VTech CLS20050EB DECT Cordless Handset

The Mother of all Instruction Manuals – We were looking for the most basic of Cordless phones for our Home. Nothing fancy, no exotic features and when we saw this phone at $20 it looked like it would be perfect! It even says on the box… “Perfect for simple communication. Easy to use handset.” A more misleading description would be hard to imagine! This phone has 20 letter size pages of instructions and settings! Yes 20! One in fact for each dollar of the cost! So far we have managed to connect the two phones we bought to their Base Station. We have been unable to set the Time or Date. We have been unable to adjust the volume. The one call we have received, we were unable to get to because the Phone Screen asked “SCREENING?” So far we have been unable to locate screening in the 20 pages! Would we recommend this product? No, but if you buy one and get it working perhaps you can ring me? Oh… wait…you haven’t been “Screened”!
