Returned home to find my home inundated with water. All four Yabby Sydney Wall Mixer cartridges failed simultaneously after only 7 months. Every non Yabby tap in the house functioned perfectly. Yabby has admitted the failure by offering new cartridges and referenced that this happened often and they will send out new cartridges. ATTENTION… Read more

Collective Action on Yabby Cartridge Failures

I am currently coordinating a collective evidence log for an NCAT (NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal) claim regarding systemic failures of Yabby tapware cartridges.

I have already been contacted by 15+ other homeowners who have experienced the exact same catastrophic failure—specifically, cartridges leaking or failing entirely just months after installation.

If you have experienced this product failure, please help us hold the manufacturer accountable:

• Email: yabbytapfailure@gmail.com

• What to send: A brief summary of your failure, the age of the taps, and a copy/screenshot of Yabby’s response to your claim.

Providing a record of multiple, identical failures is crucial to proving a systemic product defect under Australian Consumer Law. Your contribution will help ensure that no other family has to return home to a flooded house due to these faulty components.

Email yabbytapfailure@gmail.com to join the evidence log.

So disappointed in Yabby and their customer service. I purchased some taps at the start of our build and when we were ready to do the plumbing fit off, I realised 2 of the taps were wrong for what we needed and also 4 sink drains. This was past the return date so I emailed them explaining my situation with the order details in the email, (they… Read more

have been in the box since I received them) they told me I could return these and sent the return details to me. So I repurchased the correct taps/sink drains we needed in the mean time. And when Yabby received the taps they told me they won’t except them because there past the return date, so they told me to come and collect them. Customer service is so bad!! They don’t care for nothing, even when I had a email showing that they approved them to be returned (problem is they didn’t actually look at my order, just a cut and paste response) but how was I meant to know they didn’t bother to look at the order properly!!

Will never purchase or recommend them to anyway purely because of their customer service. Also there taps are cheap too, there just water mark taps that you can get for about $95 from somewhere like My Deal online, it just has there colour. They have also changed there supplier since, and the new taps look a lot cheaper, skinner, shinny and lines running through the plating, attached is a photo with the tap on the bottom from there new supplier. Very disappointed especially when I have spent about $12k between Yabby and Tile Cloud and they couldn’t help me out with this.

Look nice but BAD QUALITY - Taps are leaking and now im stuck with the repair costs. Customer service really unhelpful too. Very disappointed - go to Reece instead, they will honour all warranties and cover any costs.

Products look good, but possibly the worst customer service experience I've ever encountered. The Tile Cloud/Yabby products are highly appealing, but I've had so many issues with my orders now. Items that were in stock when ordered then turned into pre-orders and required chasing up. Items that were in stock not dispatched for delivery when they… Read more

were supposed to be. And now the kicker, missing parts from one item (that apparently don't come in the same box as the main component!) that were discovered by the tiler a week ago. Even though I phoned Yabby straightaway and they agreed to send the parts out express post, I'm still waiting with no confirmation that they've been sent. Phoned yesterday and spoke to another customer service person who promised to call me back with an ETA - surprise surprise, they didn't. Phoned again today, was promised it was being escalated and they would confirm, and yet, no confirmation back and no idea if the missing part has even been dispatched. Oh, and I tried to phone back just before their closing time, nope, no answer! Guess they all decided to give themselves an early mark today instead of helping their customers.

Let us down at every opportunity. Incredibly disappointing – We have not even used the products yet so I can't comment on that, however this has been the worst consumer experience I've ever had. The staff are not unpleasant to deal with, but nothing seems to actually be getting accomplished on their end and they are failing their customers. Initially a trade order, out of exasperation our builders… Read more

eventually handed communication over to us (homeowners) and the frustration and disappointment have continued with us. To try to summarise our experience: - Advised multiple times that items are in stock, and paid for them, only to later be advised they are not in stock (10 items in total) - Entire order was held back due to one faucet being out of stock which was not due back in stock for four months. They did not inform us of this - we found out after chasing them like crazy to try and find out why we weren't receiving any shipping info. - After a lot of back and forth to eventually find out that several other items were also not in stock, we had to cancel the entire ($10,000) order to be able to reorder items that were in stock - several weeks later the refund is nowhere in sight, so as of now we have paid for the order twice. - Order finally arrived and was missing a mixer (critical as it must go in before plaster can go up and the plasterers have waited as long as possible with all these delays) - Called asking how to fix this and was told I'd be emailed a claim form to complete for the missing mixer. Was sent a 'thank you for subscribing' email instead. - Had to call again to get the form sorted, explained the now very urgent situation and begged them to express post the missing mixer the next day. Was assured it would be picked up by Auspost the next morning. Had not received any shipping info by early afternoon. Checked in and was told that it was packed up and waiting in the warehouse but 'for some reason Auspost did not collect it'. After so many delays the plumbers have not been able to get the internal components into the walls in time and we're now losing our plasterers to another job which will set us back weeks. All that to say a $10,000 order has cost $20,000, is still unfulfilled and has set an active build back by weeks due to Yabby letting us down at every possible turn. We're so incredibly disappointed. If there are any issues with the fixtures that will just be the nail in the coffin.

Legit, fast and looks great – Went looking for reviews of yabby tapwear as I've been down the path before of fake websites on bathroom products. Very happy to report that my order of their antique brass tapwear arrived yesterday and looks beautiful. Good effort from the staff to soothe my concerns (the fact they're a sister company to tilecloud helped), super fast delivery… Read more ·  1

(3 ...or maybe 4 ?, days from order to delivery) and while I haven't yet checked that all items are there, all looks great so far. Will update if I remember post installation!
