Absolutely horrendous product LT6o85 6kg – - unbalances all the time - knots up clothes on 3 spins of the machine centre arm - Rips clothes by tieing them up around the centre washing arm. - doesn't get clothes clean. - spends more time beeping and talking, than washing the clothes. Poor poor quality and design. Show details

It worked, and then it didn't – It's a bit rubbish when the "company" won't even acknowledge its own products. I don't know who owns the brand name, but "Westinghouse" now won't support these washing machines. I think the parent company may be "Electrolux"? but they have no info available either. It seems to be the motor that has packed it it, and that should be covered by their ex tended warranty, but who knows. Might as well be buying the cheap "no name" garbage.

8 years old and still going strong – I have had this machine for over 8 years now. I have a family of four and lots of animals including an incontinent dog so it gets a fair workout each week. Love the large capacity for multiple sets of linen. It has useful features such as time delay and soak along with an 'end of wash' alarm if needed. Water saving, large capacity Lint! I have to clean this every wash and I still have trouble with lint from a previous towels wash on my darks.

5years and finally gave up – We have had this machine for just over five years and apart from replacing the lid twice it has been great. We have 4 young children and run a bakery so it has seen many many loads and just recently the machine has been playing up "suds lock" and now wobbles around like a bucking bronco!. good for big loads easy to use when it fails it fails was going to get it repaired but expensive to justify so will just update to a new machine  Show 4 replies

Bad – We live in a consumerism era. Nothing is spec to last beyond its "warranty" else the manufacturers won't stay in business. You pay for what you get. Easy to use (even as 50+yo male). Good functionality and we owned this appliance for two years now. Economical with water. Too much plastic. Out of the blue we have a leak on the electronic… Read more

sensor/valve/cold water inlet. Seems valve is not closing properly or stuck or something. I still have not received an answer as to what I should do to have it fixed/replaced.

Terrible – Inferior plastic quality outweighs machine performance... Anyone who buys this machine need their head examined ... Definitely not recommended to anyone seeking large capacity washer Large capacity, washes well Has had many maintenance calls...terrible inferior quality of plastics ...poor design of lid, lid hinges break easily, control functions… Read more

display facing detriorates over time, plastic mountings on top of machine to each corner breaks down rapidly and has been replaced 4 times .. Water is now leaking from bottom of machine and now bad vibration on out of balance... Advised minimum repair cost $900

Excellent – I really love this machine. I just throw the clothes in and it works everything out for itself. Very simple to use and virtually hassle free. As I also have the matching dryer and have been impressed by that too, I would recommend a Westinghouse to anyone. The machine is big and very easy to use. Washes clothes really well, loads of wash… Read more

settings..even a stain removing helper. I have had my washer over two years now, it's used daily and has never missed a beat. The beeper that tells you when the machine is finished washing only shuts up when the lid is opened which can get really annoying. The electronics get confused if the lid is frequently opened which cause the machine to make lots of weird alien sounds and not do anything... pausing and restarting fixes this immediately but if the pause button is pressed when opening the machine there is never a problem.

Good – Good and sturdy machine. It is only let down by the 'intelligence' that they have tried to put into it. Large machine which is good for families. Easy to clean and maintain (especially the lint) 1) The auto water level sensing is (software) faulty. I've had a techie from westinghouse replace the entire electronics module and still the same. manual says it can take up to 5 minutes to work out how much water to add. In my case, the washing machine did absolutely nothing for 8 minutes. So, I had to to hit 'Start/Pause' twice to pause and start it again.

2) Pay attention to how much detergent you put in. It is unforgiving, and will 'suds lock' and make a loud ugly grinding sound while stopping the spining.

3) Service centre (Telephone: 13 13 49) is sometimes difficult to deal with; their script is that all is rosy.
