Worth the $ – I live alone so couldn't really justify the cost of a blender like this. I bought cheap $60 ones and was never happy. I found myself buying smoothies at different shops a few times a week which are $9 each. This mixer was $1200 at the good guys and floor stock. I offered them $1000 cash and bought it. Best money I've ever spent, and I have barely… Read more · 1
touched the surface with using it. I make the smoothest, creamiest smoothies (better than the $9 ones), almond butter, pesto, creamiest pumpkin soup, roast potato and broccoli soup, pasta sauce...and I'm still practicing with it 2 years later! I have never used the dry container but that was included in the purchase so isn't wasted money. It can make bread dough and flours so I'll unbox that soon! My sister said I was crazy to spend $1000 on a "blender" (I call it a life upgrade and I eat so many more veggies now hidden in green smoothies, so it's a health upgrade too!) so she bought a $50 fancy one from Aldi. Looks exactly like a vitamix. But of course it isn't. I've taken my vitamix to her house and she can't believe how good my fruit smoothies are, she says they are better than boost juice! Only vitamix can completely pulverize those pesky strawberry seeds, making the smoothest drink ever! Her kids always request for me to bring the vitamix to their house to make fruit smoothies, and the first thing they ask for every time at my house is a smoothie! So she is investing in one also. Unfortunately this model is discontinued though. If you have a family and cook allot, and make smoothies, I can't recommend a vitamix enough! And let's not forget the 10 year warranty!
Edit- I thought I would update this post. Its now Jan 2021, so I've had this vitamix for 2.5 years. Its never missed a beat, still love it (although I am wanting the new one with the food processor attachment when it comes to Australia!), and I'm trying to make different things in it. I bought the vitamix cookbook which I also recommend, and has given me great ideas on what to make in the vitamix. I still cannot live with this machine, and I eat SSSOOO many more veggies than I usually would (not a huge veggie fan but the vitamix makes getting in greens too easy) as I make green smoothies with spinach, kale, parsley, banana, pitted dates, a touch of honey and a few nuts. I use almond or cashew milk that I've made in the vitamix and keep that in the fridge for 3-4 days. If you are debating about paying so much for a mixer, just go with the cheapest one which in Australia you can get for around $400 on sale. Having a vitamix is truly a life upgrade.
Not perfect but ok – I use to have a nutribullet but it was too loud so I upgraded before I had my baby hoping it would be quieter but it isn't. I have it in another room as its too loud to be in the kitchen. It doesnt blend aswell as I expected it too but still good. I have had it for 2 years now and motor is still going strong. I use to replace my nutrbullets every 2 years. I do think its well over priced. Show details
Brilliant – I have had my Vitamix since 2007 and it has never missed a beat. I paid $800.00 for it new, and have never had to use the warranty. I use it several times a week. I use it for things such as stocks, soups and green smoothies. The container is stained from 12 years of use, but that does not bother me. There are so many different models these days… Read more · 2
that I get confused. Mine is a basic model. It is very loud, but I have used it at 5am without waking anyone else in the house. The cats are terrified of it, so something to keep in mind if you live in a small house with nervous animals.
Love my machine but it broke and can't seem to get any help – I rate the Vitamix well I just have a major issue with the after purchase service. Seems like they lack staff in Australia - very difficult to get hold of anyone and my broken Vitamix still isn't repaired. Spent a lot on this machine, and I expect they could provide better customer service for this. Unhappy, very unhappy. Show details
Worth every cent – I've had my vitamix for around 4 years and it hasn't skipped a beat. I held off buying one for years because of the price and went through many blenders in the $350-$450 range only being left disappointed with the texture and concistancy of my smoothies. The vitamix really is worth every cent, chops thru just about anything. The engine is also… Read more
designed to be left running for a period of time to make soup (it's the speed of the blades that heat the liquid up.) Smoothies are amazing and smooth. No need to cut apples or carrots up into small bits like other blenders, so smoothie making is simple and quick. Easy to clean and a pleasure to use.
Much loved – We use our vitamix everyday for smoothies, nut/oat flour and baby food. After 15 months of continuous use it is still going strong. I find it super easy to use and clean. I use the dry jug as well as the standard wet jug. If you put the wet jug lid in the dishwasher it expands and wont fit the jug, but a day in the freezer sorts it out good as new. Love this appliance and highly recommend it Show details
Extremely noisy! My daughter gets scared every time I use it! – I don’t understand the fuss about this blender now that I own one. It is just a blender, a very noisy one! I am an idiot to have paid so much money for it. Would not buy again. Show details
Great but expensive – Cant decide whether the price tag is worth it or not yet but it works well and has quite good features. It’s not quiet but not really that loud either. Will definitely blend majority of your foods very well without any non blended lumps, good speeds. Overall its nice, but pricey Show details
$1000 for a blender, crazy or clever? – Sheer desperation drove me to spending $1000 on the Vitamix 750 after owning many blenders and finding none really good. After some research and paying some money for the test results from a German outfit I found that only the Vitamix 750 seems to liquify perfectly while lasting a long time. Does it really? First impression: A very solid… Read more
machine. Its controls and looks send a message: This is a no-nonsense blender for the professional. It does not try to dazzle the amateur with flashy displays and useless buttons.
And mercifully it does not come with the promise of miracle weight loss and eternal youth by “super” foods.
It has only one dial and two switches. They are strong and a pleasure to operate. It also has an electric off switch (not only an electronic one, as many other blenders). This means the machine uses no standby power when that switch is off, which saves about $17 per year at average Australian power prices.
The container:
Why aren’t all blender jars like that? The lid goes on and off easy and seals well. No twisting or pushing is needed to put the container onto the motor base. The coupling to the motor is metal to metal as it should be (and seldom is).
The container is made of plastic, which means there is no need to clean a seal between glass jar and jar base. The base of the container (which goes onto the motor base) and the jar itself are one single piece. This means no dirt and mould can be trapped between the jar and its base (as it happens with all other blenders I know).
The blade assembly can be removed for service.
It comes with a tamper, which is useful for thicker things and frozen food.
The accessories:
The blender comes with a posh hard-cover recipe book, with glossy paper and elegant layout. It’s clearly designed to help justifying the hefty price and it looks very good in my recycling bin. You find better recipes on the internet.
There is also a DVD with some instructions that I found just as useless.
Mixing:
The shape of the container, the design of the blades and the speed work perfectly together. After just a few seconds all bits and pieces are gone. No pulsing needed. Allow a bit more time and the tricky strawberry seeds completely disappear into your shake. The equally tricky pineapple gets completely liquified.
I don’t need to test it with a strainer, one mouthful of strawberry-banana milkshake is enough to see the difference.. And the shake tastes better also.
Noise:
It’s not quiet but not really that loud either.
Problems:
I postponed publishing this review several times hoping I’d finally find something to complain about the Vitamix. But apart from the high price I can’t find the slightest problem with it.
Summary:
The perfect blender for the frequent users and perfectionists.
Not as I hoped for! – To be honest if you had a stick to push all the ingredients into the blade on any blender it would do the same, the videos I watched of making ice cream etc just doesnt happen you have to keep adding liquid liquid liquid so it can mix then it turns out too runny, Ive followed the vitamix.com recipes to spot on and no bingo! Save your money buy something cheaper use a wooden spoon to push it into the blades Show details
This is where health comes from! – Vitamix is well-built and has good quality. It can help me grind the foods to a very delicate texture. No other blender can compare with it in this sense. If it can contain the function of cooking that's even better! Show details
Expensive but worth it! – I initially avoided vitamix due to the price but after buying a different high end brand that failed me, I put my pennies into a vitamix professional 750 series after some research and boy you get what you pay for. To begin with the noise level produced is less then other brands I've tried, the functions on the blender are easy to follow and are… Read more
well designed. Great colours, I got mine in copper and its got such a retro feel and look! Great build quality too. Smooth! Smooth! Smooth! No lumpy smoothies or nice creams. This thing is a monster! Frozen bananas blend into a smooth creamy dreamy consistency. The pulse button is excellent for grinding like a food processor as well. I don't use the preset functions because I prefer to have control over the speed settings, but it would be good for others that like to multi-task in the kitchen. The large jug is light and actually makes it easier to scoop and spoon out thicker blends like nice cream. Mine is always on the counter and gets used every single day! In fact I'm going to use it right now :)! Best blender I've used by far!
This is marvellous! My mum loves it – My mum uses it as a food processor despite it being a blender! She was skeptical at that price point but figured that it would not hurt because there was free returns and she never looked back! Best purchase ever (in her words). Build quality is exceptional Show details

Best blender! – This is the best blender I have ever used! I have tried roughly chopped vegetables, butter, egg, ice, soup and ince cream. It can blend everything fast and smooth. Negatives: Quite loud, a little bit expensive, blending jug is quite big. Show details
Fantastic!! – After trying another highly advertised brand of blender, and a truly disappointing experience which ended up with me getting a refund, I finally gave up on trying to find another option, bit the bullet, and purchased a Vitamix Pro 750. Why did I not save myself the grief and just get this in the first place??? Vitamix obviously has its reputation… Read more · 1
for a reason - they are the BEST blenders out there.
Smoothies, ice creams, nut butter, soups, rough chopping veggies, this machine makes it all a breeze. It has easily handled everything I have thrown at it.
The presets make it so easy for the whole family to use, but the option for manual control is still there if needed.
Also love the cleaning cycle, so easy and efficient.
Loud? Yes!, but it's only on for a short amount of time and the end results are worth it.
My only "complaint" is for the amount of money these things cost, I think the addition of a smaller jug would have been nice, instead I had to purchase one separately, as I do think the jug that comes with it is too large for single serves, which is the most common use in my house.
In the world of Blenders.....Vitamix is 'KING' – Nothing compares, or even comes close to a Vitamix Blender. Yes, it is an expensive purchase, however, you can expect years and years of reliable use, and it does EVERYTHING that it is called upon to do. This is a purchase that once being used, you will marvel at the quality of the food, and drinks that it produces. I have had mine for a few years now, and truely wouldn't want to live without it in my kitchen. Show details · 2
Best investment ever! – Because of my frequent use of making frozen fruity ice cream, l pretty much destroyed 3 other brands of blenders in 2 years. After l threw the 3rd blender in the trash, l decided it was time to invest in the best!!! I had heard all about Vitamix, and wanted the best of the best. I only wish i had of purchased one much sooner!!!! I've not come… Read more · 2
across any kind of blender that can blend up particular greens and dates fully, always stuck at the bottom of the blender. But with the Vitamin and its high speed, its not a problem at all, seconds to complete.
I leave my Blender out on the bench, set up ready to go because l use it so often with smoothies and ice creams. Its a little bit loud (what blender isn't?) but because it blends so quickly, you don't need it on for long.
i have so much food envy when l post photos on social media and can't promote these machines enough to friends and family. Im pretty sure lm responsible for about 7 friends investing in them just from my encouragement and yummy photos! Thank so much Vitamix - these blenders rock my wellbeing world!
Amazing power – I'm amazed at the power this tiny machine has, its never failed to deliver from what expect from vitamix. Stored on my kitchen counter where it gets used daily. I purely use it for my smoothies with all sorts of frozen goodies. Get all my nutrition from this beauty. Show details · 1
Love it!!! – I love my Vitamix 750 Professional Series!! I use it at least once every day to make the best and smoothest green smoothies but it is more than that as I can make delicious soups, ice creams, nut butters, almond and other nut milks, etc just so perfectly and easily!! I have tried other brands of high speed blenders but have to say that out of all… Read more · 1
of them the Vitamix is the best! It blends very well and quickly and yes it is loud but I find that no problem as the end result is so good!! Oh and as an added bonus when you have finished using it just pop in some water and dishwashing liquid and put it on clean cycle and it cleans itself, then just swish around some cold water and leave it to drip dry, couldn't be easier!!
Superb – One of the most expensive blenders around for a reason, it's fantastic. Worth every cent. Show details · 2

Now that I have the Vitamix, I couldn't live without it! – I've used the Vitamix daily to make smoothies, puree's, ice cream, sorbets, soups, pancakes, brownies, slices, nut butters and more. I love the 10 speeds which help blend foods that have various consistencies, adding to this the tamper is useful for pushing harder foods down into the blades, which I used to make nut butters. It's stylish design… Read more · 1
sits on my kitchen bench top, feels solid and sturdy, yet light enough to move around as needed. At high speed with the jug full of ingredients doesn't jump around. The large 2L jug is perfect for my family of 5 and the fact that it cleans itself is a bonus - a drop of detergent in the blender with water and 30 seconds later it's clean. The Vitamix has really made a difference in my kitchen prepping healthy meals and snacks for my family, making mealtime quicker with less mess. Now that I have it, I couldn't live without it!

My mornings are easy now! – Love my machine. So far it has mainly been used for fruit juice and smoothies. It handles the fruit both dried and fresh very well. I have not had any issues with my vitamin and love how easy it is to clean. It sits on my bench because I use it every day. In today's society I love that it makes everything so easy and quick. Gives me extra time in the mornings. I love my Vitamix. Show details · 1
Hardest working item in our kitchen – This machine gets used almost daily in our house to make smoothies. We also use it from time to time to make nut butter and ice cream. There is a great Vitamix video in youtube about this called Vitamix ice cream - Ice cream macadamia banana. The downside is that the machine is noisy, but there may be no way to get around that for the… Read more · 1
manufacturer with a machine this powerful.
The lid could fit a little better in my opinion. It seems not to have been so nicely finished. When I write finished, the moulding seems a bit rough. I am being a bit picky because it works but it lacks the feel I would have expected at the price of this machine. The power switch on ours is a little loose but still functions. I have concerns it will break.
The tamper means you can really get stuff down into the blades to produce smooth nut butters and sauces.
Overall this versatile, hard working machine beats other blenders we have had by a country mile.
Vitamix Professiona Series 750 – After months of "should I spend so much" I took the plunge and I am so glad I did. I did my research and some say it leaks (it does if the lid is not on correctly) mostly feedback is positive. I know someone who has purchased another brand and the volume is limited and frankly it does not remove seeds from berries. This really does liquefy all food. At $1500 (less the discount I received from Myer) So Happy with my purchase. Show 3 replies
