The machine comes with only 1m hoses. Too short to connect to taps under sink immediately next to machine. Length is inadequate and I needed to buy a replacement for $26 Show details

This washing machine (Whirlpool WB70803) is difficult to use - the manual does not really tell you in an easy to follow manner how to use it. I agree with Deano's comments from 2023. It seems nothing has changed since Deano's purchase in 2023. Ours was delivered on the 23 May 2025 and the next day in frustration I sent in a request for help via… Read more

Whirlpool's web page - so far I have been blessed with the courtesy"?" of absolutely no helpful response to my query. We are not satisfied with the way it washes and trying to use some of the "features" of this machine is an absolute exercise in frustration. Deano has hit the nail right on the head when he says Whirlpool need to write a clearer manual or change the custom programming procedures. This would have to be the worst whitegoods purchase we have made in over 50 years of married life. Follow up. Finally resolved by Harvey Norman Loganholme. A big thank you to the management of the white goods department at Harvey Norman Loganholme for outstanding customer service.

Rather Confusing Programming – I chose Whirlpool's WD70803 top loader as it was one of the simpler looking machines on display at Harvey Norman. I believe more bells and whistles = more to fail. Only had it for about 2 months but I'm yet to fathom how to successfully customize a program. You can choose one of the preset washing programs and it works, but it seems to use a full… Read more

tub of water for even quite small loads. You can also customize things like soak time, water level, time delays etc. I've followed their vague instruction manual on how to vary the water level but it still fills right up, does a wash cycle, then beeps to indicate it's finished and shuts down but the tub is full of grey water! I can't make it continue on from that stage, so I have to make it start all over again. It's noisy but washes OK and I think the lack of an agitator might be gentler on clothes but I'm a single bloke and hardly ever wash frilly sheer lingerie to test this out! All Whirlpool needs to do is either write a more clear manual, or change the custom programming procedure to guide the hapless user through the process.

Stay away from any product with 2 years warranty – So I got this Whirlpool 7kg Top Load Washing Machine WB70803, 2 years ago and I swear it seems like it was deliberate by design, just one month after the warranty ended, the drum stopped spinning (in the last cycle) so the clothes were drenched in water, called Harvey Norman and the nice young lady told me a technician will be in my place in the next month and there might be a charge. What a Joke! Show details

It tangles clothes instead of washing them – Never had a washing machine without an agitator but I bought this one because of space restrictions; I needed a smaller machine with a lid that flips in half when open. It ticked those boxes and happy with that. But! I have to soak or wash by hand stained clothes because if I stick them in the machine without doing that, it gets off whatever made… Read more

the stain, but leaves a stain mark behind. And I am not talking about orange juice or other foods that are hard to wash. This is just simple stains that washing machines normally get off. I am 57 so have washed a few loads in my life and I have never had this issue with a washing machine before. I have a teenage son and I have to soak his sheets for a few hours before I put them in the machine because if I don’t do that, they come out pretty much the same way they went in, stained. Now! Untangling sheets from the tangled mess that forms in the machine is a whole new (unpleasant) experience. Don’t wash two sheets at the same time. Trust me on this.

Also, I can’t put a full load in it because it tangles everything like a rats nest and doesn’t not wash properly. If I put in pants or long sleeve tops, they get so terribly tangled that I can’t get them out without spending a few minutes to untangle the ball of clothes that forms and stretching the clothes to a ripping point in the process.

So overall not happy with this machine. As soon as I find one with an agitator that fits my space I’ll be giving this year old washing machine to some I hate.

Very poor design, would not buy again – Arrived from Harvey Norman in the box, then I had to install a plastic grid underneath the machine as per instruction manual page 7! Why do they expect customers to do that. Followed their instructions to install clip on drainage hose, went out for 5 minutes to a flooded unit. Clearly the drainage clip is not suitable for this purpose. Very… Read more

disappointed. UPDATE they sent me some more hose clips, nowhere near as good as the one I bought myself and put on. I got an answer about the plastic grid too, it is supposed to stop rats and mice getting into the workings of the machine. Machine washes well, does a small load quickly.

Great little washing machine – I have just changed from a twintub to an automatic. I am able to keep up with the washing for myself and my husband quite easily. The only slightly negative ting I would say is that the machine doesn’t spin the clothes quite as dry as my old machine. Show details

Don't be fooled by the size - this is one powerful machine! – As a busy person, I don't have time to sort clothes into colours, whites and different kinds of fabric (although most of my clothes are cotton). This machine doesn't mind - I can use the 'Normal' setting for pretty much everything. More time-rich people can choose from Cotton, Heavy Duty, Quick, Blankets and Delicates as well as Normal and each… Read more

program offers unique settings, times and temperatures. While 7kg is a bit less than I have had before, I find I can usually fit my load into the machine and still some breathing room. The best feature of all is its size; it is quite small. This doesn't affect the performance and gives me extra space for a detergent shelf. My only concern is the energy rating which, at 2 stars is probably similar to other top loaders but less than my previous front loader. The water ratin, at almost 4 stars, is a lot better.
