The agents sent out a new door and were supposed to either replace or fix the clock. The clock bit never happened, so I’ve never used it. It’s a pig to clean. Any stray crumbs from the top toaster/grill fall all the way through to the back of the lower oven hinge and the only way you can get them out, without taking the door off is with a small artist’s brush. The doors are double glass but the bottom door has vents along the top so stuff gets between the sheets of glass and the door has to be dismantled to clean properly. There’s a fan which drives me nuts. It’s not the one inside the oven. Apparently it’s to keep the electronics cool. It started to make a noise as if it was unbalanced. It activates when the oven/s reach temperature and continues for about 30 minutes after being switched off. I wouldn’t have another one if it was free!

Oven is awful, does not work. Would give 0/5 if possible – Oven is awful, does not work. Would give 0/5 if possible. Pre-heat thermostat burning wire smell when turned on. I dont feel safe to turn on the oven due to this weird smell without anything inside. Cooktop is working well. Oven is a piece of waste. Waste of money... it is piece of crap. Even don't bother for Venini brand at all – Highly unreliable product, oven never worked. Whole unit never worked well. even it's parts can't find anywhere... Called to post. Bloody expensive We can buy new one. What a joke. Show details

oven has just died again – The Cooktop works well, I've had the element replaced once and now 6 months later it would even turn on. The relay clicks when you turn on but no light or heat via the oven or grill. Not working at all. Anyone help as I don't know where to start, Cheers  Show details

Frustrated owner – Cooktop is fantastic, however only had this oven for 3 years and the bottom element has now blown twice. This is not a cheap process to fix. Feel there is obviously a problem with the oven. Can't afford to keep fixing this issue and it seems like this has happened to other customers as well. So not very happy at all.  Show details

not very good at all – Came with our flat, never cook ok, cakes cook very quick and more on the right size, very hot always, can graduate the temperature. the grill not work good very smelly all the time, we stop using. Ages to turn on – It is a piece of crap, got with our house package, it takes ages to start. If you turn it off and want to turn back on it won't. Technician has visited 4 times and still no progress and retailer is arguing to replace it. One word .. piece of CRAP.  Show details

Less than 2 year old, tried to set fire to the place – The stovetop is fine, the oven is terrible. Those sparks turned into a small fire. I switched off the power and the fire died down after a few minutes - who knows how this may have ended up. I got this as part of my housebuild - I wish I'd paid the money for something different now.

Cooks fast – I love the oven cooks everything perfect al different features on it best oven I've ever used and it's very fast to cook just got to be careful that you don't go over or it will burn your food roast lamb comes out moist and tender I'd say buy one you won't regret it  Show details

Disappointing – We got the oven with house package. Had this oven for 4 years now. After 1 year element died, now it appears another element has gone. Not going to bother repairing, as it would appear from many on this and other reviews that more trouble will be around the corner.  Show details

Rubbish nothing but trouble – Got this oven in our house package and has been terrible since day one have to cook food 20 minutes longer just so it will cook properly. element in the oven has burnt out twice now. Terrible - never gets hot enough! – If I could give NO stars I would. Had issues with temperature since day one, seems to take longer to cook and temperature not hot enough. And now 3 years after the rear heating element has died. Absolute piece of rubbish oven. 2 year warranty?? It seems all ovens of this type are faulty with the same issues! piece of crap, may get something back os stainless steel in product – i am the same as most others, oven is crap, [ part of a house package ] ended up getting timer disconnect, only 3 years old and now going to replace it, i notice also that venini has discontinued this stove, this does not surprise me in the least, already on second stove element.dishwasher the same , piece of rubbish

Wall oven – Don't buy this junk. Mine exploded in the kitchen glass every where, only 6 months old. Piece of crap!! I'm going to find out more and tell everyone and search more to report this brand as crap. Really a don't buy one junk crap wall oven. Do your home work first.

Worst oven ever – Have had the oven for just over 3 1/2 years have had problems since day one same issue with temperature got it fixed under warranty and has been OK till yesterday looks like the element has packed it in not happy would not recommend this oven to anyone and was part of a home package

Rubbish – Not happy with this product at all. It was part of the house package that I bought and I would gladly put extra in if I knew how crap this oven was. warning do not buy – would not recommend this. the oven cuts out all the time now we now can not use at all. it worked at the beginning but wouldn't work 195 degree. now it reaches to 80 degres than cuts out. would not buy this brand ever again. if any any one had the same trouble and was able to fix it. let us no. cook top okay oven eventualy stops working power cuts off

Avoid – We got this Venini VEF90EG as part of a "kitchen appliance package" so had no choice really. Upon delivery and set up it looked good. 3 years now (bought July 2011). The oven temperature has never been correct as per other reviews. It just does not get hot enough to really give good baking performance.

I know why and it`s A design fault in my opinion - the oven temperature issues are due to the fact that the temperature probe inside the oven sits way to close to the rear element - almost on top of the casing/housing that shields the rear element which has the fan force motor which drives the fan.

As the temperature probe is too close it constantly cuts the rear element heat out - that's why this oven does not perform.

I have also had the rear element just completely burn out (June 2014) - sourcing a replacement element was easy thorough the importer and parts supplier - "Think Appliances" - cost around $60 from memory. However the intricate wiring of the rear element makes it a nightmare to reconnect the wiring back to the element.

The top (grill) element is easy to replace - have replaced that one as well. Cost about the same as the rear element $60.

If you need to replace these elements - go direct to Think Appliances - no aftermarket elements will fit this make/model - you have to buy OEM.

I have also had to replace the oven thermostat recently (July 2014) - it just completely burnt out and therefore stops the oven working - half way thought the lamb roast - and upon inspection it`s just a low quality unit and the wiring connectors for that matter are all low quality as well - they also burnt out.

The thermostat can be replaced with an aftermarket one - cost about $60 as well. I didn't bother chasing an OEM one. I also moved the position of the temperature probe away from the rear element - and this has improved the performance of the oven (seems to hold the heat better now - not cutting out as much).

So in summary - the Venini VEF90EG is a low quality product with real oven problems and until they recognise the issues and fix them I would avoid as all costs.

I had no issues when I phoned them to order the elements - polite service - knowledgeable and filled my order correctly. The gas 5 burner cooktop is good to great. The oven is a disaster.

I hate this oven – I hate this oven it takes ages to cook anything and I have to cook it so high I had the service man out and he said thats whatt it's like because it's so big ot cant hold the heat the cook tops ok but the oven really bad id never buy it again

I'm Happy – I have had this oven now for just over 1 year. I find it pretty good. We did have a problem when we first started using it. then have not a problem. We use the oven approx 2 to 3 times a week and it still going good.....I must be one of the lucky ones....Good for it's price range... The cooktop is fantastic.... Not good for grilling.....

The new oven that gets old very quickly – If your after a good gas cook top this one is great, if you want an oven that works, try something else. shocking dont buy will not cook – The oven is hopeless, will not cook. You set it on 180 deg celsius and the preheat light goes out but if you place a thermometer in the oven its not getting even close to the set temperature. Company who imports these ovens very hard to deal with. Gas cooktop fantastic. Buyer beware. gas cook top everything with the oven
