Werthiem Floor Cleaner – I just want to know, if I can use any sort of Floor cleaner in the cleaner tank with water, to use.. Im just not sure, and Im wondering if it would damage the machine.. The dirty water goes in the other tank. But not sure to use a supermarket cleaner.. Thank you Show details
Rubbish Mop – Leaves lot of water on tiles and once the tiles are dryed it leaves the stains. Need to left steam on all the time to move the mop. I want recommend to anyone. Got refund back from Godfreys $149. Bought a spray mop which is far better an efficient will only cost $50. Show details
works well – I purchased mine back in 2016 from Godfreys, It has proven to be a great little steamer. I only have a small unit so for me its sufficient. One of the things I love the most it does not leave streaks or smears. The heat is sufficient to do a thorough clean. I would buy one again, no problems with replacement mop heads. I have tiles, and vinyl flooring. Show details
Not very good – Bought one from Godfrey's. W500 model. Worked twice, took it back, Wertheim replaced it - at the time I noticed another one in store waiting to be returned. Second one lasted a bit longer - four times and will not work. It is light and easy to manoeuvre and I like the triangular easy-to-navigate head. Think I will chuck it out and put it down to a bad experience. Had a Hahn before that which was very good, but too heavy and hefty for me. Show details
Wertheim W500 steam mop – Purchased at Godfreys in November 2015. Used it twice, when tried again in 2016 it was found to have no steam coming out. Took back for a refund under warranty I was told they will send it away for repair and no refund. This so called "Steam Cleaner " is the most useless thing I have ever purchased. Definitely the last time I will shop at Godfreys.
Excellent! Over 4 years old and still fantastic – I bought my mop over 4 years ago, it heats really quickly, has a large water tank and a reasonably long power cord. It is simple to use and the mop heads are easy to wash and change. It does a really good job without leaving streaks. Has a turbo button to blast those tricky stains. Would buy again and definitely would buy again. I use it at least once a week one a standard home with tiles.
DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT – Bought Wertheim SM1000 only with the recommendation of Godfreys sales person. I highly doubt they are knowledgeable on the products they sell. End of the day you should leave it to customers choice, b'coz the Godfreys sales guy pushed me to buy I had to pay the price. Anyone reading this thinks Godfreys are experts in advising about steam mop, you… Read more
are 100% wrong.
Purchased and it worked hardly 2 times & was broken. Took it to Godfreys they exchanged it as it was within warranty. The new one lasted for one time & again not functioning. Took it to the store & I was told they will not exchange it second time. Was very helpless.
Microfibre Pads are new & never used. Paid close to $200. Lost whole money.better to go to Harvey Norman or Good guys. You get an excellent customer service.
Viswanathan.
Very poor would expect it to last more than 3 times – It worked about 3 times, I just went to use it and no power light, Nothing I can do about it as I bought it while building my new house which took 17 months so I can't go back on them for warranty to fix it, Very disappointed :( anyway if you buy one just make sure you keep you receipt, as I have no idea where mine went due to moving houses. … Read more
Good luck I liked the 3 times I got to use it worked great Power light won't turn on, So it does not heat up
Does the job it was bought for – Bought for cleaning floor tiles in a church. Paid $150 from ebay. Does a good job of lifting surface dirt off the tiles and hard surfaces. Will not do ground in stains but that's not what it's designed for. What is good is the carpet attachment. After vacuuming the carpet you can run the Wertheim steamer across the it. It will lift off the… Read more
surface grime and freshen up the carpet. The Wertheim will not do a deep carpet clean - you need a proper steam cleaning system for that.
This steamer cleaner doesn't leave great gobs of water on the hard surfaces.
I also own a Karcher SC3000. The Karcher leaves the floor wet. However the Wertheim is only good for cleaning floors - it has no other attachments. The Karcher has many attachments for cleaning other items around the home.
The reservation I have with this is that it's pretty flimsy. The unit is not that stable and falls over easily. You need to prop it up against a wall. The parts look easily breakable - particularly the handle and the area where the bottom attaches. Easy to use. Works for the job I intend it for It's flimsy. I can imagine dropping it in the near disatnt future and that will be the end of it.
Great Steam Mop – Had one of these for two years until a little piece broke, bought the Choice reviewed #1 Shark, and it's terrible. The Wertheim cleans well and always left the floors clean and without streaks. Would recommend it. Heats up really quickly and you don't have to wait until it cools down to refill. Great clean foors without streaks, heats up fast,… Read more · 1
fills up fast don't have to wait until it cools down. The part where it joins to the mop head is the weak link and has a reputation of breaking.
Ended up throwing it in the Bin! – Takes ages to warm up. Very unstable, falls over continuously. Doesn't get into corners, Switches its self off, so you can be half way through and is not hot & not cleaning. Cord is a pain gets in the way. The booster switch never works! Etc etc etc Dont waist your money on this product! Ended up throwing it in the Bin!
Just bought one second hand and find it great it stands up on its own steams quick cleans great… Read more
Not that good! Now looking for a replacement steam mop – My experience with this product is dissapointing as I've had the Wertheim vacuum brand for years. My steamer keeps turning itself off and I have to put boiling water in the chamber to start with. I think it could be faulty and will be taking it back for a refund shortly. steaming the floors was quick and did a great job when it worked! kept turning itself off
No Parts Available – It works great except for the water tank cap broke and no parts are available 'Godfreys' tell me there will be no more Wertheim mops, they are no longer being made therefore no parts! They offered me a replacement steam mop 'Hoover', I'm still thinking about it, while steam mops are good they do move the dirt into the grout on tiled floors, they… Read more
only way to clean the grout is on the hands and knees,
I discovered it was made in China? here's me thinking Germany. Easy to use cleaned floors so well No parts are available as no longer being made, had 2 year warranty but broke down in 1st year
If you pay for delivery you can have mine!

Does a great job - breaks easily – This is a very good steam mop for the very reasons that some complain about - it does not push out huge amounts of steam which leads to a wet floor and water marks and streaks. Instead it releases a controlled amount which dries almost immediately and especially if you use rain or distilled water, leaves no marks. Those that complain about picking… Read more
up dirt etc - they are not designed for that - vacuum first then use the steam mop for the stuck on dirt and marks.
Unfortunately the first one stopped working after about 2 months and we had to wait several weeks for Godfreys to send it away (it was replaced with a new one). Now, a week before its first birthday, the head came of because a very frail and obviously inadequate plastic clip has broken. Does a great job as a steam mop, does not produce excess amounts of steam (water) and leave streaks It is obviously not well made and the design of the plastic clip that holds the head on is prone to breaking as other reviewers have indicated
Ideal amount of steam but unstable and breaks – I found the amount of steam ideal - floor is wet though not pools of water which I found with the Bissell. The cleaner however isn't stable in the upright position and easily falls over which broke a flimsy plastic clip which anchors the head to the handle - rendering it unusable. Doesn't saturate floor and will dry quickly. Unstable - breaking easily.
Good – Cleans tiles beautifully washes floor evenly and there is no pools of water left behind. Has a pulse button for stuborn stains which pushes out extra steam for easy cleaning. Light to carry, easy to refill with water. Intructions not very good not sure on how to use assessories for carpet.
Terrible – Not worth the $200 that my partner paid (upon recommendation from the Godfrey's salesperson). My current cheap one that i won on a raffle (similar to Danoz direct triangular one) seems to do a better job. Do your research before purchasing a steam mop! Feels study even though made of plastic. Has long, adjustable handle which is good for tall… Read more
people. Long power cable. Does not drop too much water on the floor so it is OK for carpets. Has a 10 day money back guarantee, so you can return it if you are not happy. Mine is being returned immediately. Does not produce enough steam, even on the turbo setting. Head is large, rectangular and does not swivel so you cannot get into corners. Just pushes dust around (even after house was thoroughly vacuumed) and then you have to manually wipe it up from all the corners where it remains. The manual was not clear and did not properly explain how to treat different surfaces. Has strange clips on head unit which don't seem to clip into anything.
My useless Wertheum SM1000 was also recommendation from a Godfrey's salesperson.
Its powerful and does not leave streaks – I had a kenwood and a bissell before they are all too wet! Bought the Wertheim two weeks ago for $180 and its better then the previous steam mops i owned. I have porcelain tiles and the Wertheim is the only steam mop that doesent leave streaks and water marks on my shiny floors. Extendable handle and i can do the whole house on one fill - it runs for 20 - 30 minutes the cloths are a bit hard to put on
I really like it! – This is the first steam mop I have owned and I am really happy with it. It doesn't leave my floor wet. By the time I had packed it away into the cupboard my floors were dry. The shot of steam was good for lifting sticky spots off the tiles and laminate floor. I see people saying it doesn't clean the grout, I was told by the salesperson it was not… Read more
intended to clean grout, so I didn't expect it to.
I thought the amount of steam was good, like I said before, it didn't leave the floor very wet, but still did a good job of cleaning it. Only took a minute for the first bit of steam to come out once it was turned on. The pads are quite absorbent. They didn't move (as they are stuck in place with velcro and clipped in).
Much easier than pulling out the old mop and bucket! Doesn't leave floors overly wet, very easy to use. Good sized water tank, didn't need refill during cleaning. Pads are sturdy and don't move. doesn't get into corners very well.
reallt good – Easy to use and much better than others on the market. I did alot of reasearch before I decided which steam mop I wanted. Others i tried were useless, but this seems reliable and efficient for a quick and easy job. doesnt leave water all over the floor; turbo button for extra steam; great thick pads that can be washed in the machine and last for… Read more
ages. doesnt get into corners too well; can take a minute or so for the steam to build up through the pads to clean floors
Terrible – This machine has a lot of positive reviews but it is absolutely useless to me. The critical reason is there is only a trickle of steam that emerges from the nozzles, even when turbo button pressed. My steam iron with cloth on base would do just as good a job. My big mistake was to rely on the advice of the sales person at a store that… Read more
specialises in vacuum cleaners and steam mops. They would not take a return or exchange for another brand/model. So now I'm stuck with a white elephant
Do yourself a favour and try before you buy. Easy removable water tank. Long cord. Lack of steam.
Terrible – If had the choice, would definetly not buy this mop again. Should have tried it first before buying. After only 3 months mop broke and was not allowed a refund or replacement, hence, 4 weeks later still waiting for it return and still cleaning floors by hand. Lightweight and easy to use. Not enough power/steam. Does not clean the grout and any dirt not picked up by the vacuum is just spread around.

how can they call this a steam mop – Excited about giving this to my wife for mother's day. It all looks good until you start using it. Hardly any steam comes out and you have to wait a while for the steam. The turbo button works for 1 sec (a quick squirt) and just shoots out water after that. The only one thing I like about it is the fact that if you release the handle it turns the… Read more
steam off. Looks good, turns off if you release the handle takes a while for the steam to start, once steam starts coming out, there is little steam, turbo button works for a sec and than starts shooting out water NOT steam overall how can they call this a steam mop hardly any steam at all returning it for a refund.
you gave your wife a steam mop for mothers day ????
Good – Very good purchase, lightweight and easy to use. Godfrey salesman very helpful. Will be going back to check on information not included in the booklet. Easy to use, very effective cleaning and quick to dry. Goes over all the different surfaces in my home so makes the total clean a quicker process. Booklet not complete with its instructions. Can not work out how to use it for upholstery.
OK – Recommended by salesperson. Previously had a Bissell which was okay, but for the price just like the Wertheim I expected more from both these appliances than if I had bought a cheapie. Long cord. Easy on wrists compared to Bissell which I found heavy. Doesn't give off enough steam. When holding down turbo steam button, it is easy to accidently move the on/off button to off
Excellent – So glad i did my reasearch and didn't buy Danoz H20, Wertheim are trusted brand for me and Godfrey's is a trusted retailer. 100% happy. It's all good - light weight, water tank size, turbo boost button and cleans really well, and no sticking floor from cleaner/chemical residue. The adjustable handle goes click-click-click when you are pulling the machine back and forth - but I just turn the music up.
Good – Very happy with my purchase. It's easy to use and store and does a good job. The salesman at Godfreys was very helpful as well. Easy to use and dries quickly. I like the turbo spray and sensor handle. The water tank is easy to remove and refill and the adjustable extension tube makes it easy to store. It also comes with 2 cleaning pads plus… Read more
extra component for using on carpets plus a mat to rest it on while when not in use or cooling down. Nice long power cord as well. Made in China, but then most electronic goods are now.
