Very poor after sales service/no warranty support – We had rooftop solar installed on our new house in 2016. It's been ok until November this year when I noticed that the inverter seemed to have failed. I contacted Zen and they said inverter was out of warranty. centre (inverter) has a 10 year warranty. It still has 3 years remaining! After a couple of emails back and forth and promises of we'll get back to you soon, they never do. I'm very disappointed and expected so much more from a company like this who stated they were all about service. That is the whole reason we paid more for Zen, SUPPORT! Ha! It's been 4 weeks of fobbing me off and very poor communication, waiting on a decision from "higher up". I'll keep you posted...

After sales service is non existent – Our solar installation hasn’t been working properly since it was installed over a year ago. do things in itself) No part and no follow up. I’ve called them and have received little in the way of feedback. I even rang our salesman to see if he could help but haven’t heard back from him either. Lots of promises, zero delivery.

Glad we installed solar – We installed 32 solar panels. We put them on a stand next to the house. Since installing we have been supplying our electricity needs and the grid. Early days, yet, but looks like we will achieve our power savings goals – The instalment looks good and is working well. Had a wee hiccup though. Couldn't log on to, monitor the units performance. Got sorted pretty quickly and allows us to tune our usage behaviour to use power when we generate our own. use power at night. FREE NO COST ) great Eh. 2, Controller fitted to our hot water cylinder. This will allow us to heat the water when we want it with our own power. Every improvement costs. With the right advise, the right installers and a good company to give accurate and factual instruction on how to train your usage habits, will let you get the best out of your system.

Now I just have to work out how to make my own water.

Very Happy – Excellent help in planning what I wanted - 7.44kW system across the east & west sections of my roof with battery storage. Installed over a couple of days with no hassles - installers where excellent & got the panels up in the most visually pleasing configuration. Great savings on power bills – We had a 6.6kw system installed on our newly built home earlier this year, having used Zen solar on our previous house. Again excellent service throughout the process. Quality counts – Installed 4.9KW System -accepted advice re Size ,materials and setup. All proved to be excellent which which has delivered the results forecast by the Zen consultant. Quality – I have had two installations from Zen. Process was simple and within timeframe quoted. I have had my first system for 8-9 years and has never faltered, the second system replaced a cheap rubbish system. I replaced it with a ZEN system because of my dealings with them previously. Buy elsewhere. You have been warned – I would never recommend this company to anyone. Rebadged and are unable to warranty their solar installations or not willing to. Cash payment instead of replacing panels is not warranty in my eyes. Neither is installing silver panel in place of black line acceptable.

Not to be trusted – In 2012-13 we contracted ZEN and had their 3kW system installed (and solar hot water system too) and we were very happy with what we have got at that time. hidden brackets and black capped rail ends). The company and its representatives were well presented, and all the process miraculously smooth... In 2016 we wanted to upscale the system we had. We expected to get the components of the same quality/aesthetics, and the same service. We trusted the ZEN we knew and we did not ask the necessary questions... We ende up with 1.5kW "extension" - which was separated "industrial" style system. And we have got extraordinary extended installation delays. The job is still not completed 8 months late - we still do not have monitoring provided... The last time ZEN contacted us just before the Christmas 2016/17 time with apologies and promises. We naively paid them off and they ignored us since then... I think that ZEN doesn't exists anymore. All ZEN stores which existed in 2012 (in top locations across SA) desapeard and what is left is web/telephone based "business" which, in our experience, cannot be trusted... It seems that somebody purchased/uses ZEN brand name to sell what any electrician could sell to you. Which are ET Solar panels, Enphase Micro Inverters, and "standard" mounting system (if you ever get one installed)... Avoid ZEN. It might also be more likely that your "local electrician" will stay in business for long enough to provide warranty services when things start to deteriorate.

Dont follow through – Recently, requested a quotation. Its too hard, as they do not want to visit our premises, unless we part with a substancial deposit first. No way, they are phone based, and simply do not provide any home service, to establish our needs. Hence, we will go elsewhere, where customer service matters.
