supportive. My back feels way better and for the first time in years I can even sleep on my side all night without waking up in shoulder pain because of the awesome way they've set up the springs. It's a bloody good mattress. Medium firm is an apt description. My partner who sleeps on a very firm (concrete slab) mattress even likes it. So I think this mattress will sit well with anyone, whether they're coming from soft or firm.. this mattress is a perfect balance of both in a way. If they're still selling mattresses in 15 years when this one's had it, I wouldn't hesitate to buy the exact same one. Thanks Valmori team!

heading towards 70 it was important to have a mattress that I could easily maneuver to make the bed and scoot the mattress around 360 degrees every now and then. I have slept on this hybrid mattress at my friend's house and new it was good. Tried to talk my sister into buying one but her husband insisted on a $3000 + mattress that weighs a ton and she has to get him to lift it up while she makes it! Keep up the good work Valmori.

brands I compared but I just felt inclined to try it. This may or may not have been due to their quirky ad campaign lol... Unfortunately I didn't realise they were on pre-order, so we did have to wait 2-3 weeks for the shipment to arrive. However, their staff went above and beyond to get the mattress to us, with one of the warehouse staff members personally delivering our order to us at 11pm on a weeknight which we were very grateful for. The mattress expanded very quickly and after waiting the recommended 1 hour before using, we enjoyed our first nights sleep. We are so pleasantly surprised by how comfortable this mattress is! We use it with the gel topper, mostly to give it extra depth for the fitted sheet, but it's so comfy that I sometimes think I can't feel anything at all, neither hard or soft, just comfort. The gel topper offers an extra layer of cooling comfort, which is awesome because we are both hot sleepers! Furthermore, the motion transfer is so minimal/basically non existent that I can never feel when my partner gets in or out of bed. I have also swapped my ergonomic pillow to one of the pillows from the free set and I won't be going back. Now onto my design improvement recommendations. I think the mattress would benefit from handles at either end and on both sides. The mattress is DENSE and HEAVY and changing the sheets is a chore. Also, the mesh fabric used around the sides of the mattress is quite harsh and scratchy and wedging your hand between the bed frame and the mesh is not a nice feeling. And while this review is not about the topper, I think the mattress should have some additional loops the topper belt can thread through to keep it in place, because the minute you lift a corner of the mattress to remove/add your sheets, the strap holding the topper on just flips up and off. Overall, very pleased with the mattress and the delivery service, despite the wait. My partner and I keep saying this is our favourite mattress we've ever owned and we haven't been shy about telling our friends and family about it. With a 100 day trial period, there's really no risk, so I would definitely recommend you try!

Best night sleep for a long time – We love our new Hybrid mattress. I suffer from a bad back and was nervous buying a new mattress in case it made it worse. The opposite has happened. Perfect for a side sleeper and managing a difficult access situation – So far, an excellent mattress. The ease of getting the box up a bendy staircase, as opposed to a normal mattress, can't be understated. Allowed it to expand and air for 24 hours as recommended, and it is the right balance of firm and soft.
