Very useful and safe tool – I bought this after seeing all the ads for the dual saw/twin blade saw which to me just didn't seem all that useful - an angle grinder could do a better job of what they did for metal and a circular saw could do a better job for wood. This seemed like something different but useful, a mini circular saw, good for precision work but without the… Read more

giant cuts a twin blade saw would make, and without the danger of a circular saw.

I am just a home handyman that, by virtue of family situation and economic circumstances, have had to learn how to fix and repair most things and one of the most common situations I find myself in is needing to precisely cut a sheet of wood (and a jig saw would be too rough), but a circular saw would be too cumbersome so I've either gone down the tenon saw route or just struggled with the circular saw.

Until now.

The Handycut saw is a perfect compliment to your tool collection. It can cut sheet wood or metal or anything really (but I wouldn't use it for metal bars - angle grinder does that), with ease and safety. I recently had to precisely cut a thin piece of wood to repair a chest of drawers and this tool made it all too easy... with the laser guide, depth setting and guards everywhere, it is a very safe tool, and one that will give good results. It's not a tradesman tool but for a handyman/woman, it is really good and being so portable, light and easy to use, means when I need to repair something at a family member's home, I'll not hesitate to take it with me.

Overall, I'd highly recommend it - for precision cutting and when you need something between a jigsaw and a full blown circular saw, this tool fits the bill to a tee. Safe. Easy to use, gives good results without hassle. Laser guide Would've been nice to get a case/tool bag, but you get 3 blades and the tool so I can't complain.
