V.I.P. Petfoods Platinum Vital

Where has it gone? – We have been feeding the platinum to our dog for about two years now and our dog loves it. However the past three or four weeks we have been unable to find any. Has it been deleted? The local Woolies don't even have the shelf labels anymore. Coles dont seem to be stocking it either.
Im having the same issue! My dog has a sensitive stomach and it took me ages to find a dog food that she loves and doesnt make her sick. Local Woolies stopped having it. Found another Woolies that still had it and now they dont have it!
Both coles and Woolworths should have Platinum in stock; infact woolies have been running it on a 20% Every Day rewards discount. Coles stock all lines and woolies have all but Grand Senior. Please ask at the store they must be out of stock?
Sorry I just realised that you were talking about Platinum Vital, yes it has been deleted. Unfortunately we launch a new Chunkers Multi pack and both accounts said we had to delete something in our range to replace it - it was unfortunately Vital. Please try our Platinum Dog rolls instead!
is vital platinum still available at iga stores
My local Coles is out so I travelled up the coast to Woolies who were out and the Coles there were also out.
No unfortunately because we are not making it for Woolworths or coles any more this product has been deleted from our manufacter. Please try the platinum dog rolls which are on the 20% everyday rewards card discount at Woolworths they are from the same range and perfect for dogs with conditions
such a shame, you made 3 little king charles spaniels very very unhappy!! shame on you!
No - not in Coles or Woolworths in WA
This is just terrible. The minute I find something that my dog will eat it's deleted. He hates Chunkers, it smells terrible, and he won't eat the rolls either. Why do you do this????? It always sold well at our local FoodWorks. NOT AT ALL HAPPY.
I asked at our local Woolworths store in Mentone, Vic. and they told me the Platinum RANGE has been deleted. Not happy either.
Please understand everyone we did not delete this product ourselves why would we do that? In order for us to range new product lines the supermarkets give us the option of taking lines out to put new lines in. Unfortunately whilst your animals loved the product it was our lowest selling line. Please try the new Natures Goodness range that we have just launched into Woolworths. They are all natural holistic rolls that include a grainfree option.
I can't find platinum tender chicken & brown rice roll at our local Coles in Hillside Vic.
I am very sorry all but the entire range of Platinum dog food has now been replaced in both coles and woolworths with our new Natures goodness range which also includes grain free products.
Both my dogs will not eat the Natures goodness range. I have (with difficulty) now got them onto Woolworths Select Adult range. They love it. So you have lost a customer!
Unfortunately its all my cat eats she nearly died when we first moved to south Australia add I couldn't get found it in Adelaide had to drive am hour to get it so I stocked up. Now I've ran out I tried the other rolls mushed up in the same container she ate the food looked at the container ate some more and refused to eat it.now we are greying very skinny again. Pity it was a slow seller and deleted.
Pauline1, thanks for your feedback on Natures goodness I was suprised to hear that your dogs would not eat it; as we have had lots of good reviews. again as i earlier stated we do not encourage the retailers to delist our products they give us their suggestions on us asking to put new products in. Please try some of our other ranges in the chiller if you have not had luck with this product.
Judi - I don't think it was a slow seller, my local supermarket told me it was their best seller. They didn't understand why it was deleted either.
unfortunately the supermarket space for fresh chilled dog food is getting smaller and smaller so it is getting harder for us to maintain all our products whilst adding new ones. Keep questioning why this is with your local supermarket!!!
I miss the gluten free platinum dog roll - it solved my dog's eating sensitivities. I have tried the all VIP options and they all make my dogs sick. I am very disappointed that you have chosen to discontinue such a quality product. It gave me and my dogs a reliable and cost effective source of nutrition. My supermarket say that it was one of their best sellers so your justifications don't add up. I'm on a very tight budget and now I'm having to go with extremely expensive vet quality options - $95 a bag! So I'm not happy folks
VIP have never made a range of gluten free products in dog rolls or the vital product, as they all contain some from of grain. The new Natures Goodness All Natural holistic range however has two varieties in the dog roll range that are truley grainfree and gluten free and have shown great results for food sensativities,
please try them!
We went through this but have switched to the Natures Goodness Holistic range and it is safe for our super sensitive girl. Just disappointed by the price increase. We are now paying $3.10 per roll, so $9.30 per day :(
Unfortunately if you are buying from coles they have increased their price on this product, Woolwrths have kept the Platinum price point; so maybe try there
It's Back! – Thank you, Vital is now back to It's solid consistency. Last month I posted that I could no longer purchase Vital because it had gone sloppy but, I have recently brought two lots from different supermarkets and both were good.Glad to report my dogs are now happy dogs. Thanks again.
Great news, we are glad that you gave us another go. Just for your information we also have another great meal product called Chunkers, your dog will love them!
Absolutely Revolting! – I decided to try this when my supermarket was out of the mince I usually buy. Since I usually cook up a batch of meat with a stack of Veges and rice I thought this could be a good alternative. What a waste of money! Meaty chunks? HA! It is one big 2kg chunk. "Meaty" is a stretch too - it looks like mechanically reclaimed meat to me, and there is no evidence that.a vegetable has ever been anywhere near it. I tried to salvage it by cooking some up and was going to add my own veges and rice. Big mistake!! It just turned into some indescribable slop that would cause the most iron-willed of people to gag.
Needless to say that the whole packet is now in the bin and the dog has just got dry bikkies for dinner. What a total waste of $6 and another disappointment from a company that used to produce nice stuff.
Please note that I only gave it one star because the system won't let me leave it unrated The promise they made on the packet Nothing like what was described on the packet. Absolute slop that you wouldn't feed to your worst enemy
I am sorry you have found this with our product, the consistency of the product does not sound like our usual quality; if you would like to contact our head office and make an official complain we can register your complaint in our QA system and give you a fefund for thye product,
thank you
used to be great – our dogs are fussy eaters so we tried your platinum and they loved it,but now after a couple of years the quality has gone down hill ,we have always bought it from super IGA hervey bay QLD. it seems like its been frozen and ends up sloppy instead of firm like it used to be ,so who is to blame, bad quality or dodgey supermarket practices.PS dont let your product go down hill like so many others..thank you. nearly always sloppy
I have exactly the same concerns as Bevly. I have purchased from both IGA and this latest purchase was from Woolworths at Yamanto on 14/02/2012. Stamp underneath looks like 335 (on side) and 15E02. Not firm, but slimy and you could use an icecream scoop to get it out. The animals refuse to eat it. It does not smell off, so I don't know what the problem is. I have been buying this for a few years, however I have experienced this situation in the last few months. Thanks Kim Leichhardt Ipswich.
I agree with the previous comments. My dogs loved eating Vital Platinum, but now it is so sloppy, again what is the problem.
Thanks Kim.
