Best bang for buck – Excellent battery life, sometimes two full days with heavy use (games, youtube, camera). Camera is excellent and the portrait mode is on par with Apple and Samsung. The display is super crisp and bright, with the added night mode making it easier on the eyes for bedtime viewing. The phone is very speedy and I have never had trouble or lag when running any app. Show details
Good Value and Support – This phone gets the latest updates within weeks, despite its age and company/country of origin. The little light at the top is really annoying and can't be disabled. If you want to review products and services in the dark, it'll drive you mad when the battery is below 20% with endless fading in and out. The screen on mine cracked on first impact.… Read more
Now the screen has dark oily streaks where my filthy hands have been in contact for 2 years now. The phone survived a quick dunk in the water, though I did place it on a dehumidifier which can get a room to 26% humidity and leave it there for a week. The incident was 4 months ago, and corrosion hasn't set in yet. The battery life is very impressive. I still get up to 32 hours with low use. The processor is a bit weak though and will struggle if you move between apps to copy/paste and will undoubtedly prevent you from taking a candid photo of your dog before it moves from a cute position.
Good phone at a low price – I bought a Xiaomi Mi A1 direct from China in May 2018 for $252.30. It came with Android One as operating system, 4GB RAM, 32GB storage. It has a 5.5" screen with top and bottom bezels. It's thin and light. The display is bright and very crisp & clear. The sound from the single bottom firing speaker is clear and loud. It is very helpful for driving… Read more
directions with google assistant working along with Google car. On the whole it is an excellent phone, not better than a iPhone X but much less expensive and just as durable.
What I especially like about the phone is that it receives regular monthly software updates and even major operating system updates. For example, when I bought it the phone had Android 8.0 it was updated to 8.1 after a month or two and then in January 2019 it was updated to Android 9.0 and has received the February security update (I am writing this on the first of March 2019). The hardware is good, it all works well, the phone looks good and is well made. It's a good buy and good to use. The only weaknesses are in the cameras which are competent and useful but not great. I recommend Xiaomi as a manufacturer of smart phones and if you can get Android One on your model then do it, the software updates are good and reassure me a little that the phone will remain useful and fairly secure for at least a few years.

Great phone great price – This phone is great, none of the extra bloat on many Androids. Looks a lot like an iphone, does everything you need it to. Only con is that it definitely needs a case, very slippery back and easy to drop. Thankfully heaps of covers available online as it's a popular phone overseas. Show details
Apple Phone at a Xiaomi Price – Xiaomi's phones are a godsend. Why pay $1000+ for the latest Apple phone, when you can get one just as good if not better for five times less? The A1 in particular is wonderful because it has been made incooperation with Google, so quality is guaranteed, and there is unlimited photo storage. The double-camera is very sharp, and the finger-print… Read more
reader is very fast. The only caveat is the warranty conditions, as it might be difficult to make a claim.
Very happy with the phone – Xiaomi A1 was the perfect choice for me. The price was so good for a mid-range phone with enough storage for my photos. The camera is great with the portrait mode, the output photos of which, I just love-love-love. I'm sharing those photos in my social network and everywhere. The device is also built sturdy and since I have a white A1, my friends… Read more
sometimes confuse it for an iPhone. Another thing that is worth mentioning is that I get the Android operates on it regularly. I know most of us wouldn't notice it but the updates are what keeps our phone and data secure and I will choose to use this phone as long as it gets regular updates. It's been more than half a year since I'm carrying this phone and I will continue to use it as long as it serves me.

Perfect cheap phone – Xiaomi has never failed to impress me. From the design to it's functionally, everything about this phone is almost perfect. Price point, it's around $250 - $300. It comes with 4GB of RAM which is plenty for modern apps and 64GB of storage space! In addition to that, you can expand that with a 64GB memory card! That's plenty of space for your… Read more

This phone comes with a dual camera function, however I am not very sure if it's suppose to work as it says. I compared it to my wife's Huawei P9 dual camera and it's not fairing very well. The image quality is not the best, however, if you are like me, who doesn't really care about camera, this phone is really suitable for you.
The most positive side about this phone is that, it is under the android one program. This basically means that there are no bloat wares installed and it's a VANILLA version of Android 8. Google handles all the update on this phone. You will get the latest update from google FIRST HAND!
For the price of $300, I can confidently say that you won't have to worry about it. It cost almost of the same as an apple screen replacement
