I had two vivo phones Y12 (bought 2019/2020) & Y55 5G (bought about 2022/23). I prefer Y12 but Y55 5G is also very good. Both are still working. Had to give up Y12 due to older OS not supporting some apps and Y55 5G still worksServed me 3 years each and they are still working. Great phones but sad they are not available in Australian market now.

Purchased in at Officeworks.

Good Value, Fast & Intuitive OS, Fingeprint Scanner + Free Screen Protector – The Vivo Y52 5G smartphone presents a compelling blend of features, performance, and affordability that caters to those seeking a reliable and versatile device without breaking the bank. Design and Display: The Vivo Y52 5G boasts a sleek and modern design that feels comfortable in hand. The slim profile and curved edges make it ergonomic and easy to hold. The device features a 6.58-inch IPS LCD display with Full HD+ resolution, offering vibrant colors and decent viewing angles. While it may not match the visual quality of OLED panels, the display is more than adequate for everyday usage, media consumption, and casual gaming.

Performance: Under the hood, the Vivo Y52 5G is powered by a capable Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 5G chipset, which provides commendable performance for a mid-range device. It handles routine tasks seamlessly and delivers smooth multitasking. While it may not be a powerhouse for resource-intensive gaming or heavy-duty applications, it does provide a satisfactory experience for the average user. The integration of 5G connectivity is a noteworthy addition, ensuring faster download and streaming speeds when connected to compatible networks.

Camera System: In the photography department, the Vivo Y52 5G offers a versatile quad-camera setup. The 48MP primary lens captures detailed and vibrant shots in well-lit conditions, while the 8MP ultra-wide lens expands your creative possibilities with wider landscape shots. The additional macro and depth sensors add versatility to your photography, though their performance might not be as impressive as the primary camera. The 16MP front camera handles selfies with good detail and natural skin tones.

Battery Life: Equipped with a 5000mAh battery, the Vivo Y52 5G excels in providing all-day battery life, even with moderate to heavy usage. The efficient Snapdragon 480 chipset, coupled with power management optimizations, contributes to a reliable battery performance. Additionally, the device supports 18W fast charging, allowing you to quickly top up the battery when needed.

Software and User Experience: Running on Funtouch OS, based on Android, the user interface of the Vivo Y52 5G may feel a bit heavy and cluttered to those accustomed to stock Android or other lightweight skins. However, it offers a plethora of customization options and useful features, including a system-wide dark mode and gesture navigation.

Value for Money: When evaluating the Vivo Y52 5G's value for money, it's important to consider its competitive pricing in the mid-range segment. It delivers a well-rounded smartphone experience with 5G connectivity, decent performance, and a versatile camera system. While it might not compete with higher-end flagship devices, it offers excellent value for users looking for a balance between performance and affordability.

Final Verdict: The Vivo Y52 5G smartphone impresses with its stylish design, satisfactory performance, and a capable camera system. It's a solid choice for individuals seeking a mid-range device that covers the essentials without compromising on key features. Its inclusion of 5G connectivity further enhances its appeal, making it a suitable option for those who want to future-proof their smartphone experience without breaking their budget.
