The best uhf cb

This is the best uhf cb I have used easy to use. Good loud recieve audio. Solid and made to last . One very important think only buy from a dealer that can programe the radio now that they are narrow band the mic gain needs to be turn up to the highest setting +10 DB. No one will hear you when it's on the standard setting. Prestige radio in Western Australia did for me for extra cost

Fully featured, Higher power obtainable.

These units can be p.c. programmed for the usual 80 narrowband channels plus many business ones as well. There are two 2 versions, with 25watt or 45 watt power. The 45 watt version is the U.S.model. Yes...they can do this power on the UHF CB bands, just like the Icoms, Motorolas etc. Most of these commercial type units are bought exclusively for this reason. The only problem is that 5watts is the legal limit and you risk a heavy fine and confiscation if caught. Buy the unit on E-bay From H.K . With Paypal.
small, clear transmit & receive, no inter-mod at all in CBD areas, loud audio in noisy environs
Nothing really

Try Andrews communications in greystanes they may be able to helpHi there Russell, Being in Brisbane i am not sure of any place except Andrews Communications. The shop sells and deals in Vertex gear. That shop deals with standard mods ie. converting the old 40 channel system to the new 80 channel one. I have heard they can be quite expensive. Other mods which are really bending the regs such as 25/45 watt power levels or private channels etc are in the hands of the pc users. These people are around the CB bands UHF& 27MHZ. In Brisbane people openly talk about high power Motorola 100 watt units. Probably some discreet enquiries on the UHF may get results................................Ed.

Iv owned the ic400 it's a good radio it's a bit tricky putting extra rx channels by the front panel best it u programe them by the programe software on the computer. It just come down to personal taste with these 2 radios they both very goodHowdy - ok thanks / I used to have a gme tx3500s though it had to be sold as sometimes uhf cb can be a good idea to use and at other times it can be not that good as some uhf cb operators are alright though some other operators are just shockers as they come out of nowhere and ruin the recreational uhf cb experience - cheers
