclusions were awesome compared to many others. WE cannot recommend Union RV highly enough.
Follow-up · Off grid: So far so, easy operation, comfortable even in very cool Tassie weather. We did add an extra battery and upgraded inverter from 2000 - 3000. We also carry a Itechworld DC setup (in place of a generator) Storage: Awesome inside and out, well thought through in the design process. Caters very well for items we take on our travels. Ease of operation: Redarc system panel is easy to read and operate, ability to moniter levels is a plus. Easy to access from outside. Lighting: Excellent both interior and exterior. Shower: Very roomy, good pressure Towing: Brilliant Comments received from other van owners on how smart and solid the van looks. After sales communication has been exceptional to date

Based on my experience, I can only advise-My Venture13 caravan had multiple issues, including the air conditioner not connected to the inverter, water leaks from the under-van tank and water pump inlet (which also leaked inside under the bed), rusting bolts and screws, unsecured electrical components, and deteriorating roof seals. Other faults included poorly fitted recommended awning clips, problematic cupboards and a roof frame that became very hot on the sun-facing side. A third-party inspection confirmed additional faults. Due to these issues, I do not feel confident in the caravan's safety or the workmanship, and the experience caused significant stress during what was meant to be a holiday. I hope this helps other buyers be aware and inspect their caravan thoroughly before accepting delivery. "The company stated they perform a 100% pre-delivery check, but the issues found suggest otherwise

we want to share our journey. Above and beyond expectations, this company although relatively new to the market is making an impact. The quality, design, inclusions and price are brilliant let alone the best customer service, a focus second to none. From our initial contact to handover it has been the best experience. Justin and Makara are down to earth, knowledgeable and are never afraid to answer a question (we had many).
After much research and having a wish list a mile long we chose the 16HT as it perfectly met our needs and wants. Indoor/outdoor cooking, indoor/outdoor fridge, full ensuite, a comfortable queen size bed, internal full ensuite, storage in/out, fully off road/grid. Inclusions are pretty much standard (add-ons with many brands). We are so impressed with the build, utilising many well known Australian brand components.
The handover process was very thorough and be warned it is a lot to remember. As we are from Tasmania we chose to have a few days at Lang Lang, not too far from Pakenham getting to know the van before just in case we needed help. The van towed very well. Since having the van home friends and family have been so impressed, some are van owners so they know their stuff too.
