A great car with some unfortunate niggles – Almost everything about the car is great, stunning looks great performance and comfort and it has almost every comfort and safety feature you could want. But it had an annoying noise coming from the drivers door. It sounded like the window was rubbing on the door seal, especially on concrete roads and roads with tram lines. The VW techs could not… Read more

find what was causing it, the car also developed a clunk in the suspension which the service team could not find.

One other issue is the way the car jars when you go over those small sharp speed bumps like in Bunnings car parks, this may just be a penalty of 20" wheels.

It was my daily drive going to work etc. and a few road trips, serviced regularly.

Once tuned they are amazing – These cars look so good and with a performance tune they gain the much needed 25% extra power. No parts just a tune from a reputable company. Keep in mind though that the engine is strong but the gearbox is hit and miss. Could be strong metal but sometimes made from metal coloured paper Go ahead and buy it though. You won’t regret it, same price as a golf r but isn’t cheap feeling like a golf r. Show details

Performs amazingly well and is more premium than any car in its class – I have had the privilege of owning my Volkswagen arteon for almost 3 years and I can't believe how reliable and efficient it has been!! With more technology and accessories than you could expect for a car in its class and price range. I am yet to figure out all of the gadgets since it's packed full of them and I enjoy every daily drive and the… Read more

power it gives me when overtaking and even the safety that keeps me confident!! I wanted the Volkswagen arteon from the moment I saw one in person and compared to other cars this one was more luxurious and sporty with extras that others didn't offer as standard!! The standard features were beyond my expectations and my husband has fun with the launch control and sports mode. With a big digital instrument cluster interface and media touch screen with all the tools available and ambient lighting that changes colours to set the mood I wouldn't feel better driving anything else. Spacious is another factor with enough for a family and comfort is definitely provided!! People tend to stare and admire the beauty of my arteon and it grabs a lot of attention since its design stands out. Another thing to add is the camera quality and views from every angle so you can clearly see absolutely every detail in your vicinity. I am one very proud Volkswagen arteon owner and the 5 year warranty was much appreciated since other European car manufacturers only offer 3 years. Only pros and no cons from me!!

Prestige sporty and luxurious – The Arteon R Line is the best car I've ever owned. It is full of awesome tech and safety features plus is very sporty and faster than any other European car in the same price range and comes standard with way more equipment that would usually cost at least 20 thousand more in options with a Benz or BMW. The Arteon has been reliable and … Read more

service costs have been minimal and the fuel efficiency is excellent. I love the style and prestige character of the Arteon and doesn't lack anything. It's a spacious saloon with a huge boot and loads of room in the back for passangers. The car can even drive itself an alerts the driver by nudging the car in case you fall asleep at the wheel. It has a seat massager too which is cool. If you pop the car in sports mode you can get plenty of power out of it 0 to 100 in 5 seconds using paddle shifts. Also VW customer service has been great and owning the Arteon has been a great experience overall.

Sunroof creaking & low torque – Sunroof creaking sound whenever turning at low speed (Example: turning in/out from driveway). I also feel the accelerating power/torque doesn't do justice to the 268hp car. No power on demand, hesitate to overtake sometimes when you step on the accelerator. I have to release the accelerator and floor it again for the car to pickup/overtake. I… Read more

think this is a problem I read in some article that the car engine is sluggish. But once the car take off, then I can feel the acceleration power. Other than above, I am loving this car.

Severely under rated performer - Great car – I bought my Arteon in 2018 (MY17) to replace a 2009 BMW 335i. I was after something a bit different but was also drawn by the amount of kit that came standard when compared to Audis and BMWs of a similar price. I use it as a daily driver (roughly 150km per day) and have just ticked over the 100,000km mark last month. I am happy to report no major… Read more

issues. The original infotainment screen was replaced under warranty after about 6 months (minor lines on screen), otherwise its just been the standard servicing (every 15k) and a change of tyres. Very comfortable car to use on a daily basis, nice and calm in normal Drive, and gives enough aggression in Sport mode to put a smile on your face. ACRES of room in front, back seats and also the boot. Something unique I can add to my review is how well the anti-collision works. Just this week I had a car attempt to pull into the side of my car in an 80k zone. I was forced to swerve up onto a concrete median strip whilst slamming on the brakes. The car pulled up fast and held its line perfectly, even being on 2 different surfaces and levels. Still cant figure out how the other guy didn't hit me but the Arteon handle itself beautifully. You might see some reviews saying the car lacks "excitement" but after you have lived with one for any extended period of time you will grow very attached! Happy to recommend this car to anyone who asks!

Amazing car! – I've had my Arteon for a year and a half now, it has surprised me in so many ways! This car is absolutely amazing and beats every car I've owned throughout the years (several luxury cars) I never thought I'd buy Volkswagen but after I first test drove the Arteon, my mind was made up, it was an all-in-one and far better than the Mercs, BMW's and… Read more

Audi's that I test drove. I use it as a daily driver/family car and it is so spacious, comfortable, reliable, fast and has all the technology you could expect - plus more! The fuel consumption is excellent and the 15,000 service cost $350 (not bad at all) and the Volkswagen dealerships/service centres are a breeze to deal with. The Arteon is a very attractive car, it receives so many compliments and since owning mine, everyone wants one!

Value for money with premium features! – Travel to and from work, this car is the ideal cruiser. Plenty of room, all the latest features available and averaging 8.2L/100km, given that I do a lot of stop start during peak hours. Service interval is every 12 months or 15,000km. I have not had any issues in the 8 months I've had it, terrific car. Cross shopped with a BMW 4 series grand… Read more

coupe and this came up trumps, plus save yourself $20k when you upgrade the BMW to similar specifications as the VW Arteon!

Really surprised they're not selling more of these.

By far the best value for money! – This car has it all. I upgraded from a Holden Calais V 6.0L, and I haven’t looked back. The Arteon has features that I’d never even dreamed of, and with all the oily bits of a Golf R, it’s quick too! I travel to work and back, which is 70km each way in horrendous peak hour Sydney traffic, and I can easily achieve <8.0l/100km. In regular traffic,… Read more

I’ve seen efficiency sit at below 7.0 comfortably, and I tend to be a bit lead-footed.

When it comes to spirited driving, it’s got you covered, putting the car into sports mode changes the suspension firmness, steering sensitivity, and gear shift speed. Launch control still scares me, and the factory specified 5.6 seconds to 100km/h is false; I’ve constantly achieved and measured 5.4.

The fit and finish of the interior and exterior is exactly what you expect from a German manufacturer; everything is stiff when it should be, and the materials are all nice and solid. Coming from a Holden previously, the difference really is night and day.

You won’t find a better car at this price point, believe me. The BMW 3/4-Series, Mercedes A/C-Class and Audi A3/4 might look comparable, but once you add the option packs to get all the features that come standard on the Arteon, you’re looking at $90K+ and a car that just isn’t as fun.

I love my Arteon!! – I have had my VW Arteon for over a year now and LOVE it! There is nothing I can really fault about it because it handles so well and is stylish has so many awesome features and is actually very zippy. Best car I ever had comes with longer warranty then prestige brands. So much space in boot and back seat plus plenty of room in front. So many safety features and is very comfortable even long distance Show details

The Arteon has it all!! Looks, safety, comfort, reliability, technology, handling, space and we'll priced – I use the Arteon as a family car, plus a daily work car. I have owned many different cars (mainly luxury/sport cars) VW Arteon is the most unique car I've had, it's got all the tech, gadgets, sporty, luxury, reliable, safe and good LOOKS. After test driving a dozen cars (BMW, Merc, Jag, Range Rover, Volvo, Lexus, Alfa, Audi) I felt bland.… Read more

Something was missing in every model I tested. Upon test driving an Audi A5, I saw the Arteon at the dealership. I couldn't stop looking in its direction and ten minutes later I tested it. When I got back to the dealer I was sold on it! I've owned it for 6 months, I'm a proud owner and I receive endless compliments! It's very aesthetically pleasing.

Here are the pros and cons of the Artreon R-Line :

Pros: Sporty, luxurious, spacious, loads of safety features and a crisp 360° camera, sleek design, smooth steering, swift acceleration, crisp sound system, loads of tech and electronics. What got my attention the most was that I didn't need to add upwards of $10k for factory options like most luxury cars. The only upgrade that I made was the Sound&Style package (sun roof, bigger rims and upgraded sound system) for just a fraction more. No other brand had so much to offer, at such a fair price. I'm pleased with the fuel consumption, interior is top-notch quality. I love that it's AWD, it grips around bends and feels safe in all conditions.

No issues so far, everything is great! I can't complain, but if I really have to point out a fault, it'd be the heads up display - I find it distracting, so I don't use it. The list of the Arteon's awesome features goes on.

I love the unique artistic exterior and high-tech safety features. It's fast, 0-100 in about 5 seconds. Inexpensive to insure and great value for money.

Volkswagen created a beautiful car and loaded it with the finest features.
