Best mower ever – Easy to start. Parts are cheap, after purchase support is great even if bought second hand. Best $10.00 I've ever spent in my life, uses next to no fuel while in operation. Next to no fumes emitted whilst I'm use. Easy to start for me & for the elderly. 10+++ mower.
Mustang V40 – I bought my second Victa, a V40 Mustang in 1988. I have just had to scrap it as parts are scarce in the UK and no one is importing them in any great quantities. Best mower I ever had. Tough and reliable and it would cut really tall thick grass. Please, someone, start importing them again. I treated it poorly and it still came back for more. It's like losing an old friend. Boo hoo!
Havent tried yet – if ya take the lever off and bend it with a hamme so its a very tight snuggle fit! Problem soved.
Fantastic Mower – I've had my V40 for 8 years. I service it myself and it's been reliable throughout starting within the first 3 attempts every single time. I would recommend this mower to anyone with a medium garden. It cuts perfectly every time and I'm sure it will be with me for many years to come. I've just had it professionally serviced. It had a carburettor… Read more
overhaul as well as a new breather pipe, air filter and throttle control adjusted. Cost was a measly $116. Not bad for 8 years. Reliable and service parts are cheap. Most can be purchased from Bunnings
Best budget mower I've owed – Great mower for the money, 4 years and no problems at all. Cuts my lawn with the same results every time. Low maintenance and easy to service. Not to heavy to push about even with a full load. My first Victa mower and it won't be the last. The Briggs and Stratton motor runs sweet and easy on the ears reliable, inexpensive, easy start paint coating could be better, chips off easy
Very, very reliable – I have had my mower for a number of years and with my 800+ square meter block the fuel tank only needs to be filled up at the beginning of the day and thats it. It starts on the very first attempt with full choke, even after a month in the shed. The only draw back i have found is that the deck height adjustment will bounce out of a setting and… Read more · 1
drop straight down to dirt, but this was easily fixed with a zip tie at my preferred cut height. Overall a very easy to use and great mower. Easy start, large fuel tank Height cut adjuster bounces out as it pleases
Smooth, reliable and easy to maintain! – I have had me Victa V40 for over three years now and the few problems I have had with it were a result of leaving it out in the elements a little too long and have been easy to fix myself. smooth, reliable and simple to maintain Some parts are a little flimsy
Great mower, consistent results – Easy and problem free 3 years ownership and with cutting results consistent. Easy service and maintenance. Great mower true to its prize. Reliable and worth the investment.
