Cuts Out – Works fine as a smoothy maker but trying to make a nut butter or even frozen fruit to make an ice cream it fails after about 15 seconds, surely the motor doesn't over heat that quickly. Has done it from new but I've just been using a different blender. Show details

Great blender – We bought this more than one year ago and it didn’t miss a beat. It is small and handy for our two person family. It originally came with two cups in addition to the jar. We never used the travel cup that much though. Show details ·  1

Good personal blender, but not a Total Nutrition Centre – Seeking a personal blender and having previously owned a Vitamix Total Nutrition Centre, I opted for the S30 over other similar blenders. It's certainly not bad, my smoothies and soups came out smooth just as described, however having sought it out because of my great experience with the TNC I came up disappointed. There were two things I did not… Read more

like - the lid on the TNC is a rubber and it's very easy to take on and off, whereas the S30 is a tougher plastic that was tough to take off and flung the mixture when I did. Secondly, the blend-in-a-cup idea is great for grab and go but I found that my smoothies were very foamy so when I took the blender part off to put the lid on, I often had spillage. I ended up selling it secondhand because it was causing more annoyance than assistance.

I really do love Vitamix and have used their blenders for a broad range of recipes (eg. raw food cheesecakes, cooked soups) but if you want to buy this for the 'Vitamix' brand I recommend just investing in the TNC instead.

Fantastic Blender! – Actually processes the small seeds in berries. Slower to mix than the Nutribullet, but far smoother result with a better taste and consistency. The travel cups are awesome - stays cold for longer.  Show details

Great product – Perfect for making smoothies, nicecream, nut butters and lots more. Blitzes everything super smooth. Only issue is that the motor overheats when blending thick stuff. Love the travel mug, the pack comes with 2 of them. I use them for whizzing sauces which is great when you only want a small amount.  Show details

Love this blender – Best purchase. Blitzes everything smooth. Make fresh juice out of 2 oranges and a litter water, yum. It is very sturdy despite its size. It doesnt take up too much room on the bench to. Even the smoothie cups have a solid quality feel about them . I’m so happy with my Vitamix. Noticed others saying theirs danced across the bench on high. Mine has not done so. If your considering this machine I would definately recommend  Show details

Good little blender – I have the Vitamix Total Nutrition Centre and this one. I mainly bought this one because I wanted a blender I could use to blend small batches of thick stuff and I got a really good price from Catch of the Day - it was $308 and this included a cup and blender jug. (I also got another cup, very cheaply, from a different source). The TNC is probably… Read more

better as an overall blender, because the motor is more powerful, but it is a total pain to get thicker stuff out of because the bottom is not detachable. The S30 has a detachable bottom so it can be more easily scraped out.

Convenient – Great product, very powerful and does what it's designed to do. Sometimes I think it's too powerful for itself as it will rotate on the spot if used on high speed. Even though it is a compact blender you can do a lot with it and make large quantities of whatever you're doing. I love making soup with this blender. Just have to be careful with the… Read more

whole explosion thing due to the pressure build up from the heat generated when blending (common sense really).

Loader than i thought and dances across the laminate bench top when full on ?! But may try a matt of some kind ? Still, does a great job and has been great thus far ! Happy days  Show details

Used daily – Great blender! Comes with 2 bottles for on the go,blends everything smoothly with no problem. Makes slushes with ice blocks too.Bit loud but that’s not a problem for me. Most magic blender ever!!! – I've always dreamed of having a vitamix blender in my kitchen. Bought it from a sale promotion at Myer, now I cant live without it. I usually put chia seed in my smoothie and I hate when my previous blenders cannot blend them well, with Vitamix you dont even know that the chia seed is inside  Show details

I love this blender – I bought this to make smoothies at work (I often don't get out at lunchtime and sometimes work back at night). It never made it to work, though (I decided to pull he plug and retire early). But it is getting a lot of action at home making smoothies and fruit based soft serve ice cream. The soft serve ice cream is amazing. A small vanilla yoghurt,… Read more

frozen banana slices and frozen pineapple chunks make the most delicious desert. My partner, who loves his sugary treats, was so impressed with the fruity soft serve that he didn't protest to seriously when I mentioned that I'm thinking of getting a full size Vitamix. I really, really, really like this blender. Not as powerful as the full size Vitamix blenders, it still makes raspberries, pineapple, any frozen fruit totally dissipate in smoothies. I expected that I'd find bits of the pineapple in my smoothies but none so far. It is also really handy for making small quantiles of pesto and salad dressings. Because it comes with both a blender and two double layered smoothly go cups, it comes with a separate base that supports both the jug and the cups. This means that the jug/cups need to be disengaged from the base for cleaning, which may annoy some people who are used to using blenders with jugs fixed to their blade based, but if you are considering a smoothly blender you face that anyway and should definitely consider the Vitamix S30.

Love it!!!!! – Blends beautifully and fast need to buy myself a Kitchen Timer! Very robust machine it survives my efforts in the Kitchen (my last blender took up smoking after about two uses). cream on the rare occasions I need whipped cream for something. It is very noisy machine a small price to pay given the very good job it does. I find the tamper it comes with gathering dust more often than not. It makes short work of Ice something that most blenders just can't handle. Great investment

Buy the bigger one – After owning the 5200 vitamix and then purchasing the s30 I would say go for one of the larger machines. For a few hundred dollars more it's worth it. I thought I would enjoy the dishwasher safe parts but fiddling with rubber seals and having to cut up everything into small pieces doesn't compensate. Footprint on bench is not that different in the end. S30 may look prettier but doesn't deliver on performance.

Little Powerful Gem – I have been using Vitammix TNC5200 for 5 years, always love to use it. When I saw S30 firsly release in Australia, I was very excited except the price. However, I still pre-ordered it before the release date. Even though it looks tiny compare to other Vitamix models, it still makes great smoothies with nuts, seeds, kale & ice in there. The Solution to Nutrition "On-the-go" – I have been on the eternal quest for a quality blender. After watching every blender review on You-tube, reading every product review I could find in a magazine, interviewing friends and family and finally purchasing and testing many models, the search is over. No more disappointment from poor performing blenders, that do not puree, do not crush,… Read more ·  1

that crack and break jugs and also fail in a puff of smoke.

I have found the Vitamix S30. This product has versatility of a jug and travel cup that both fit onto the blender base. In my mad rush to leave the house for work of a morning I can blend a fruit & vegetable juice in minutes, add the lid and run out the door to enjoy a beautiful, healthy and cold juice in the car driving to work. This product ensures that I get a complete serving of fruit & vegetables, blended to such a smooth and silky texture, without sugar or preservatives and tastes great. As an added benefit, the base is so small that it hardly takes up any space on my kitchen counter and it is simple to clean.

As well as juices of any combination of ingredients, I have made nut butters, pestos, ice-cream, sorbets, salsa, and a huge variety of soups. The vitamix will heat your soup and cook the ingredients through friction. I love this feature. After a long and tiring day, I can add any combination of raw vegetables, fresh herbs and spices and some stock and in 5 minutes I have a beautiful bowl of soup for one. I use my Vitamix every day and love the improvement I have made to my level of health and well being through added nutrition.
