Incredible! Excellent Shelter – Very happy with the Aerobase 3 Pro Air Shelter. Pro's: solid, roomy, good protection from sun, wind and rain. Good quality build. Surprises: Will use an electric pump - takes more pumping up than I expected. Check both air valves - a slow leak on one lead to a deflation 20 mins after setup - but all good after tightening valves. would have liked… Read more

to have seen a valve at each leg to assist with packup - getting air out of the frame. Takes longer to setup and pack than a gazebo but worth the extra 15 mins each way.

Zempire aerobase 3 pro love it – Purchased it from snowys outdoors and I am very happy with it so far , very good quality . Camped last night on beach with a moderate SW wind and it was easy to setup for a first timer . About the only thing I can complain about is it only comes with 4 sand pegs so you hear the zippers flapping around in breeze . Apart from that 10/10 , haven't packed it up yet so if that's a pain I will update review . Show details

The Good and The Bad – Bought Aerobase3 as alternative this long weekend and was impressed and not impressed. I am basing this review off having 3 Coleman Event 14s (one being the deluxe model) and that its usually the only one left standing when a big storm rolls through the camp ground. I going to be thorough as I couldn't find a detailed review before I bought. As… Read more

any man knows you don't need instructions and we had the Aerobase3 up in under ten minutes... (not counting the ten to work out a stupid mistake I made where the side pole slot into). It is seriously one simple, easy, one person show to put it up and I didn't break a sweat on a 30deg day. Far superior than my previous shelter in that respect. The pack up was slightly tricky for my first time but still about ten minutes, stress free. We had a few windy days and it held up well, maybe 20k winds. Our last day was 30-40km winds with gusts. These occasional gust caused one corner to keel over and pop inwards, but no bent or broken poles! A slight push and the whole thong pops back into place. This happened twice and I put a camp chair in that corner and it didn't collapse after that. It will tend to lean and bow a bit in the wind but it didn't bother me and wasn't excessive in my opinion. The quality is top notch, there is nothing shoddy or half done that I could find except the main pegs. The bag straps actually go all the way around so you can really pull them tight. Its a better fit in the car/pod/camper and lighter which is a plus for us.

The second main reason we bought this over Event14Delux was the waterproofing. Unfortunately we still had drips coming from the seams around the vent, really disappointing. The rain wasn't belting down but had rained consistently for 4/5hrs so would have thought well in the 2000mm waterproof range.

The main pegs are a huge disappointment, one broke hammering in, really flimsy and cheap...completely at odds with the rest of the tent.

Will add further review after Xmas couple weeks out with it.

****Post Xmas review Set up and pack down still so easy, no stuck metal frame section or worrying about your mate helping you bending the poles (Event 14). I did think it was hotter under this shelter than than the event 14, the silver cover on event may have the advantage there. We got 4 walls for it this time as well so made a great mozzie free..ish environment in the evening. I did'nt go to trouble of pegging down walls for minimum ground airgap though, but much better than without. Wasn't any wind to judge, but I convinced its better overall than previous 3 Coleman Event 14's.

Final word... Very happy we moved to aerobase and a clear winner in my book ********************************** UPDATE:....May 2023 Changed rating to 5+ stars The water leak seemed to be a fault in the seam sealing around the air vent. Upon photographing and showing Zempire, I got a replacement shelter (Excellent service from Zempire). Our replacement shelter is completely water tight and no drips at all after torrential downpours, all day rain or any amount of rain (unless the wind is really up and blowing rain in through vents.... which means sideways rain so evertything was going to get wet regardless!). This Easter on beach front camping, I saw at least 15 pop up metal frame shelters fail in the wind... all went into the bin, such a waste of materials. Our Aerobase flattened, crushed, flew back and forth and just popped right back up no broken poles, no twisted metal fames. wind was about 50-60km at gusts.

If your sick of buying a new shelter every time the wind flattens them, try an Aerobase, more expensive but after your second replacement of something like an Event 14 it pays for itself.

Buying the 3 e xtra walls was also a great idea, not cheap at $80 something each but great to keep the roo's out of everything.

A very good alternative to a folding metal gazebo – We just wanted an outdoor shelter that could be set up fast and offer a good area of protection. There's lots of folding metal ones to choose from in different shapes, sizes and accessories to enable them to be a tent in its own right - they are inexpensive and available everywhere. BUT - they are heavy (25kg +++ : lighter aluminum ones are… Read more

light but still heavy), the packed size becomes a problem when you want to fit it a car (seats down as they can be 130 + cm long). They set up fast but may need ballast to hold them in place.

The team at Snowy's recommended this. I was sceptical because it relies on inflated pockets and bendy rods to form the shape.

2 x 3 day camps now and ready to review.

This is lighter (14.5kg) and compact when packed down (74cm x 38 x 34). This is despite having a bulkier than desired plunge pump to inflate it. So fits in the car with other gear and easier to store at home - the carry bag is strong.

At 3.6m x 3.6m its bigger than the popular 3 x 3 folding gazebo which are less expensive. Of course there are bigger gazebos but you go back to more weight and packed size...

Its relatively quick to set up, and the inflation process is quick too (but slower than a folding gazebo). The four inflatable legs/ pillar thingies, are all connected and inflate as one - probably ~20 pumps. All good for now - but I'm bracing for the first puncture like an old bike tube and resort to patching it - but not yet.

It comes with 1 side / door - we purchased 3 more and the matching floor to provide a complete tent that seals other than the walls to the floor. The doors and the tent is made of good quality material, well thought out placement of bits, convenient pockets and strong zips - a quality unit. The doors have windows that can be zipped open really well.

Despite the large windows, wind does not rush through owing the the good fly screen - which is good, but also bad as it doesn't cool down easily (30 + degree days). This is an advantage though when its cooler outside and you want to stay warm - as it does.

This is probably the weak point of the tent - it lets light in (bit bright), you feel the heat more than expected.

It packs easier than set up - real easy.

So - a good all rounder - it gets a bit pricey once you add all the bits we got - however provides good shelter for lower weight and size.
