Just had the washing machine for 10 months and it's already playing up. Washing cycle stopped and door doesn't open. Rang whirlpool and they asked me to wait for 3 business days for a technician to come out. I asked if they can speed up the process, they said no as they have hundreds of brands to deal with. Maybe they only have a handful of technician to deal with repairs!
What's more frustrating is there isn't a door release tag for this model, so all my clothes would definitely be moldy!!
Purchased in at Costco for $745.
Very Shit machine, two breakdowns within first 8 months of owning!!
I bought this machine for $871 in October 2020 at Harvey Norman West Gosford NSW in Oct 2020 the main sale point to me was the advertised sticker saying bonus 3yrs warranty ontop of standard 2yrs, so I get 5yrs all up,
and from as early as 14th Dec I already needed a technician to come to my house under its warranty to repair a leak which he said was due to something inside which was loose from most likely its shipping into Australia.
In recent times the machine has been terribly noisy , but now I'm awaiting since discovering last Sunday 2...

Easy to use, quiet. Washes extremely well. The "Mixed" cycle is economical and only takes an hour.
The "Cotton"cycle takes longer, depending on the weight of the load, but is very good. Wide range of cycles.
Purchased in for $700.

This machine is very pleasing to look at and operates extremely quietly. On first use, I did notice that some smalls became caught in the rubber seal, which didn't happen on my previous model. On enquiry I was advised to use laundry bags.
Purchased in at Domayne QLD, Bundall for $798.

purchased a front loader to allow for bigger loads. so far the machine has meet our requirements & performed as the sales guy said it would.
appears to be louder than our 16yo top loader in some stages of the cycles
a disappointment was no instruction manual was received with product and the basic instruction sheet provided was damp inside the machine
also need to remove small amounts of water from rubber seal after each wash

The cost to fix our old machine sent us to the shops. We took the sales guys advice and bought a brand that specialises in washing machines and not electronics. Great look, easy to use, very quiet, does the wash very well. What more do you want from an appliance ? Very happy.

This is our first front loader. Bought to replace top loader on its last legs. This machine is so easy use. I love the adjusting time feature based on load weight. The quality of the wash is excellent, and love the 1 hour mixed wash feature. The 30 minutes is excellent for school uniforms mid week. We are a family of four.
High recommend Whirlpool. Also left a similar review on the retailers website before I completed this.

Have used the washing machine for 5 weeks now and this front loader washer is a generation ahead of the previous washer I had. As a cyclist I am constantly washing and wearing, so ease of use, economical use of detergent and water, as well as good power consumption rating are what I value in a new washer. This Whirlpool does all of these things superbly.
It workes well but in comparison with my previous, it's cycle times are too long so I prefer to use Rapid 30 minutes and it is kind of splashy. The price was really reasonable.

We had to replace our old Hitachi top loading 6kg washing machine which gave up the ghost after over 30 years. We researched all the washing machines both top and front loading and found the Whirlpool had a great review and as we had a Whirlpool Fridge which has been great we decided to get the Whirlpool machine. We are extremely happy with it and would recommend it to prospective buyers. Clothes clean beautifully and it is so efficient on power and water. Couldn't be happier.

Read more Kind Regards, Whirpool AustraliaI brought this machine 2 months ago , very disappointed , no matter how little detergent I use it leaves suds in the door at the end of cycle, also clothes are still very wet after spinning and sound crunchy from not rinsing properly and just in a heap when cycle done, my last machine was 7kg also, this one doesn’t take as much in a load so doing twice as many loads, and needing to do rinse and spin on top of washing cycle every time, any suggesting please as I’m now looking at selling it and purchasing a different brand.
We are very pleased and have had none of those issues. Ask about repairs under warranty. You should have consumer protection.

Read more In regards to the door lock release, you can ply open the bottom/kick plate. Behind the kick plate, on the far right hand, there is a black plastic tab that is screwed to the machine. Remove the screw so you can pull down the black plastic tab to release the door. Hope this helps! Regards, Emma Kind Regards
