FOR FLYSCREENS FIVE STARS – main reason for this rating is the rough side if used dry on dry flyscreens removes all dirt and fluff caught up in the wire. Especially after recent westly winds our screens were so dirty but all sorts of other matter caught up in there could not stand looking at them. Once you wet the screens impossible to remove the hairy residue.

Purchased in at Coles for $6.

Fantastic cloth – I stumbled across this awesome cloth a while ago. I have been using it to wash dishes/glasses and pans. The smooth side is great as a normal cloth and the rough side is strong but gentle on food. Having trouble getting more, I will be stocking up next time I see them.

This is something I can't do without – I love my Vileda 2 in 1 magic cloths for cleaning my nonstick pans and wiping down my dark granite. 10/10. Both Woolworths and Coles at Charlextown no longer stock them. Not happy about that.

Purchased in at Woolworths for $3.

Possibly the first cloth in the history of mankind that is difficult to use – Given Vileda dropped their superb Actifibre cloth from the supermarkets, I thought I would try one of these as a replacement. I always preferred Actifibre to standard microfiber as it had an amazing ability to wipe down to an almost dry finish with minimal wringing, and had a great hand feel where microfiber snags on dry skin, rough fingernails..

The 2in1 cloth looked like a microfiber in the package, so I thought it would be mediocre, but it turned out to be terrible. The main issue is the reverse side is banded with one section in quite long (for a cloth) loops of fiber.

So the way I use a cloth is a wipe a surface with a quarter, turn it, wipe another, fold over wipe, turn wipe, etc up to 8 times, then rinse. wring, continue. Not possible with this cloth as the opposite surface does not grip to itself due to the banded loop (polishing?) strips so if this cloth is folded in any way it simply slips on itself and not on the surface.

I am sure this has a use for someone who always uses a cloth on one totally flat face, but I am not one. Basically a waste of money for me as I cannot think of any use for it around the home.

Bring back Actifiber!
