WORST NZ SERVICE EVER – My VTech camera went off. I called tech support in NZ last week, and have called them 3x since last week. Was told that their warehouse will contact. So far no contacts and no replacement cameras provided, or even status update. I have informed the customer support regarding the urgent need for the camera as well. Pathetic camera, and Pathetic customer service from NZ tech support. It has been 2 weeks, and my baby monitor not working.

Very happy with the product – - The camera quality is really good and you can hear baby well. - The camera does need a permanent power supply so you'll need a power point close to where you place the camera. - The screen is nice and large. - You can download the app on your phone as well to view remotely, you cant however use more then one account to add the camera. enough to get around, my partner and I are just logged into the same account on our phones. - The battery life on the screen wont last all night even with the LCD off so will need to keep on charge over night if you want to be able to view baby without using the app on your phone. - the white noise and other sounds on the camera dont go very loud and they cycle quite fast which means there is an abrupt pause to the sound every couple of minutes. I wouldn't recommend using this as a white noise machine as well as a camera. - Having white noise on a seperate device in the room doesn't affect the noise notifications and works fine. - It shows room temp and can notify you if it is too hot or too cold. - you can speak to baby through the cam and it is quite clear and not staticy. - I haven't owned any other baby camera but have an arlo home security, I would say quality is up there with arlo. Overall I am happy with the device. I haven't yet had to deal with customer service so hopefully they are good if or when I need to. - please note I put value for money because I got mine on sale for 50% off.

Poor customer service and support – My monitor has a fault after 4 weeks - the power button won’t work and the monitor turns itself on anytime during the day and night when plugged into the power. The camera also drops out even if the monitor is next to it. I have called and called > 60 minute wait and emailed Vtech support however after 8 business days still no support or response.… Read more

I previously owned a Uniden Baby monitor and had contact with Uniden straight away with any problems and they were helpfully and timely. I would not recommend a Vtech produce simply due to there non-existent customer service.

Wifi password needs to be very short – Baby monitor system itself is great. Clear picture and decent iPhone app. To use Wifi you must connect the device to your Wifi network and manually enter the password. When you type in the password the product has a limitation on the number of characters, so if your Wifi has a long password, you may end up having to change your Wifi password to a short one and then update all devices that use the Wifi. It was painful.
