My first one lasted till the first rain and burnt out, on investigation full of water. The supplier sent me a new one and I found that the new one had Oring seals around the antennas which the first one didn't. Also the second one didn't have a… Read more

split seal to install the cat 6 so I had to cut one. I also covered the second one with silicon. Whilst the unit worked well for the first 2 weeks. This company obviously has quality control issues so buyer beware

Follow-up  · 2nd one has been through a couple of storms and is still working. However I did seal all the antenna s with silicon

Works then loses signal then works and loses signal. Now shows network is secure but says no internet connection. Look elsewhere for something reliable.

It should be illegal to sell something that simply doesn't work – Like nearly every other review, this product is a piece of sh*t! I couldn't tell you about how it performs because it doesn't connect in the first place. It has two options for connection, neither worked after repeated efforts and hours wasted. I will be returning for a full refund! Show details

Total frustration. A WOFTAM – I bought the HD4 AC1200 in the hope of improving outdoor coverage, both for working outside and for security purposes. After two days of trying myself I got onto Wavlink and spent 45 minutes on the phone to their IT department who even tried to set it up via remote. He had no success and suggested I employ a local specialist to try to install. $120 wasted on this device. Now it’s destined to become e waste. Show details

Flaky, random, hair-tearing insanity – Ours is the outdoor version. It's great when it works, which happens by miracle after the setup nightmare is mysteriously appeased, not to be repeated over the next twelve attempts. It fails after every one of the frequent power interruptions at our property. Rebooting it might work, probably not. So you waste yet another hour or two trying to fix… Read more

whatever it is in the settings that it's not happy with. Sometimes it loads its configuration page in your browser, sometimes not. 'There must be a rationale to this' you think, but there isn't. You make sure to use the evil thing's own wifi network, not the main one for the house. Still, it doesn't work, unless it does, which it could. There's always that chance. You feel like a gambler, wasting your life chasing that dopamine hit of 'fixing it'. The feeling never lasts. Applying changes takes forever. Pity help you if you're running it, like ours, as a wifi repeater, with no ethernet cable between it and your modem. You flip between networks and IP addresses until you give up.

I spent an afternoon installing this thing beautifully on the corner of our deck, with full lightning protection. Now, it must be a full day of my life down the drain with its suicidal configuration vibe. I used to think I was good at solving stuff.

So far so good, weird setup quirk – Have just had this in operation for a day, so far so good, but thought it might be helpful to note that I could not get it to work when there was a space in my wifi network password. Once I removed the space (which also involved having to reset all the other devices in my house) it worked fine. Good luck! Show details

Unreliable device – I bought it from Aliexpress for my wifi camera and lights. The Setup was so easy by just pressing of the WPS button on the main router modem then the main button on the extender. But this device is just a piece of rubbish. It keeps reseting and going on faulty mode. Never buy it! Show details

Think again – Three of us tried to set up the repeater . No luck after two hours . When plugged in the device ran extremely hot raising security concerns . Retailer giving a refund without debate . Better avoided in my opinion .

Defective and faulty - Never buy it – WAVLINK Wifi Booster, Wifi Range Extender Dual Band 5GHz + 2.4GHz 1200Mbps,Wi-Fi Item price £56.00 Quantity 1 Item number 124193675555 Delivery service Parcelforce 48 I bought it through ebay as I have been a member for ages now. The order number is 05-05190-40783 The item has not been working properly from last one month. I wrote to bestdeals… Read more

uk limited who is the reseller on ebay and he does not respond. Ebay has made it so difficult to complaint. I wrote to Wavlink and they say if you had bought from us , we would have refunded/replaced it. It is all a well thought of strategy to cheat customers like me by selling and dumping defective products in UK and then not supporting any refund/replacement. It is after all a £ 56 product and one expects it to last atleast 1 year. Getting defective in 3 months is not on. Who is responsible for a defective item? Should customer bear the burden? ebay and teh seller should not even respond? I will soon write to the regulatory bodies, on social media too to educate people not to get into the trap I have got into.

Nightmare abomination! – Wasted three days trying to set this abomination up, had several arguments with my partner trying a myriad of combinations from pressing the router wps link first to the wavlink then the other way around. Running up and down stairs to the router so much I think I did a week's worth of workouts. Also tried logging into the wavlink with a browser… Read more

and connecting the router to the wavlink, and also tried resetting it several times. Did nothing to boost performance and connecting was dubious. Biggest waste of time on any product we've bought . I horrible experience! Was even late for jobs in the process of trying to get it to work. When it did connect it lasted about 1 minute, tried several locations around the house including a meter away from the main router. When connected doesnt boost anything. Used an internet speed tester on my ipad and walked around the house with the wavlink on and with the wavlink off and there was no difference in speed or range! Complete heap of crap! After extensive testing we are so relieved to finally ruled out everything and to put this joke product back in its box and take it back. If I didn't have to use the money to buy another product it would have given us great pleasure to set it on fire and watch it burn! The only thing good about this repeater is the packaging. It promises something excellent, so the graphic designer did a brilliant job of deception. Giving one star for the look of the graphics otherwise I would give a zero or minus 5 if I could on the product performance.

Wavlink AC1200 wifi range extender Good Product – I purchased this product AC1200 Dual Range from Jaycar in East Brighton, Victoria about 2 weeks ago. The Jaycar sales people were very professional and Helpful. I have now installed it and at this time I am very happy with the performance. It has almost doubled the 5G wifi range. With the set up, first option to press WPS buttons on the Router and the Extender didn't work. The manual option worked and the instructions were easy to follow. Show details
