your hand grips the handle, so it gets accidentally knocked on and off constantly, so you have a choice between cold air and tepid air. All the hair dryer seems to do is create a massive amount of static electricity in my hair so I look like I've been bouncing on a trampoline for hours. It takes 2-3 times as long to dry my hair with this as it does with my old Conair (supermarket buy for $25, lasted 8 years). Took it back to Harvey Norman, they plugged it in and said "it blows warm air - what's the problem?" Warm air, instead of hot air, is the problem, but the guy with no hair to dry couldn't understand the issue. So I'm stuck with a $100 hair drier that does nothing but blow stuff around the bathroom. This morning, I dried my hair using the bathroom heater and actually got a better result. Hoping to warn others about this piece of crap - yet another big brand making their stuff in China with predictable results.
