RUBBISH! Unit lasted 2years. Poor quality. Look elsewhere & for another brand. Not the premium brand I thought it was – The monitor only lasted 2 years. Don’t waste your money. Show details

Very poor quality – Very poor quality. Battery stopped working within 12 months. How is this sustainable for parents with more than one child? The temperature gauge has never worked which is highly important for newborns/babies. After contacting Vtech we were told just to buy a new one. Terrible company and idea. Wouldn’t recommend any of their products. Show details

Pretty crap for price – Battery life is non-existant - from fully charged to dead in approx 30 mins straight out of the box. Blindingly bright screen - as if parents of newborns don't get enough sleep. Take one look at the blinding screen during the night (when do they think people are looking at this!? why isn't there a dimmer or night-mode) and instantly have burned retinas and be guaranteed awake for the next 30 mins. Show details

Buy the cheaper model – We have the cheaper model Vtech bm2700 camera and it is fantastic. Bought a second camera the bm3300. Parent unit has poor battery life and constantly disconnects. Does not have the same range as the Bm2700.  Show details

Vtech BM3300 – The VTtech BM3300 was really good. The volume, responsiveness and motion sensor were great. The temperature was accurate and the camera captured the whole cot from about 1m away. It came with brackets and was really simple to install. The parent unit is not great over distances. We couldn't get it to pick up when we were upstairs, but we made it… Read more

work. Over time and before the warranty ran out this monitor refused to switch on. It thankfully had a longer warranty and the support team were more than willing to assist and swiftly arrange a replacement.

Rubbish! – Bought this monitor for my second baby. We previously had a Oricom which I loved but had to replace. The Vtech BM3300 has a very poor battery life and constantly has to be plugged in otherwise it beeps (my husband and I became very annoyed with the constant beeping). The charger to the parent unit broke after a couple of months and a big minus for… Read more

me is that it doesn't have the pan tilt function and the camera kept falling down so I had to walk into bubs room to adjust the camera. Bub also disappeared out of view when she changed position thus I had to go back in to adjust the camera again. Would honestly not waste my money on this monitor.

Biggest waste of money worst product we have purchased – The whole system is faulty. The parent unit must be plugged in at all times as it beeps and turns off. The camera freezes, it will pick up sounds and echo into the baby’s room, the talk button jams on again waking the baby. The parent unit is so bright we have to have it facing the wall or covered at night. VTech take no responsibility for their… Read more

products and will not honor warranty. This product has been faulty since the day we opened it. Will never recommend or use any VTech product.

Waste of money – Bought this unit from Big W 3 months ago. Has some pros - good cord length, easy to setup, picture quality, price, camera lens repositioning great. The battery life is appalling on the parent unit has been since I purchased - I could live with it though I just recharged after each nap. Now however it is completely dead will not charge at all. Will not even turn on if plugged into power. Useless. Would not recommend.  Show details

Poor battery life – * Battery life terrible. * turns itself off. * no sensitivity so speaker is on all the time. Not sure why they made the 3300 so cheap. The model before was excellent. Looks like a brand change. Show details

Overall, it does what is required at a reasonable price – Like most other baby video monitors out there, this one has pretty much most of the functions you will need (portable parent unit, visual volume indicator, talk back, night vision, wall mount bracket, etc). The price point is better than most other ones currently out there. An additional feature that it has over the older model is the ability to… Read more

play music and white noise (a choice of 9 to choose from) remotely from the parent unit. The screen size is ok. You don't need to see every little detail. You just need to know the baby is up and moving. The wireless connection distance between the baby and parent unit is very good. Mine is set up on the opposite corners of the house and is still getting 4 bars of signal.

Personally, I think the night vision can be improved a bit more (clear visibility up to about 2m), the volume of the baby unit can be louder (especially when you are told in the instruction not to put the baby unit too close to the baby), and the parent unit screen should light up automatically (mine is set to turn off after 5 minutes to save battery) when it detect large motion or loud crying.

Couldn't fault it - best value for price – Having done a lot of research on baby monitors, and not wanting to spend much on one, I am pleased with my decision to settle with the Vtech BM3300. Couldn't fault it. Clear images, good night-vision, talkback, volume options, great battery life. Is portable and has a long cord (both parent and camera units). I was worried the screen would be too… Read more

small (it seemed so compared to other models) but this size is perfect, wouldn't need any bigger. Best thing is we can add extra cameras (using same parent unit) if needed for more children.

Easy to Use- Good Range – This was a such a simple install...you can wall mount it to look down at your baby or put in on the dresser. It has a great range (15+ Plus), the screen can be turned off, it can play music or you can talk via an intercom system and it has a temperature probe and alarm. You can also add different cameras to the system if you have more than one room. Highly Recommend...best value for money! Mine cost $149!
