well I have had a whirlpool previously and it lasted 15 years. This model is a lemon . dreadful programs and is a chore to have to manually program the cycles that i want every time that I use it ..I don't see the point of most of the cycles having two rinse cycles. My wife refused to use it and I have been nursing it and doing all the washing for… Read more

four years . Yep, it has lasted four years . Now it won't pump out and it won't spin . I was going to repair it and then I read all the reviews .. I don't want to repair a washing machine that is unreliable and with bad program options .. Avoid this washing machine ..

Save your money – If this could get 0 stars that’s what I would give it. Worst washing machine, save your money. Before it started stuffing up it tangles your clothes half the time your clothes come out smelly after 2 full scoops of detergent. Now it struggles draining, won’t spin my clothes, the water won’t stop running even when isn’t on so have to turn off the tap. Thankfully don’t purchase myself as it is in our rental home. Great for 1 year but now not spinning – A bit over a year, really good options, but now it is not spinning. Doesn't spin in washing step, rinse step, or spinning step. It kinda of try to move and doesn't rotate. Fault with the motor or worn out? Or could be a software issue? How to reset to factory settings? Show details

Great washing machine for the price range – I've had the washing machine for several months now and I'm very happy with the way it washes. I use to own an older model wirlpool which lasted more than 20 years. I use to think the old one washed clothes good, but there is significant difference. The new is washes much better. I've read some of the reviews. One person wrote that the washing… Read more

machine puts holes in their clothes. I agree but it only happens to older clothes. So it's telling you it's time for a update, and at least the machine is washing properly. Another person wrote it tangles the clothes, again that's because it doing a good job washing properly. Another person put that the washing machine is too loud, that's because it's doing its job. Another person didn't like that it pauses in the middle of its cycle. It's designed to do so not to overheat. I can't fault the machine it great for the price otherwise those who complain buy a machine for 3 times the price.

Never buying whirlpool again – Don't buy a Whirlpool! This machine stopped working, had to wait 5 weeks for repairs/parts on the machine (Have 4 kids). All warranty staff could give were lies, kept telling me fixed the next day. 3 months after repairs the exact same issue. Called warranty - said someone will look at it in 2 days. Waited a week no phone call. Called back told we… Read more

were getting a store credit this was Friday. She assured me the store will have it Friday, so we could get new machine on Saturday. Go to store no store credit - another weekend cannot do the laundry. All lies from the staff.

Never by a Whirlpool 10kg top load washing machine – Disappointed: stitching in a pair of trousers torn, lining of a spray jacket torn; unbelievable tangling; poor spin drying; creasing means even wash-n-wear clothes need ironing; we bought what I thought was a high quality brand. On reporting these issues to the vendor, an electrical appliances technician was sent to check our machine. He checked… Read more

our washing techniques and found our methods good. He ran his own washing cycles and reproduced our tangling/creasing/drying problems. Unfortunately, he only reported the tangling and creasing issue to Whirlpool (Arisit Pty Ltd), not the damage/spin drying - the response from Arisit Technical Department was "These machines are known for this...theres no way around and the customer will need to chat with the store if they are unhappy, cheers" NOT HAPPY! The vendor, Harvey Norman, has been very surprised with our report and very supportive in addressing our concerns.

The worst – The worst I’ve owned. Incredible how much clothes tangle in this machine, very rough on clothes, even on the delicate setting, massive water waster, very noisy, gets dirty quickly, certainly not a pleasure to use. I didn’t know Whirlpool make such poor quality products. Will not buy another Whirlpool. Show details

Keep shopping! – Very similar to other reviews, this machine it so tough on clothes. I literally have to tip a mangled mess onto the floor to try and detangle, clothes are often ripped and multiple bras have been destroyed (in a wash bag). Whirlpool obviously not what they used to be, very disappointing. Show details

An outstanding washing machine – I purchased this machine as our front loader died and we were in urgent need of a machine. This was one of only a few in stock and available for immediate delivery. I later got home and read the reviews and thought OMG I’ve made a terrible mistake based on the reviews eg. Noisy like a truck, clothes come our soaking wet, doesn’t always empty,… Read more

cloths tangle etc.

Well this machine works like a dream. Clothes are fresh and clean, not noisy at all (can’t hear it in the laundry with door closed), it spins the clothes really well. In short put your clothes in the machine, turn power on and press the start button. The machine does the rest and does it very well.

worst washing machine I have ever owned – I use the machine for general everyday clothing, delicates and my husbands work clothes, linen and towels. I only bought this machine as there were only a few available. I find the settings hard to adjust to what I want to wash. The first wash was great but since then its pretty ordinary. The worst cycle is the delicate cycle as it does not spin… Read more

the clothes properly as they are always sopping wet when I take them out. Clothes are always terribly tangled, destroys my bras even in a bra bag. I feel that the washing times are too long for the wash I'm doing eg delicates. I Would never buy another one and I am looking to replace this one as soon as I can. Would you like to take it off my hands.

Not Happy with the Whirpool WB10037 – Bought a Whirlpool WB10037 10 months ago. We had a Whirlpool before that for 15 years that still worked but time for an upgrade. Decided to stick with Whirlpool. 10 months down the track and it will not stop filling with water, have to shut it off at the taps and has a burning smell & doesn't spin any water out of towels. Can't use it at all now.… Read more

Warranty - not dealing with Whirlpool but the distributor. It will now take 3 weeks to wait to be repaired by an authorised repairer(he is very busy). Rang and spoke to the repairer to let him know that Arisit had missed advising him the machine had 2 issues not 1. Rang Arisit (the distributor) to try to talk about waiting 3 weeks for the machine to be repaired, only to be cut off mid sentence to be told the repair delays are due to all the flooding(we are not in a flood effected area!). Job then sent to another repairer(waiting to hear from them) Not impressed that a machine that is 10 months old has broken down. Whirlpools obviously aren't what they used to be.

Other things to be aware of when buying - needs the drain plug pulled out at the back of the machine once a month - not good if you are unable to get down on the floor or unable to pull the machine out on your own. If you use a cold wash cycle with liquid detergent you have to run the machine every 3 months with a hot wash, bicarb soda & vinegar. These are things to think about that you dont know about until you have the machine instructions manual. Best to check these things online first. Not the easiest machine to figure out the wash cycles and you cannot override if you want to say, give the clothes a bit more final spin to dry them out a bit more, it cant be done.

Upshot -Not good enough after just 10 months - should have bought a Fisher & Paykel like the one my Mum has, no dramas after 3 years or an LG like my son has, no dramas after 4 years.

Update - It has now been a month and still not repaired. Parts will take at least another 2 weeks. Asked for a complete replacement and the silence has been deafening. So will be at least 6 weeks without a washing machine!!!!

Just what we needed!! Perfect! – Brilliantly designed, no agitator makes washing blankets a breeze. Nice and easy digital panel. The washing power dispenser is a great idea, no more undissolved clumpy powder. Highly recommend AA + Show details

Worst Washing Machine ever – This washing machine is the worst one I have ever had. Had it for 14 months now and after numerous cleaners through it (every 2 months, Whirlpool say every 3 months) I still have “black/brown particles” coming off the drum, presumably sludge from the soap with every wash, I never overload with soap powder. I emailed Whirpool approximately 10… Read more

months after purchase, told them I had put cleaner through four times and they told me to put a cleaner through it!!!!! The machine is also rough on the items it is washing. The instructions suggest dissolving the washing powder – if you do that it cannot go in the dispenser as it has holes (especially one large hole) in it, the softener dispenser is on the drum and you have to chase it around the machine and most of the time - I have to manually spin the drum round to gain access – it is also so narrow I have to use a small jug to pour the softener in, as for the filter it is pathetic just a piece of plastic. No matter what I do I always have the particles in my wash for at least 3 washes after using cleaner, and the machine is stripping the stitching off the edges my towels it is so harsh on the washing.

So disappointed! – I bought this washing machine one week ago. I liked the look and size of it and that it didn’t have an agitator, assuming this would be more gentle on our clothes. The shorter, folding lid seemed like a good idea should I wish to mount my dryer above it. However, I have found it difficult to program and have resorted to only using the ‘power’ and… Read more

‘start’ button. It is very noisy and extremely hard on clothes. It tangles and stretches them, threatening to tear them and making them difficult to pull from the tub. It also covers them in lint. $939 Harvey Norman. I hate it.

A great washer – Old hoover washing machine finally gave up so after heaps of research settled for this 10kg washing machine. What a difference, finally can do the doona and large blankets. Features I like: Large capacity, more tall than wide so fitted into space available, auto water level sensor, washes very clean, tells you how much detergent to use, very… Read more

gentle cycle ideal for pillows and Doona, have a choice of programs, manual setting for your own fill, wash, spin, cycle . What I don't like: Pauses between cycles too long, stops to fill a tiny amount of water after starting, in fact after filling it stops again to fill to set amount. Spin speed too slow resulting in clothes too wet on completion. (can increase spin time but by the time I remember it is in cycle and will not respond to change), Hate that drain at back to clear the lint, the internal lint filter is very poor ( hoover caught hair and lint, this one hardly anything, but that's the difference between a tall agitator and a flat one). Still a good value machine for the price.

Very disappointed – After moving over from a Fisher & Paykel washing machine - only because it was going to cost me more to fix it and I knew it had had it's day, I thought I would try the 10kg Whirlpool. No centre agitator seemed a good idea, but how wrong was I. The load of washing is consistently tangled and stretched right throughout the wash and spin. Not my cup of tea thank you. Guess who's mum's not going to have another Whirlpool!! Show details

Slightly Disappointed – Great wash, but the spin cycle makes a ball of tangles with the clothes, and it’s a nightmare with clothes being stretched from untangling, let alone just trying to get them all out. Show details

Great washing machine – When the spin function on my F&P machine broke, I was given the opportunity to either get it fixed or get my money back under Product Care. (She was only 26 months old. So glad I had Product Care) I’d always had F&P machines but they aren’t what they used to be and after doing some research, I decided to get my money back and buy the Whirlpool… Read more

10kg top load washing machine (model WB10037). I certainly made the right decision. I love how the Whirlpool doesn’t have the agitator pole in the middle of the tub. There’s so much more room in the tub without it. I love the ultrasonic function. It really tosses the clothes around giving them a better clean. The lint remover is easy to reach and works great. I no longer have fluff on my black work pants. My super king size bedspread fits easily into the machine and doesn’t come out all tied up. The machine is a little noisier than my F&P, but the wash quality is so much better. F&P are suppose to be in the ‘top of the range’ but I feel that my new Whirlpool Machine is a lot better product. Very satisfied with this washing machine and I’d lightly recommend it to anyone.

Never Again! – I found that the spin cycle left clothes with a lot more water in them than my previous 15 year old LG machine. Not easy to figure out how to run a quick wash. Machine broke down after 4.5 months and local warranty service agents don't stock Whirlpool parts and have minimum 2 week wait for service. After almost 4 weeks of not having a working washing machine, I got my money back and bought an LG. Show details

Did not see the writing on the wall for what was coming – This is our first Whirlpool washing machine. It replaced a Westinghouse heavy duty that was 26years old. We will see if this one stands the time. We bought it 4 days ago, since then I used it once to see how it performs, and without a doubt it did what the instructions stated. I was a little amazed when it did 3 rinses instead of 2. So my next… Read more

wash will be to overide the rinse cycle manually to one rinse. After the machine finished I went to clean the lint filter at the bottom rear of the machine. To do this you need to move the machine to one side to gain access. On removal at least 1.5 litres of water gushed out. This is not a very good idea, especially in the design concept, apart from that the machine did what it was designed to do wash clothes.
