Worth its big price tag!
I am really impressed at how fast the Dyson Supersonic dries my hair and how ergonomic it is. With the speed of drying, it minimises damage to the hair significantly. This is a plus for me as I wash and blow my hair daily!
Aside from its very stylish exterior, the features I liked include the magnetic attachments and how easy it is to adjust the airflow by turning the attachment to your preferred angle. The 4 different nozzles it comes with are easy to put on and take off as they are attached magnetically without having to fiddle with clips ...that occasionally snap off or get brittle with time. The fan force power is very significant and this can be controlled with a touch of a button that illuminates the settings to how hot you want it to be and how strong the fan blows. The settings stay the same as when you've last used it. Safety wise, Dyson has done well in placing the air intake at the base of the handle and minimises risk of having long hair caught in the hair dryers that have the air intake at the other end of the blower outlet. This hair dryer comes camping with me as the extra long power cord is a blessing when you occasionally need to connect it to a higher wall outlet in the caravan park shower rooms. For its price, it definitely delivers the goods!

Save your money
I bought it. I must admit, I thought it was going to be awesome and it is good, looks cool, light weight, didn't fry my curly hair BUT one night I was halfway drying my wet hair, when it just died on me. I had it for 2 years and 4 months. I expected it to last longer. I used it on average once a week and when Victoria was in lockdown for months, I didn't use it at all.
Lucky I got extended warranty from HN and got a full refund. I would've replaced it but HN asked me to pay the extra cause the price has gone up by $60 and another round of pro...duct care. This sounds silly to pay extra for an item under warranty when it should be replaced. Not my issue the retail price went up. But then I read heaps of other people had the same issue where it just died after Dyson's warranty expired. I took my money and bought a new hair dryer for $185 that's alot better by a company that knows all about hair dryers. Dyson should probably stick to vacuums.

Brilliant product and time saver
I bought the Dyson Hair dryer as a Birthday gift for my wife, as she always wanted it.
It is by far the costliest hair dryer I have ever seen and purchased, but also worth every single cent.
It is also a very sexy looking hair dryer.
It comes with various attachments which are useful for styling.
It is easy to use, with the buttons to increase or decrease the power.
It is quieter than the normal hair dryer, my wife is able to use it when both the young children are sleeping, and it doesn't wake them up, and the bathroom is just next to the kid'...

I love my dyson hairdryer. It is light and easy to use. It has effecient drying capacity even with my thick hair. The head attachments can be easily change with its magnetic head and very easy to manuevre while drying hair.
The Dyson hairdryer is the answer to fine hair as it gives wonderful body and helps prevent broken ends as the temperature can be adjusted so easily. The only negative to this piece of machinery is the on and off switch which is a bit dodgy and waiting for it to breakdown completely

Must have beauty tool
I LOVE my Dyson hairdryer. It’s very lightweight and doesn’t overheat or ‘fry’ my hair even though it takes me a good hour to dry my thick hair. It also comes with all the necessary accessories.
It’s expensive but I would say absolutely worth it. My whole family uses mine and it’s still as powerful as when I first purchased it.
Best hair dryer ever!!
I have used many hair dryers over the years,I can honestly say without a doubt, the Dyson out performs them all. Leaves my hair shiny and smooth, with little effort. Happy customer.
THE actual best hairdryer!
I bought myself the Dyson hairdryer for my Birthday. I already had the straightener so I sort of knew I’d be happy with the dryer also. I wasn’t prepared for just how good it was! If you’re even thinking about buying one, go to a store and check it out. You’ll want one! Dries my hair in half the time, it’s smoother, silky and I do find I don’t even need to really straighten it too much after.

Best hairdryer I’ve ever owned!
The hair during is light to handle and drys my frizzy hair super smooth and very quickly. I’m saying that my hair is in the thinner side.
The sound to me is standard for a hairdryer so I would say it’s quiet though. It’s super powerful without blowing my hair around like a cyclone.
So I absolutely love my hair dryer and because of the cost I’m hoping it lasts a lifetime. I’ve had it for a year now without any issues. Also bought the stand to help store it under the sink and it works a treat. I thought the stand was expensive but I think it’s worth it for easy storage.

Curly hair? You need this dryer ➰your curls will thank you ➰
The Dyson dryer is an excellent machine for all hair types, however if you wear your curls naturally this dryer is the bomb.
Curly hair generally will turn into a frizz ball when dried with a conventional dryer. The Dyson is magical as the diffuser evenly distributes the warm air and doesn’t cause the hair to fly around. This means that your curls will ‘set’ without the frizz.
I’ve owned mine for two years without a glitch. Sure it is expensive, but my hair drying time has been halved and is more effective. All those saved hours each month add up, so it’s a real investment both for your valuable time and your curls.
It’s easy to use, fast and ergonomic. I highly recommend this little machine.

Great hairdryer but doesn't last!
Hubby got this for me when it was relatively new in the market back in 2016 as a Xmas gift. He paid $650 no case or gift just the hairdryer and attachments. 4yrs and 7mths later it's caput. Started with the motor making a high pitch whizzing sound whilst in use and then just died. I pulled it out from power point direct on wall and plugged back in. Nothing. The lights lit up but not working. Left it a day and tried again and it was dead. Called Dyson and was sent a return postage to send back the hairdryer for fixing. The cost to fix is from $8...5 to $399 I was told by the rep. They have a current offer of 20% off new one RRP $549 so roughly $439 but was told only till end of July 2021. I like that it's free shipping for repairs and it works well when it works. But, super disappointed that it doesn't last long for the price you pay even with keeping it well like cleaning filters often and keeping it in vanity cupboard. I've had appliances same price last over 10yrs. Even my old trusted hair dryer I use for travel is still alive and it was $60. My old hair straightener good old Cloud 9 was purchased for $300+ is still going 12yrs later. So for this product, for its price point I was/would expect more. A limited 20% discount for a new one is not that appealing too. Maybe time to shop around for a new brand hairdryer. Dyson better start making quality hair products else they'll just lose customers. Update 30.07.21 I received a brand new Dyson Supersonic hairdryer which I was not expecting! I also was not charged any fees. Because of this I bumped them from original 3 star to 4. That's pretty good customer service.

Not the best!
Didn't work like i thought it would! The air the comes out is not as strong as you would expect. It also overheated and stopped working the 3rd day of use. Has not happened since
Really impressive hairdryer
I was given this hairdryer as a gift at Christmas, and whilst i originally felt like it was all marketing spin, the Dyson hairdryer has converted me. Apart from it's beautiful design, it has a lot of flexibility in settings and i've found its far more gentle on my hair compared to my traditional style hairdryer. Im a convert!

After trying different settings and persevering i eventually returned the Dyson hairdryer as it made my hair temporarily feel
Like straw when drying it . I have gone back to
My cloud nine hairdryer and my hair feels
Fine . Very disappointed
Great until it breaks
I’ve had this hairdryer for about 2 years. It was great until it broke one month out of warranty. Serious concerns about its durability, given the cost of the unit. It is also going to cost $150 to repair the cord. It has been being “repaired” for over two weeks. Loan units are not offered and no communication from Dyson. Essentially a great hair dryer until it breaks.

Can I plug my Dyson blow dryer into it extension cord?
Dyson recommend plugging your machine directly into a wall outlet and can't make any recommendations around using extension cords, double adapters or powerboards.

Hi, the dyson hair dryer I got for my wife has a delay when she on the dryer. All function works fine. The delay is about 1 to 2 sec. And doesn't happen all the time. Is that normal?
