I have this model but in 9kg. I’m very disappointed in this machine and the customer support for this product. My machine is now 1.5yrs old and most of the time it will not complete the spin cycle and my clothes are sopping wet. I had a technician come out today who was very rude and said it was my fault for not balancing the load and putting… Read more
heavy things in there which I can assure you I’m not. If this machine cannot handle regular clothes and underwear in a load it is not fit for purpose. I think the best place for this machine is my curb. Off to research a new machine from a better brand! Stay away! You might be ok with one of these machine but if something goes wrong it’ll be your fault apparently!
Got a brand new machine defective straight away kept filling up with water ,wouldn't stop, couldn't do cycles because of this Show details
I don’t often get excited about doing the washing, but I recently discovered the “extra dirty” setting on this machine and it’s basically miraculous. I avoided it at first because it’s 3 hours long, but decided to try it out one day when I ran out of laundry soaker. Usually I soak white socks, the toddler’s filthy daycare clothes, and my son’s… Read more
skid marked undies (separately!). For the modest price of three hours, this machine does the job of an overnight soak. The stains disappear with ordinary detergent! And so far hasn’t ruined the clothes, though I do use mesh bags for less hardy items. For what is a pretty cheap machine, it’s pretty great.
Does the job pretty well, spins well, not too loud, clothes come out clean. Quick cycle is actually quick, and takes the advertised number of minutes, unlike another brand we tried. A few things could be improved - not all programs let you use cold water, and most cycle times can’t be shortened despite the claims in the manual. Show details
Utterly disappointed – Do not buy, it’s rubbish. I purchased this washing machine in January this year and will never buy another Westinghouse product. In the manual it states you can change the temperature and time from the one promised by the washing machine. You can change the 15 minute wash to cold water and the delicates, however the time for the delicates can only… Read more
be reduced to 56 minutes. You cannot change so many of the other programmed settings. Either way you’re wasting electricity by the machine heating up the water or by the time of the program. My previous washing machine I had for 19 years and it washed better than this one.

Upgrade after 20 years with old Westinghouse – I just went with another Westinghouse washing machine because my last one lasted so long and I’m so far not disappointed. I’ve had it for a couple of weeks only but it’s already impressive. I only use a cold wash and so far it’s all looking good. It’s much quieter than my old washing machine and it does have shorter washes but I can’t make them… Read more
cold so haven’t used them yet. It’s 8kg which is the perfect amount for my washing line and also means I’m doing one less wash per week. It only uses cold water and for the hot washes it heats up the water which is the same as my old one too. It has a bigger door so easier to load and apparently can easily fit a doona which seems appropriate. The settings seem easy to use and not complicated, I’m pretty happy so far. Hopefully I’ll get 20 years out of this one too!
Great capacity can fit my doona in Yay!!! – Front loader washing machine ww7524N3WA extremely happy with the amount I can fit in, much more than my previous one. Quiet and lets me know when it is finished by beeping I love it . have had Westinghouse washing machines for close to 30 years and would not use anything else. Also a big thank you to Belmont NSW BETTA for delivering and installing. Show details
Very good – It’s a great machine washes well especially diesel mechanics clothes on extra dirty wash. But I like to do fast loads when the clothes aren’t dirty or when I’m pushed for time and want full water level but not possible for mediums or full loads and you can only do low small loads on fast and you can’t use high spin so the clothes aren’t as dry of course when the fast load is finished. So far so good – Have only had this machine a short period now but seems to do the job it’s designed for. Unit is cosmetically pleasing with a rotary easy use dial for the different wash settings with an adjacent LED screen which shows time of wash plus the current status. The soap dispenser comes out easily for cleaning, as yet we haven’t removed the drain pump… Read more · 1
section. Very quiet compared to our dinosaur top loader, spin cycle seems reasonable as well. Can choose temperature of the different wash programs and if you want to advance the process. There’s also a feature where you can pause the wash and add more clothes during the cycle Installation took them 5 minutes, from start to finish, very happy with our purchase so far
Great upgrade – I am loving this new washing machine - I had the older version and the new one is a step up. Very classy looking also. Easy dial up settings, with short and long cycles. So far so good Show details
Very loud washing machine – Have had two 6kg models over the years decided to upgrade to 8 kg model . To be fair the machine does everything it is suppose to do.my problem is it is very loud and when machine is filling up the pump cuts in and out very abruptly which has caused water hammer behind taps Show details
Great machine Westinghouse 8kg – Great machine great price working brilliant i recommend it very very quiet running had to go check it was actually working its that quiet better than my old simson top load that I had for 17 years

Bad design, poor quality control and a litany of diabolical supply errors – I bought the Westinghouse 8kg F/Loader, Model WWF8024M5WA to replace my Electrolux Front Loader, Model EWF1074 washing machine. Big mistake. This washing machine had defective feet that were seized solid into the chassis housing on each corner. It was impossible to adjust the feet unless one raised the machine off the floor. Even then, the poorly… Read more
designed, flimsy, supplied spanner was useless so a full sized spanner had to be used. The rear left foot was so tight the foot broke from the shaft / spindle so the washing machine had to be returned and exchanged for another. This was a brand new machine that had not been connected. Second machine – same issues but this time Good Guys Joondalup refused to exchange, and organized a warranty callout with a pathetic wait time of 10 days. According to the technician, on newer Westinghouse washing machines, the adjustment height range was limited to around 15mm. I managed to achieve a sort-of okay level. I also noticed that the machine top is uneven as depending where a spirit level is placed, levels varied. But the problematic REAR LEFT foot had been adjusted out to maximum of ± 6mm - any further outward adjustment would see the foot breaking off the spindle - just like the first machine. The technician said it (washing machine) should be okay as installed and left. Over the next few weeks, problems continued as the machine kept crawling away from the installation point when in use. So I ordered a set of 4 new feet. I was appalled as what they had sent was the two front feet and somehow, what was supposed to be the back feet, was a set of stove or oven switches. (See photos) After many calls and photos, I finally received the correct feet for the back and found they had considerably less adjustment leeway – about 10mm. Without installing the new feet, I finally managed to get the washing machine level enough so that it remained static in a washing cycle. Because I have had to adjust to maximum, I anticipate future issues so kept the supplied feet as a backup. Also, these feet are flimsy, poor quality and under-specified for a washing machine this heavy. And most importantly, one has to virtually dismantle the entire machine in order to replace the feet. The next issue was the white plastic caps that are used to fill the holes from the transit bolts. Impossible to fit as either inner or outer caps are oversized. Even after machining the retaining lips of the inner caps with a Dremel tool, I still had to push them in with a block of wood – nothing like what is shown in the manual. The supplied owner’s manual is riddled with paradoxes and misleading. Installation cannot transpire based on the instructions as set out - period. Clearly there is a production-line issue. Electrolux are aware of the issues and are fobbing us off. For a large company like Electrolux, service and after sales service is diabolical. As far as the Westinghouse 8kg F/Loader, Model WWF8024M5WA goes, it’s a noisy machine that makes odd noises throughout the various cycles and temperamental to load placement. One has to pack this washing carefully or the drum will move excessively and at times, appears to be out of balance and or out of round. Overall, highly NOT recommended.
upgrading from an old Simpson – Our Simpson, circa 1999 still worked but was a bit rusty, very noisy & had limited wash options, so, 'er indoors, aka "SHE WHO MUST BE OBEYED" , decided it was time for an upgrade. She decided on this 8kg model which seems to have all the bells & whistles, except, that all up from Harvey Nicks (which was a fashion store in Bond Street) cost… Read more
circa $1000+ with delivery etc etc ! So far so good, I guess they all come from the same factory in China, badge engineering, but we are hopeful it will continue to perform. Very efficient re water & energy usage.
