My 73year Mum bought this model and the engine broke exactly 1 year later. The cord wouldn't pull and the blades wouldn't turn, it completely seized up. wouldn't honor the 5 year warranty because the oil was "dark and metallic" looking but the mower itself was clean, dust free and still solid. I use Valvoline Power Armour 1L Oil 4 Stroke SAE30. The mower repairers told Briggs that they don't agree with their decision, that it's an engine fault but Briggs and Stratton won't repair their faulty lawner or refund it, they only offered a partial refund on the engine part, my Mum still has to pay for the rest of the parts, gst and labor costs. Don't buy a lawn mower that's covered by Briggs and Stratton, tight wads won't honor their warranty. My Mum is better off buying Aldi.
Not fit for purpose – Bought this mower less than 12 months ago from Bunnings and I do not believe how badly it performs. They claim it is an easy start but try doing a hot start it simply does not fire up. I went back to Bunnings and they said as it was more than 30 days old they could not do anything. Their comment just put it on Gumtree and buy another brand, not good enough Bunnings or Victa. Show details
Great Mower – After searching for a mower in my price range $400-$700 and scouring numerous websites I settled on this mower. I have to admit it wasn't one of the ones I was originally interested in. Once I got it home it was easy to set up. I added the oil and it started first pull. I have a 600 metres of lawn and can do it in half the time my old mower took using the mulcher attachment. Absolutely rubbish – Don’t waste your money. Has No guts had less than a year and always trouble starting. Never by victa again. My 23yr old victa pacer has more guts. Totally disappointed with a so called aust icon. Oil comes out of exhaust and any grass over 2” has to be re cut more than once Show details
Not bad – I had this lawn mower for a year, i got mine at price match at Bunnings at $404. The lawn mower was working well at start but i think it did not work anymore after i tilt it to the side and the engine oil went into the filter. clean the grass below. Lesson learnt. But all been well and still using the lawn mower.
The only complaint is that the grass catcher didn't have a proper fitting so it always ends up opening, so we had to tie it with a rope to keep the grass inside and close.

simple and even after completing my front and back lawn I had only gone through a quarter or a tank of fuel (My last mower had to be refilled once I had finished the back!) If u can get you hands on one of these you will reap the rewards with a beautiful cut professional lawn!
Best mower i have ever used! – Very happy with the Victa Super Mulcher. Picked it up brand new from bunnings yesterday, set it up, filled it up with oil and fuel and on the first pull, she started. mulch the grass so well. This function saves using the catcher and suprisingly, it didnt leave clumps of grass everywhere. In fact, when you look at the grass after youve mowed it, you cant even see the mulched clippings!
Overall, i am very happy with this mower. So glad i made the choice to upgrade to this model (was previously looking at the $399 models from bunnings ) but this is so much better. Highly recommend!!
