Westinghouse WMS281

Has been great for grilling – This microwave has been working well for 4 years but heating up food is taking longer now.The only downside is the lamp failed mid this year. I cannot see inside anymore.To change this lamp requires a lot of effort that may even lead to the microwave no longer working.I have never seen this before in other brands so I would not recommended it to anyone.  Show details

Planned Obsolescence - I Think So !!!! – Ha d this Microwave for only 12 mths and then stopped heating one day! Only just out of warranty. I note that LOTS of people had same issue. guessed it - still not right but hey don't tell this is Discontinued ALSO!! Noted reviews on this oven also very negative. So stuck with a crap double oven and have to buy ANOTHER replacement microwave oven (same but updated model number) to fit above,. Note that the LED on microwave will now not really blend with oven LED????

I CATEGORICALLY WILL NEVER BUY WESTINGHOUSE - ANYTHING- EVER AGAIN AFTER THIS. I doubt the replacement microwave will last more than a year then I'm ousting oven as well....There is not such thing as Customer Service with these people!

Leaves it in the shop – The worst microwave I have ever used. I purchased it to match my cooktop and oven, the sales man told me it was not the best quality and I would be sorry, but I bought it anyway, wish I never did. I have taken it back to the store and got a Panasonic.

Terrible, This Product Is Flaw – My microwave stop working just slightly over 18 months under very low usage. The advise the service centre gave me was it is outside warranty period and they don't repair this product. Other words throw it away. It costed $489, so it costed $1 a day to heat up some food. There many others in the same situation, same problem with this product.

Reheats food but not reliable – The first one lasted about a month and stopped re-heating food so it was replaced. The second one lasted about 2 years then just stopped working. Called Westinghouse and they said they have no record of my warranty and I had to go back to the retailer I bought it from (which no longer exists). decided to buy a new one instead. Not really a good microwave as for $388 you expect it to last more than 2 years. Would not recommend this microwave and have bought a different brand.

Terrible product - would never buy this brand again! – We purchased this microwave and after 12 months it stopped working. faith in the quality of the product) they refused to give a partial refund. They seem oblivious to their obligations under the Australian Consumer Law. I would never buy this microwave nor any other product from them again.
