worst purchase ever – Please see attached photo that maybe helpful for some. It is a picture of the oven knob the last time I purchased a new plate. I agree with all the reviews. Seals constantly being replaced, glass exploded first few months, knobs hot and needed replacing within a few months, noisy, just horrible. Service from Whirlpool was woeful. If it… Read more

happened now they would have to do a full refund under consumer law or replace with a decent product. I will never buy that brand again. I really need to just replace it. As an interim, as I want to get splash back done and tiling etc so a big job before I get a new oven, there is someone in UK that can do decals. If anyone can get or has photos of the knobs, can they please let me know? This is the only one that I have but I need to look further in case I took photos of the rest.

Been great for our kitchen – Stove & oven works well. Haven’t had any issues with ours so far. Thought I’d put this on because it seems very negative out there. My sister also has the same unit & has been working well. Great price & affordable freestanding stove. One of the only in the size & price range I was looking at  Show details

Absolute Garbage – I know this product is discontinued, but I'm avoiding Whirlpool and encouraging others to do so as well. I don't know where to start. The seal keeps breaking, and even a brand new seal leaks like crazy at the top, destroying the markings on the front so we had to resort to a Sharpie to know where to set the dials. This leakiness (pretty easy to… Read more

see where it's coming from - the seal sits against the metal frame on the sides and the glass at the top, so the thickness of the metal is a gap at the top) means it takes an absurdly long time to heat up, often up to an hour. This also makes it wasteful of electricity and limits its top temperature.

The elements break frequently, the storage area underneath is falling apart, and when the oven is on the knobs are too hot to use without a glove.

This oven is utter trash.

Average at best – The oven is now useless as the numbers/pictures have worn off. The power light fell out and the oven seal is shot. Would by a new face to get the numbers, but not available! Whirlpool - How about you back up your products and have the new face available. I won't look at Whirlpool again  Show details

Rubbish – The glass exploded on mine almost causing a fire. Customer support was terrible so I complained to consumer affairs due to the dangerous nature of the fault. I eventually had it replaced by Whirlpool with the ACG902IX and the thermostat failed a couple of years later. Awful, dangerous product

Piece of rubbish! – I bought mine in 2010, had to replace the thermostats twice, door seal three times, the knobs get very hot and any moisture in the oven condenses and runs down the door, leaking out onto the floor and damaged my polished timber floor. Piece of junk!

Had to be fixed 3 times in 4 years – I bought this oven 4 years ago . The week it ran out of warranty the glass smashed due to the thermostat being broken . That was fixed , a few months later it happened again . A year on any the oven element has broken . All the knobs get so hot you can't turn them . all the numbers have wiped off so you can not see what anything is . Do not buy… Read more

Not bad – Have had this oven for years yea it may get a little but I can tern the nobs easy if the oven on an I use the gas personally have had no trouble with it. Only issue the large burner broke, and the images on the dials have rubbed off and can't remember what they were so now only use one setting. But over all not bad Look, fan, Burns food easy

Regretful – Included this in a new kitchen Reno as Oven looks impressive thought whirlpool was a reputable company. Seal broke after second use....fan broke after about 4th use. It burns everything you put in it...it can reduce a cake to carbon in 15 min even on very low settings. Knobs are too hot to turn. Markings on dial rub off....can only use the gas… Read more

You get what you pay for – This was cheap, compared to other ovens with the same features. I trusted the brand, so I thought it was a fairly safe bet. How wrong was I? the seal split after a couple of weeks, and it took 3 months for another one to be provided and fitted. The knobs get very hot and any moisture in the oven condenses and runs down the door, leaking out onto… Read more

the floor. It now trips the RCD in our circuit board every 10 minutes, which makes it useless. Overall, this is a piece of crap. I'll never buy the Whirlpool brand again. Cheap Poor overall quality.

Dangerous – Do not buy this produt. We purchased ourd 19/12/2008. This oven gets extremely hot on the out side affecting all knob/dials with glowing heat. Red led light fell out short time after due to immense heat generated. Fan forced part sparked and blew out shorting out my power plug in the house nearly causing a fire. ($1600.00 fault) ill be taking this… Read more

Terrible – This is the biggest piece of crap I've ever bought. Inner door glass exploded after third use early Jan 2010 still waiting now for repairs 18/5/10 after lots of phone calls, rubbish excuses etc from whirlpool, local repair agents not interested in helping. Whirlpool cust service sounded helpful at the start, absolutely hopeless from then on. Don't… Read more

Terrible – I would not recommend this product to anyone. It is an absolute lemon and customer service at Whirlpool is absolutely non existent. They would not fix the oven as it was just out of warranty and in their own words said " You have had bad luck with the oven." This is not a safe product, do not buy Whirlpool! We purchased the ACG900IX because it… Read more

looked good and because it had the flame failure we thought it was safe. The oven knob broke within two months of purchase, not covered under warranty. The Fan stopped functioning after 23 months and was replaced and after two months the thermostat has now gone. The oven may be set to 80 degrees but is heating to over 200 degrees.

Heap of garbage – Had nothing but problems since we bought it, it eventually caught fire under the cooktop thank god...now I can replace this heap of rubbish Fuses blowing issues in the first 2 weeks, little orange oven power light fell out after 6 mths, fan forced element died after 12 mths, oven selector switch started arcing after 18mths, all electrical… Read more

components heat affected and brittle after 12mths, ended up having a massive electrical fire under the cook top, lucky it didn't burn the kitchen down. Total heap of dangerous rubbish do not even think about purchasing a whirlpool oven
