good juicer – Was fantastic at first but now gets blocked constantly, I guess I'm up for some new parts. Still love it but very expensive to maintain if the parts need annual replacing. Of course the motor will keep churning your money towards those new parts for the next ten years, winning Hurom.  Show details

Vitality4life Hurom400 Juicer – Was quiet and performed ok for about 4-6 months and was then would not clear the pulp out of the screen and juice separated into liquid an pulp like my Panasonic. Four attempts to get service from the company before a result. Then new screen $75 plus postage. Nearly $400 for the juicer then $150 a year for screens -not good value at all. Quiet and nice juice for the first few months. Screens do not last and very high maintenance costs

No good for leafy greens! – My Huron does a poor job with greens and also leaves ALOT of product in the juice. I have complained to Vitality4life and was told to buy fresher greens! It has too many moving parts making cleaning difficult and it was expensive. After 3 months I'm over it! I expected better service than was offered. Like most cold press juicers, its quiet. Won't do leafy greens - leaves a lot of product in the juice. (stringy and lumpy)

Good juicer – My toddler likes juice and I have decided to buy a slow compress juicer which can obtain more fibre in the drink. Read all the review and decided to go ahead with Hurom. It has 10 years warranty and I believe it also mean it seldom has problem of the motor (seem they can able to offer 10 years warranty on it). It's a bit expensive but my family… Read more

happy with the result.

If you are after a quick drink, this might not the juicer for you as you need to cut the fruits/ vegetable in smaller size to get a smooth run in this juicer.

it's quiet and so far I am happy with it. produce quality juice. expensive and heavy

Don't waste your money – This machine was awful. From the day I got it I was disappointed with the amount of pulp in the juice. Awful to clean! there is so much surface area, and nooks and crannies you just can't get a brush or cloth into so it got grimy really quickly. The pulp would clog up the chutes and be really hard to get out because it was packed in so tightly. … Read more

There was sooo much pulp in the juice itself, to me it was undrinkable unless I strained it through a nut milk bag and squeezed the hell out of it and then I would get as much as 1/2 of pulp from 800ml of juice.

It clogged up really easily. Soft fruit and veg juiced okay but stringy, fibrous or hard veggies wouldn't crush properly, and would end up wrapped around the auger, and stuck in the machine. I ended up working out that clogging was lessened (to a small degree) if I cut up everything into really small pieces but that was sooo tedious and sometimes I wouldn't make juice just because the effort from start to finish was ridiculous.

I was skeptical about how much pulp there was, I would sometimes have more pulp than juice and since getting a new juicer I've learnt just how inefficient at extracting the liquid the machine really was.

I had the machine about 1 1/2 years, and towards the end I couldn't even put apples through without it getting clogged and spitting half of the apple out with pulp. I got rid of it gladly and replaced it with a horizontal juicer.

I would never recommend a vertical juicer ever again, they are awful. Instead go for a horizontal juicer and one twin augers if you can stretch the budget that much I got my daily juice, small amount of bench space needed Too much pulp in juice, hard to clean, pulp was wetter than I believe acceptable for the price, it got more inefficient as it got older

Leaks when juicing leafy greens – I regret buying this model.. should of got the Oscar 900 instead. Juicing spinach, endives, celery, beetroot leaves, will result in a wet table top every time. No matter if I chop leafy greens into tiny pieces, or mix it with hard carrots, the leaf fibres will still block the machine. The HU 400 Pro is only good for hard fruit and veggies. good for juicing hard fruit and veggies Bad for juicing greens.. machine will leak all over the table.

Yes, I agree. My Huron does the same with greens and also leaves ALOT of product in the juice. I… Read more (+1 reply)

So far so good – I received my new juicer this morning and like the previous reviewer I had a Breville Fountain Juicer before, but now I'm into using spinach and parsely in juice, I found I wasn't getting enough juice from the softer veggies so I looked for a cold press juicer. This feels like a solid appliance, looks good and takes up a lot less bench space… Read more

so I'm happy to have it sit on the bench permanently. From reading other reviews on cold press juicers I decided to juice something soft followed by something hard and today's juice included lemon, orange, spinach, beetroot, ginger and celery. It handled them all with ease.

The juice was very clear with less pulp than experienced with the Breville. It was easy and quick to clean and reassemble which definitely inspires me to use it every day. The thing I noticed most is that although it comes with a plunger to push fruit/veg down, you don't really need it. And it's got a very quiet operation. I'm extremely pleased and can't wait to use it again tomorrow. Size, design, quality The chute is smaller so you have to cut fruit/veg up more but who cares? Only takes 5 seconds longer

More juice! – I have had a Breville juicer before this one, I never used it, too big and took a lot to clean up afterwards. The Hurom 400 is so easy to use, to clean and you do get a higher yield, the juice from 1 orange was 200ml that is nearly double what I used to get. The juice has a lot more colour too, the pulp is almost dry, even from cucumbers! I did… Read more ·  1

pass the cucumber back through the juicer and used the pulp in my home made tzatziki. I know at $449 it is more expensive than other makes on the market, but you get what you pay for and with a 10 year warranty on the motor and 5 years on parts what more can you ask for? This is one kitchen appliance that will be out on my bench top and will be used! Higher Yield, easy to use and clean and excellent warranty Slightly expensive - but you get what you pay for!
