1 SAY  · Refuse to pay out until ACA ran a story on them. Disgusting.
1 Alex  · My dealings with WFI insurance - Dishonest and unprofessional. They will find any excuse to reject your claim.
1 Name display  · I have three hands so I can give three thumbs down! – Claims department supervisor got scared; may have lost comfort rug or dummy.
1 susan w.  · Stay Away – They take your money then do not pay - beware farmers.
1 Pjb  · Dumped – Been a customer for 7 years with no claims on a caravan policy. Then get a registered letter declining renewal. Thanks for your loyalty.
5 Jaclyn C.  · Professional – We have our farm and machinery insured with them and have been very helpful with stolen goods claims and damage repairs. 10/10

I never write negative reviews however in this case I’ll happily make an exception. Would give them 0 stars if I could. Have been with them for 15 years and have only just made our first claim for something minor, which they declined for an absurd reason. Completely defeats the purpose of paying for insurance. Do not waste your time or money. Show details

worst insurance company ever – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY Our car was hit by a not at fault accident. Unluckily for us their insurance company was WFI. The most unprofessional and uncaring company I have ever had to deal with. Staff were really unprofessional. They use an overseas call centre. All you could hear was chickens in the background. People yelling out love you see you… Read more

later. After many calls to this insurer, we finally got an answer and when our car was to be fixed. Claiming that the person hadn't paid there excess. Promises of a hire car had to be followed up twice before we could get it and husband having to walk 6kms to pick it up. If that's how you treat not at fault customer, I would hate to see how you treat your own customers.

A Pocket-Money Claim – On 11 September 2024, a utility vehicle crashed into my car and damaged the bonnet. Quotes were issued and forwarded to the owner of the vehicle, he then reported the accident to the WFI. A claim number (WFI2460xxxxx) was issued on the 16 of September 2024. As both parties agreed on cash settlement, the form BANK ACCOUNT DETAILS COLLECTION was… Read more

attached to an email from WFI to me. This form was completed and sent back the same day on 30 September 2024. Since then, no email to request an update had been answered until I called for an update. Explanation was that the policy holder was overseas and he hadn't paid the customer's excess payment. On 17 October, 9 days after the insured returned from overseas, WFI sent this proper English: "Please be advised we called our insured today to discuss what is required for the claim to progress. Insured advised he will attend to the obligations tomorrow. We will let you ?once this is completed." Then again no update until I called on 24 October to ask for an update. The operator said they would be waiting for a photo of the damage. Nobody ever asked for that. Instantly, I sent images of the required damage and the operator advised that they will be forwarded to Western Australia to be assessed and then WFI will confirm my bank details again and process the payment urgently. Today a week after, without any update, I called again to receive the same message. WFI is assessing the damage and will hopefully get back to me with an update. Then today, 1st November, they asked the quoting repairer to take photos. It is hard to believe, that an insurer (with a very negative review) can let people wait 50+ days to update them when they will pay for the damage. I have provided my bank details four times to avoid that they went missing. Today I complained via AFCA and soon WFI sent an email that the complaint was received. So, still waiting...

W.f.i, WORST insurer in Australia by far – I have major flood damage to my home and the experience with w.f.i has been far worse than the actual flood. The claim was put in 10 months ago and doesnt look like being sorted anytime soon. This company is only interested in holding on to the money and making huge profits whilst the victims lives are ruined and on hold, waiting for the… Read more

settlement to rebuild their home. I have been with w.f.i for over a decade and have never been a day late for a bill, nor had any claim. I will never invest in home insurance again after this experience. Steer well clear of these shonks.

WFI excellent insurance company – We lodged a claim for our rental property where the dishwasher had been leaking for a considerable amount of time leaving the area damaged. Received the money to repair it ourselves (at our request) very quickly with very little trouble and excellent service. Show details

I had a good experience with WFI – My kitchen was flooded during the 26th July storm. WFI inspection, report and proposed remedy was prompt and fair. Because of my age, and the disruption that would be caused by the repair process, I decided not to proceed. ‘Kez’ from WFI phoned and explained that under the terms of my policy I could always change my mind. She is a credit to WFI since I have rarely dealt with a more competent and helpful person. Bravo! Show details

Lame Duck Insurance Service – I was with this company for 18 years, finally saw the light during my recent invitation to renew. billing for my circumstance. I drove to the West Perth Office to speak with somebody to sort out my new options. Mr Invisible was not available and I could not leave a message for him/her to contact me. Something to do with Privacy nonsense... I was continuously referred to the 1300 phone number which I was up to my 5th call with and still gained very little help. I've came to the conclusion, that if it was going to be this difficult to make payment and re-establish my payment terms, then what chance would I have of ever making a successful claim in the future. I decided to walked away and I can say it was the best thing I've done. I got 2 other quotes and the RACWA was by far the best on price (lower than WFI) plus I got additional features in my 4 property cover, plus I have contents covered included in my personal home cover and my excess was reduced by $250 per site. Thanks WFI, you did me a great favour, keep up the bad work of treating your customers like crap and eventually you will have none. Probably what you are trying to achieve, since everybody is too busy to help customers with specific needs.

Pathetic Company and Horrible experience – These people are involved in worst possible tricks to reject your legit claim, when we claim our stolen or damaged vehicle, they just go ahead with fake investigation. Which is completely biased in their favour. Their investigator officer will pop out his eyes and threaten you. I would highly recommend for all new users to avoid insuring anything under them. It was a nightmare with them, horrible experience. Show details

WORST POSSIBLE EXPERIENCE do not use WFI FOR ANY TYPE OF INSURANCE – Had my car stolen .Have comprehenssive insurance with WFI for my insurance and i have been their customer for more than 10 years for all my insurances including cars, bussiness, homes content and building paying more then $14000 per year and no issues with payments in the last ten years. (but in the policy they say if car not found within 14 days they will approve the claim and my brand new car never found ) and then during investigation asked all my personel information including bank accounts, phone records of all the family and partner, any home loan accounts, personnel accounts, credit accounts, saving accounts details. Asked about exact timing of calls made on the day of incident compared with phone records and found few minutes diffrence and claim rejected. Instead of stolen claim investigation they going to investigate all your phone calls history including location ,all the personel information ,lot of interviews and the aggressively comparing all this with what you said and what is in the paper work and if small diffrence found claim rejected. As soon as you lodge a claim for simple theft they going to do everything to find any unrelated reason to reject a claim. Definelty going to chase up these thugs in the court untill my simple claim gets approved.

I found them completely useless and incredibly uncaring – WFI refused to wave the excess on a claim of spoiled food after unusually devastating storms that hit S.A. we were without power for 4.5days and had lost at least $450 worth of food, with a food shop only being delivered the evening before the storm hit. They wanted me to produce photos of the food, and an itemized and priced list for them and… Read more

then would still not wave the excess. I know of many others in my area who are with, better insurers, their overall premiums may be higher than mine was but they didn't have to provide anything and their insurers paid $500 with no questions asked, no itemized and priced list and with no excess. This company is terrible in comparison and i caution against them. I will now go through RAA, pay more but at least be with a company that has integrity.

Take your money, crappy service – So you pay your money for years, then you have a minor claim, problems start! salvage yard because the insurance company had deemed it a write off. Rang insurance company who claimed that they still didn’t know where car was. 2 hours on the phone and get a different dept. which was the total loss team, they said that they would notify claims that next week, finally claims get notified 10am soon later, I had to ring them as no one there know how to dial a phone and was told that it would be paid the following week, a week later nothing happened. Rang them again and was told that no one had authorised an offer even though it was agreed value and that some one will contact me maybe next week as it is too late in the week, it is Wednesday morning at 8.30am now. Don’t waste your money go to a better insurance company with phones that actually ring outwards.

WFI Employee claim rejected – I work for WFI insurance Claims department, and had WFI Home and Contents insurance. claim fully settled and I will receive money in my account with in 3 to 5 working days, received no response contacted WFI after 3 to 5 working days got advise that my claim has gone to Investigation, when I asked reason no reason was provided by consultants.

The WFI employed service providers (Perth Asset Care) who visited my home checked the water damages on the wall and TV and confirmed the contents damaged due to water.

I provided all the contact details and number of the relevant parties involved to the investigation department for their investigations but they never contacted any one.

WFI consultants never advise that they will require the damaged contents for further assessment due to which my wife threw them in the bin because they were of no use and we already got advised the full and final settlement of the claim. Later Investigation asking for those items.

I spoke to Dispute manager on first instance that he settle the claims because we already advise the final settlement to your account later advise me to go to AFCA.

I spoke to WFI Investigations Team Lead asked me to go to go through an interview with Factual investigator, I agreed but he didn't mention time. Later the case manager sent me a letter advising me and my wife and all the related parties to go through an interview with Factual investigator for 90 minutes. I advise that no one have time if you want every one including my self to go through an interview WFI would need to pay for their time off in week days. The Factual investigator was based in Eastern Australia time and we are based in Western Australia time.

Now my claim / Case / Complaint is with AFCA and I am getting threatened by WFI Investigations that my insurance will be cancelled. They are not responding to AFCA or resolving the complaint but sending me threat emails and letters. This is happening when I am employee of WFI.

We follow HEART principle in our organisation but what I have seen is just disheartened customer service without any empathy. It looks like there is no one to listen.

WFI good - IAG not so good – Were with WFI for years and received good service and the property claims after storms were handled well. husband (Policy co-signer). Set aside the fact that she was in intensive care and I was a co-signer to the policy, they didn't care. Two months of emails, phone calls, threats and intimidation finally secured the required payout. WFI Consultant finally came back from "business trips" and apologised but damage done. Will never go back to WFI and will not do business with any company listed under the IAG umbrella of businesses at www.iag.com.au at the bottom of the page. Treated loyal, long term customers like utter dirt.

I would never Insure with anyone but WFI – I just read some of the reviews and can't believe this is the same company I am insured with!!! I have had a farm insurance policy with WFI for over 12 years, over that period till 2016 I had a few small claims that were dealt with quickly and efficiently... In 2016 our historic farmhouse which was built in 1862 and we had spent 10 years… Read more

renovating, burnt to the ground. There was literally nothing left... I contacted WFI and was met with compassion, genuine caring for our safety and useful information on what to expect and where to go to from there.. Yes, it took a while for the fire inspection reports, engineers and Insurance claim to be approved, but not because they were deliberately delaying, more that they wanted to ensure everything was right. They paid the claim in full which was nearly $1,200,000 and even included a pro-rata amount for CPI that I was not aware of.. You think that was Ok?? 6 months later part of the Wool shed roof blew off in a wild windstorm, WFI paid over $20,000 for that to be repaired.... another couple of months later we had a massive hailstorm over most of the property, hail the size of cricket balls, it damaged 9 roofs in total, again WFI forked out over $210,000 for the repairs. Over the next couple of months our large centre pivot irrigator blew over.... twice... total bill to repair nearly $40,000 in total, again WFI came to the party. At all times during that horrific 12 months WFI stood by me when I needed them most, they were always helpful, timely with their payments and never complained about the number of claims being made as they could see they were all genuine. I have re-insured with WFI since then and am happy to say that the only cost increase on my policies is CPI.

Good Service. No Complaints – My Mum and Dad have been insured with Wesfarmers for years....and have previously never had issues with claims. plus numerous phone calls and emails to avoid paying out .They rejected the claim .

I had the repair done for $374 .

This is the second time that they have rejected a claim that has happened during a storm .

I will not be renewing with WFI
