Perfect and very easy to fold and unfold very just 6.5 kg – I used to have a big and heavy pram with the price around 1,000 before I finally fall in love with this one as it is not just very cheap under 200 but also very lightweight only 6.5 kg very easy one step fold and one step unfold come in one peice ready to use doesn t take much space in my car. It s recline nearly flat so comfy for my newborn baby… Read more
and not too small for todler too. the wheels are medium size not too small or too big . I can simply open up the back for the wind to come through in a hot day also I can see my bub too. the basket is very large and strong I love it when going around for shoping :) The best size for baby to todler very light and big basket easy fold and unfold cheap too
Good Value – I think, considering the price of this pram, it served us well. We purchased the Vee Bee as we were travelling and our normal pram took up the entire boot of our mid-sized car and I refuse to carry luggage in the cabin. Anyway, that was a few years ago and it served us well until the stitching came loose and we lost the bottom part of the plastic… Read more
harness clip. Obviously it is still usable, but I personally won't use it without being able the restrain my children properly. Bugger. We lost the cup holder early on as it pops off when the stroller is folded down and I think it ended up left in the car park. All in all, it served it's purpose but wasn't as durable as it could have been. - Compact - Not too expensive - Cup holder - Full layback - Easily removable wheels for even more compact folding - Not the best quality - Harness system fiddly
Best runabout pram I have ever owned! – Granted I bought this pram second hand and did not pay the RRP of around $170, I still believe that this is the best run about stroller I have ever owned and have used it for my son from around 6 months to 18 months. It is incredible light and I found it extremely easy to fold up. Even being heavily pregnant with my second I am able to fold… Read more
and lift into the boot with no hassle at all.
The wheels are big, but that gives it the versatility of being somewhere between a cheap stroller and a big bulky pram, and I, personally, found this an advantage.
I used this in preference over my $350 pram and would definitely buy again.
It is also extremely easy to clean and scrub without causing damage.
Would highly recommend as run about pram.
It is extremely easy to maneuver, but as stated in one of the other reviews, is not steered easily with one hand. Lightweight, easy to fold, easy to clean, great to maneuver. The strap to adjust the seat position is a 'clip', which is a bit annoying, but you get used to it. Have found the seat adjustment on even the best prams (such as my Phil and Teds)are the same.
Convenient, Small and Light Perfect Shopping Buddy – We originally bought a chunky Mother's Choice 3 Wheeler Moda Stroller for our baby but switched to using the compact Vee Bee Atom Plus which was given to us. We used the three wheeler for a couple of weeks but after realising it was not convenient at all - it just looked good - we switched to the Vee Bee. My daughter has used the Vee Bee from… Read more
the age of one month to now (she is now a tall nine month old) and the previous owners used it until their son was 3 years old.
At first, we had no car and caught buses everywhere and this pram was easier to carry onto a bus as it was light and compact (compared to the three wheeler that didn't fit at all on some older style buses where we had to fold the pram down for it to fit - the VeeBee was easy for me to lift up onto the bus without any assistance, and it was slim enough to push down even the older style buses).
Now that we have a car we find that it is just as easy and it can fit almost into any boot(even a Toyota Corolla Hatchback). We have a station wagon and can put the pram fully erect in the boot as it is without folding it and still leaves lots of room for shopping bags.
It is very convenient, small & light and ideal for shopping. As a mother who loves shopping, I chose this pram over the chunky three wheeler pram because it can fit in the tight space in between isles in the shops. I would proudly push the Vee Bee Atom Plus smoothly in and out of isles - while other mother's struggled to fit theirs in and they had to wait for people to pass.
The shopping basket is big and runs all the way to the front which is very handy.
If you want convenience and hassle free shopping I recommend the Vee Bee Atom! Convenient, light weight, small enough to fit in the smallest shopping isles, compact (while pushing it and while folded) can fit in any standard boot (even fit in a hatchback corolla). Really easy to push and turns on the spot. Lack of suspension does make it bumpy but in my experience our baby enjoyed the bumpy rides. We would often use this pram to put her to sleep in because the bumps soothed her. Big shopping basket. The hood is too small and one side comes off all the time. We have to constantly put a blanket or rain cover over the top for it to protect baby from sun or rain. The cup holder snapped off and you cant replace it because the handles are an unusual shape. The peep holes on the sides are of no use - you can't see baby at all unless you stop and walk to the side of the pram and look in- and I had to actually cover them because the sun would shine through and irritate baby. It is often hard to recline the seat because of the strap at the back that holds it together. The seat isn't very comfortable material so you would need to be a liner or sheepskin. The straps are annoying to adjust from sitting upright to sleeping.
Terrible – i would not recommend this stroller. for the price you are better off getting a $100 umbrella stroller as it will collapse a LOT smaller and be easier to steer. large underbasket, one foot/both wheels brakes, full recline. where to start. weird handles make one hand steering near impossible with a toddler in the seat. windows in the hood are on… Read more
the side and meshed so you cant see bub at all when pushing the stroller. its heavy for a stroller and doesnt fold down very small at all. the cup holder is forever popping off. the fabric is a bit rough for bub, def need a liner/sheepskin. the harness clips are fiddly and annoying as you have to loop it through the bottom piece every time. the foam front bar perishes too easily. the hood mounts on the sides often popped out. collapssing is a nightmare! you have to pull two push pins up simultaneously and hold a trigger down and it never lines up right, you have to jiggle it.requires both hands to fold down.
Good – Other than the very serious strangulation risk posed by the layback straps, the cons for this stroller are quite minor. The pros far outway them. We bought this pram for travel & to keep in the car instead of dragging the mountain buggy everywhere. I was prepared to pay $169 for it because it seemed much sturdier than all the $100+ lightweight… Read more
laybacks. Luckily it came on sale at Big W for $98 the day I bought it. I'm happy with the Vee Bee Atom and would recommend it to anyone looking for a lightweight stroller for a younger or smaller baby. Accessories that fit and a safer design for the layback straps would make this the ideal holiday &/or shopping/car boot stroller. Lightweight. Layback. Wide seat for a small stroller - comfy for baby. Great price. Sturdier than other strollers in the same price & weight categories. Turns on a dime - I was surprised. Looks good. Easy to move when folded too. Comes with the bumper bar. Huge basket is easy to access, even when in full layback mode. Can lay stroller back from upright quite easily if baby falls asleep. Drink holder comes off too easily; we lost it on a flight :(. Instructions didn't mention putting petroleum jelly on the wheel axil until AFTER you couldn't access it anymore - now I worry about erosion etc. One side of the clips (buttons to fold the pram) ALWAYS gets stuck. The movement into layback position might be too easy - it takes a bit of practice & a lot of care not to "drop" your baby into layback position. Layback isn't totally flat. Might be too short for older babies - my son is a small 12-month-old & I'm not sure how much longer he'll fit in it - it's already cuddling his head when laid back. No soft covers for the shoulder/leg straps. Peek-a-boo windows on the sides of the canopy aren't very useful; a top viewing window would have been better. Due to the unusual (albeit funky) design of the handles, standard rain, storm & sun covers don't fit very well. I don't know whether Valco made any accessories for this unusual pram. It'd be nice to have a storage pocket you don't have to bend down to reach. Most importantly: there is a SERIOUS SAFETY DANGER that absolutely stunned me when I was putting together the stroller. The layback function operates via two straps that hang at the rear of the pram. The straps are fused together at the ends. Unless the pram is in fully-laid-back mode, the straps create a frightening STRANGULATION DANGER for any child wandering around the outside of the pram. DON'T LEAVE TODDLERS UNATTENDED AROUND THIS PRAM WHEN UPRIGHT.
Good – Brought this stroller to use in the car since my large heavy '4WD' stroller took up too much boot space and didn't fit into most shops. Have ended up using it more than my main stroller. The VeeBee Atom Plus is a wonderful stroller, we have taken it half way around the world and had no problems - though the lack of suspension did mean that the… Read more
cobblestones in Paris were a tad bumpy :) Travel with it on the train at least 3 times a week and frequently get asked where I got it. Light weight and fits most places. Bottom basket is surprisingly large and drink holder a nice bonus. The biggest plus is its mobility, it turns on the spot thanks to the front wheels. We love the reclining seat: my tall son - who is now 6mths - can very comfortably sleep in it, we've had it since he was 3mths and my small 3yr old niece has also napped in it. Handles don't have any height adjustment. Harness straps are quite fiddly to do up.
Would have been nice if it had reversible handle... but you can't have 'everything' in a stroller of this weight.
Good – It's great, mostly cause bub loves it, am considering replacing it with a new one as the previous owner has mistreated it somewhat, and would certainly look at the same again. Price is quite good too in comparison to other similar models. I love this pram for it's easy steering, the huge basket, the easily removable front bar, it's light and… Read more
compact when folded, and bub loves it, she is happy and comfortable in it. Probably not so much the fault of the pram, but more the previous owner who hung lots of weighty bags on the handles, causing the pram to now have 'flex' at the point where it folds, pram still operates well though and is still secure. Also as we got it secondhand the cup holder was missing and seems impossible to replace, because of the handle design there isnt any other style of caddy that can be attached.Fold mechanism can be tricky as you have to lean over the top of the pram to fold it.
