Aussie version missing crucial internal lid liner – Bought mine based on reviews of overseas model but the Aussie version comes without the aluminium lid liner. Other Weber electric BBQs have this reflective liner inside the lid, and so do the cheaper Ninja electric BBQs. Without the liner a lot of heat is lost through the lid, wasting electricity. Lid will also become hotter and would be more difficult to clean because there are plenty of nuts and bolts for grease to get trapped around. The smooth liner would be a lot easier to keep clean.

Very disappointing to see Weber sending an inferior version of their Lumin to Australia compared to other markets.

Photos attached of the Aussie version I bought vs the overseas model. Local Weber website misleading by not making a photo of the Lumin with an open lid prominent.

I do not recommend

We appreciate your concern on the lid liner of the Weber Lumin. Some overseas Lumin models run on a different power supply (110-120V) and require a lid liner to help get to heat and maintain it. Whereas in Australia and New Zealand our power supply (240V) has enough power to maintain heat efficiently, and the use of the lid liner with our power supply would cause the barbecue to get too hot.

We apologise if this was not clear when making your purchase and will share this feedback with the team to review. The Australian and New Zealand models of the Weber Lumin operate as all other global models do and will provide you with delicious barbecue results.

Job done. Questionable Quality – It does the job. But for how long? Quality is not something you'd expect from weber. Even Made in China goods are better nowadays. Worse is the stand. Unbelievably cheap wobbly crap. Photos show how it looks not the quality.

Purchased in at The Good Guys for $541.
