XPeng G6 Long Range
6 reviews
My husband bought his G6 a year ago we had a minor accident and have been waiting 9 months for parts. These cars should not be sold in Australia when parts are unavailable or Xpeng are having disputes with true EV. WE DON’T CARE we just want our car fixed, it’s a balls up to say the least. I would advise to steer clear of Xpeng at all costs. Show details
My XPENG G6 needs an an annual service. I live in Canberra. The phone number given does no9t answer. The app shows no service centres in Canberra nor anywhere in NSW. My vehicle has been waiting for parts with no estimate of when parts will be available. The vehicle may be good, but the communication and service is unbelievably bad: worse than appalling. Better options are available.
I was genuinely excited when I ordered my XPeng in January 2025. I was told the wait would be around two months, and the team were friendly and helpful at the start. In reality, the car took six months to arrive, and I had to constantly chase for updates. Each time I followed up, I was told it had been delayed again. When the car finally arrived,… Read more
I was happy with it and would’ve recommended it based on the driving experience alone.
However, two months ago a small tree branch—really more of a stick—fell on the panoramic glass roof and cracked it. Annoying, but that’s what insurance is for. What I didn’t expect is to be waiting two full months (and counting) for a replacement part. I’ve had to chase every update myself, and this week I was told the ship carrying the part has been delayed with no ETA for when it will arrive.
I honestly can’t believe the Australian distributor doesn’t keep essential spare parts in local stock. It means that even minor repairs can turn into months of downtime.
I enjoyed the car, but the after-sales support and parts availability in Australia have been extremely disappointing. XPeng really needs to improve how it operates here.
I wish I've never bought it. My experience with Xpeng has been profoundly disappointing, primarily due to an unacceptable issue with spare parts availability. After a minor accident, I've been waiting over four months for a simple side plastic part. This is despite being explicitly assured during purchase that their "full warehouse" could ship… Read more
anything within two weeks. That promise has proven to be entirely false, leaving me stranded and without transport for a significant portion of the year. It is not fixed yet!!!
Beyond this critical failure, the vehicle's sensor performance and drive assistance systems are far from amazing and frequently frustrating. basically the reason of my accident in the first place.
This isn't just an inconvenience; it's a fundamental failure in customer support and logistics that makes owning an Xpeng a significant liability. Prospective buyers, be warned: impressive technology means little if you can't get your car back on the road. I am sure they will be out of market very soon and I am stuck with this car forever without any support
I own a black Xpeng G6 Long Range(I’m sitting in it now as I write this review). The odometer says I have done just under 10,000 kilometres over the past 8 months of ownership. Car has had zero issues over this time and has averaged 16 kWh/100km’s - I drive fairly aggressively so that is a very good number. For the money this is the best electric car in Australia. Real world range is very close to Xpeng’s WLTP claim. Show details
G6 long range . Many of the features are better than in a Tesla. Tha app not very good Show details
Follow-up · The app is very clumsy, substandard. It's a pain to work keyless, to be point I'm using the car key to lock and unlock which is pathetic. It does charge at most Tesla superchargers.
