Best phone brand ever – I really miss this phone. I crashed the screen by accident and bought a Xiaomi Note 9 Pro. It was perfectly fast and reliable! The motorised selfie camera was so fancy! Show details

Service disappointing – I bought two Xiaomi 9T in 2019 for my wife and myself for nearly a thousand dollars and we were very impressed with it. However, 18 months later mine stopped working and my wife's the following day. The repair quote was over $830, which is more than buying new midrange phones. Xiaomi refused to replace or repair because we bought them on line. I expect a quality phone to last longer than 18 months. No Xiaomi for us again. Show details

Warranty useless unless you can be without phone for several weeks – Contacted support 5th July to now get “approval” to return phone and be told repair/replacement will take up to 6 weeks. Warranty virtually useless unless you can effectively be without a fully working phone/no phone for up to 2 months. No local agent to handle issues. Great phone WHEN working as intended. Show details

Cheap but quality – Its a cheap budget phone however the build quality is pretty fantastic. Camera works well in most cases however it is very aggressive in its "smart" filter. Ie. food shots will become very saturated and not look realistic. Finger print sensor works well (on screen) Most apps run well, however frustratingly is the powersave mode which loves to kill apps even if you have chosen them to run all the time. Not all widgets also work.

Too good to be true – At A$649 RRP (don't pay that much), the Mi 9T is no plasticky budget phone, but it's not that costly either, you'd think it's average. But you'd be wrong. The 4,000mah battery provides 1-1.5 days of usage for me- a heavy user who plays demanding games, watches FHD+ videos and runs a lot of benchmarks & takes 4K video. The camera is decent. Also,… Read more

the 6.39" notch free bezel free screen is great, and the pop-up selfie cam has shocked many. The SD730 is the only mid-ranger giveaway- while being fairly powerful it simply doesn't stack up to $1000+ phones. The included 18W charging is a bonus too. The only big negatives is the mono speaker (which sounds okay though), the lack of an IP rating (Don't. Get. It. Wet!) and no wireless charging.

Great Phone at a Great Price and a No Hassle Purchase through TecoBuy – Was in need of a new phone, so did some research and decided on the Xiaomi Mi 9T. I brought the phone through TecoBuy, first time purchaser with these guys. The phone hadn't arrived after a week or so. I dropped them an email, they sorted it promptly, and I got the phone pretty quickly after that. The phone does a good job, and I'm very happy with it. Show details

The upper mid range value champion - snappy processor, premium feel, notchless screen and good cameras – Despite an early failure, for the short time I had it this was a superb phone. The MIUI skin is a little bit of an acquired taste, however unlike many Android devices, it isn't full of "bloatware". Android 9 out of the box, so bang up to date. Pros: Great processor - speed comparable to a Samsung GS8 No notch screen - this achieved by a pop-up… Read more

selfie camera Triple rear cameras - and if you install a GCam APK, extraordinary night shots 2 SIM slots, both VoLTE capable (tested and working on Telstra 4G) Band 28 4G Premium look and feel Comes with a good case out of the box Reasonable battery life Amazing value - street price around mid $400s (currently $439 on the official Mi Store on eBay with coupons) 3.5mm headphone jack in a world going to USB-C / lightning only audio connections

Cons: No expandable storage - so you can't add an SD card for extra memory AFAIK no actual Australian service capability - so warranty issues likely to be dealt with overseas Be aware the Redmi K20 is a "twin" of the Mi 9T - however the K20 doesn't have Band 28 4G

Oh and suggest to be wary of Toby Deals - see my separate review
