settings, like Ive always been able to do with previous brand/s Ive had. If I want to use the Fast 20 (default is set to low water level and a max. of low spin only!) or Daily 45 setting (default is set to with a choice of low to mid water level and the same for spin cycle!) I SHOULD be able to add whatever amount of water or whatever spin speed I want! FINAL!! Just like I was able to do with previous machine. I cant understand the purpose of the 'jet' stream of water spraying down on the clothes. What for!? The left jet sprays off to the left a little hitting the top of the drum and sure there is a very small amount finding its way over and down the side. For years Ive been a fan of Westinghouse regarding their other appliances. Without fault. But this thing is inferior! Whats with the violent banging after a spin cycle? I purchased this machine after reading reviews on a well known electrical appliance retail site. Product review only now shows 9 reviews. How true these are. This machine when I purchased last week is 2 yo and condition is like new. Just wondering whether previous owner knew something and didnt pass on. Advertised initially for $450. No bites. Then dropped to $250 when I saw it. I did cross my mind why so cheap based on all the 'positive' reviews. My fault, based on reviews on that well known electrical appliance retail store site. Which I'll never trust again!
Had a 10 yo Fisher & Paykel 7.5kg which was still performing well except for, putting up with some decent bearing noise in spin cycle. I think now and what I was always personally going to do...is change the bearings and bring it back inside! Good ol trusty! Guess what? I was able to add any amount of water and choose any spin speed. On a short wash or long. Thanks F & P. See you in the future!

Not happy with this WWT8084J7WA. Multiple reasons why..... 1. When the water fills the machine, it comes down the back of the drum somehow. So the clothes don't get wet as it fills and they just float around on top of the water for a substantial time. 2. The 60 minute wash only washes the clothes moving them around with the detergent for 5… Read more
minutes then it drains. It takes 5 minutes for all the clothes to even get damp. I have to push them all under the water. So I can't use this cycle as nothing actually has time to wash. I use the 90 minute wash and it works but it's a lot longer than I want.
3. When the machine finishes the load it beeps. That's fine. But everytime you restart the machine for the next wash you have to turn the machine off as it says end from the previous wash. Then turn it back on again to actually wash. Ridiculous.
4. The clothes seem to be coming out knocked around, previously had a 20 year old Fisher Paykel and clothes were always well cared for. It had an agitator too but this machine which I've had for a month is wearing all my clothes out.
5. None of the settings are very adjustable. Once you start a load you can't change the water setting for example. No pause for an hour etc, and the water level is low, medium or full. It's not much range for an 8.5kg washing machine.
I'm sure I could write much more but to be honest I haven't used any other settings to comment on them but I'm guessing they are no good. I feel like who ever designed this machine never washed clothes.
A positive, the machine looks great. That's it.
I did call customer care. They said just turn the machine off for 45 minutes at the power for a factory reset. Did nothing.

means you need to waste more water, electricity and time re-washing all your clothes. I have followed all the troubleshooting tips and we still have the same problem. We use high efficiency detergent, we don't overload the machine, we use the 45 min to 60 min wash times and we clean the lint filter each time. And now the drum is making a banging noise during the wash cycle and only stops when on the spin/rinse cycle. Instead of buying this new machine I wish I had just repaired the computer board on my Samsung machine that I have had for over 10 years and never had a problem with.
Follow-up · We did end up booking a warranty service call with a local provider. He came and had a look at the machine, and I confirmed with him we were using the correct HPE detergent, we weren't overloading the machine, and were cleaning the lint filter after each wash. How do people think this is a good machine? temperature, the rinse settings and the spin cycle to not even be able to control it? You cant change certain things on 99% of the settings, especially with ur everyday settings, why cant I put it daily 45 wash and change the rinse cycles? Its insane its the worst washing ive ever had! I want my money back! i want to go back to Samsung atleast my clothes come out clean and i can control my washing cycles to how I want without having to put it on a two hour wash! Insane!! UPDATE:: I had one of there people come out to look at the washing machine at 8:30am, they called me 15 minutes before they arrived to say put it on a wash cycle, under their instructions I did, he arrives 30 minutes later and goes no wonder its not cleaning ur clothes your putting the washing on to early, im like I dont wash my cloths now you told me to put it on, to than be degraded because I was apprently being difficult because I didnt want a easy fix? Never been treated so poorly, to be bulled by someone coming into my own home is disgusting. I work nights im a shift workier im never up at that time and to be told thats why my machine isnt cleaning my clothes is insane and than goes to me ill tell them I had to replace the pump so I dont get a call out fee!

This washing machine is quite good until it gets to the spin cycle, then it seems to accelerate so fast that it pushes all the wash into imbalance and therefore it shuts down when it does a spin. to a "chat bot" to claim our warranty only to be told a "Third Party" would access our claim and if it saw fit it we would be charged a "call out fee" and any other fees to remedy the problem. "Really". What has happened to the Guarantee process that used to back reputable brands?

Substandard Build Quality – After a tad over 6 months of ownership the plastic within the Westinghouse WWT8084J7WA has begun to disintegrate. In the attached images after washing one jacket in a mesh bag and some clothes the machine has obliterated the mesh bag and the plastic under the detergent dispenser. shredded plastic will prove to be a safety issue.
Judging by the poor reviews on these Westinghouse Top Loaders there should be a recall as my previous Simpson Top Loader Never had these issues.
The retailer has contacted Westinghouse on my behalf and i have been told to wait one week for a follow up phone call.
Time will tell on how Westinghouse addresses this but until this point caveat emptor.

company suddenly had a cancellation.. Westinghouse offered me nothing as a solution. We are a family of 5 adults- all working & need a washing machine. Not happy with Machine or customer Service offered. DONT BUY THIS BRAND OR MODEL.

dispenser; and 3) Last annoying feature is the At The End Of The Program beeps. It needs to be louder and last much longer than 3 beeps. As an older citizen I sometimes forget the washing has finished as the beeps aren't loud nor long enough. My last machine keep beeping until I emptied it. At best it would be great if the user could change the beep settings.
