Ecconomical, Reliable and Well Built – I recently purchased a 2009 Vstar 250 privately. I was very fortunate as it was an urgent sale and was at a great price.. It needed a few minor repairs, tyres, front disk pads and brake rotor. it had 23750 kms when I bought the bike. The quality of the workmanship on the Vstar is very good. the paint is beautiful, metallic brown and white… Read more

pearl. The bike rides very well.. corners nice and is a pleasure to ride.. it is very underpowered.. but what it loses in power it gains in economy.. I previously had a Hyosung gtr650r so the step down in power is very noticeable for me.. but the quality and finish is better.. since I have owned the vstar it has been very reliable and apart from regular wear and tear items like oil, tyres, etc it has been a pleasure.. I find the seat uncomfortable after an hour, but I have a back injury so I don't expect that will affect most people. the Yamaha feels confident on the road, brakes aren't stellar, but they work ok and the gearbox can be a bit clunky, maybe a different oil will settle it down a bit.. the bike is easy to push around the garden and reverse. with low seat height.. the cruiser riding style takes a bit of getting used to coming from a sports bike.. but its something you get used to fairly quickly..

I am very happy with my Vstar and look forward to many miles of trouble free riding..

With a true v-twin engine and classic cruiser style, it is comfortable to ride, handles really well, and had a look that crys "sit on me". If you… Read more

are looking for your first bike. This xv250 is flawless. I ride 1988 xv250 and have ridden many including 2012. You won't be dissapointed.

The only dis-like is that if you stall she will only start in nutural. Handling, style and touque Only starts in nutural.
