Zeversolar Australia

After sales service – I have a 5Kw Zeversolar 5000 system installed. I have noticed regularly it goes into error 48 daily which i now know is a voltage input fault. This happens nearly everyday and the invertor is very hot and the heat sink is even hotter to touch. I believe it is a fire risk. I have been given the run around by Zeversolar and the installer, who want me to pay for someone to inspect the system. I went to fair Trading and they now inform me the installer was possibly non licensed or working outside their jurisdiction. To be confirmed. So does this void the warranty ? I am glad I did not originally pay for the system or the extended warranty that may be of no use. the blame is being put onto the grid however none of my neighbours are having any issues. As I cannot get any service satisfaction unless I put my hand in my pocket and the buck is being passed, looks as though I will have to wait until it dies or heaven forbid overheats before buying a new invertor AND definitely will be a Fronius.

A Waste of Money – I had a Zeversolar inverter installed in late 2018, as part of an insurance claim. After a huge bill, I noticed the inverter had turned itself off and cannot be re-started. This is a known issue after rain. I'd done some research on inverters prior to the install and was shocked to see the insurance company had opted for the cheapest and lowest-rated product on the market. So the insurance company's authorized electrician must now replace it, at their cost. If you paid for one yourself, good luck, you'll need it.

Is Zever Solar Technology a risk for starting a house fires? I think yes – Origin Energy installed a Zever Solar Inverter system with panels in my house at Mermaid Waters, Qld. for a cash cost to me of $5,927.00 (plus Government Rebate) recently. The Zever Solar system turned itself off for a full billing cycle; and I did not know. When I made a warranty claim after my bill arrived showing got no credits for power generation, Origin Energy (who are the suppliers and installers) told me that my financial losses are my fault not theirs; because I have to open the meter box regularly to make sure that the Zever Solar System main switch has not switched itself off after rain. Origin Tech Support then explained that when the solar panels get wet, the Zever Solar system switches off automatically to prevent the ZeverSolar Inverter from overheating! So now I am very concerned that my house is at risk of an electrical fire?
Clearly, Origin Solar Energy sales people lied, deceived and scammed me? I believe the ZeverSolar 5000 technology is outdated, inferior, dangerous and therefore excessively overpriced. BE WARNED:- my financial losses and recent admissions from Origin Tech support about how Zeversolar 5000 systems work shows that I was tricked by Origin into buying unreliable, old fashioned, dangerous and outdated ZeverSolar technology. It does not give any audible or visual warnings of failure; one must consistently open the meter box and check the solar On/Off Switch to be sure the system is operational and working.

Low quality and service so slow – Product failed after 3 yrs in (zeversolar5000s) Faulty MPPT port. I originally purchased the extended 10 yr warranty and sent in registration (2017), no answer. So contacted sales staff who sent in registration which i thought they had completed for me as they sent me an email showing they contacted the warranty section. And just found out 3 yrs in still have no extended warranty. The main issue now is there is no contact number and contacting via email is useless when it comes to the warranty registration they number they had that used to work just gives a message and hangs up now. I did eventually receive my replacement inverter after it went for a drive to victoria, instead of nsw TNTS fault there. To be installed today hope it works. Still I have sent another 4 emails in the last 10 days and still no reply to my belated extended warranty. It was a cheap Inverter but should still last the 5 years minimum, no way would it last 10 yrs so seems the extended warranties are a scam as there not accepting them. I purchased the unit for $950 and extended warranty for $121 a card with a code which you register which i did a many times. 1/11/20 Recent update just received email to confirm my extended warranty, 3 yrs late. So I gave a extra star for that.

Frustrating – Purchased a solar package from Hawking Electrical Gold Coast in 2016. The Zeversolar Inverter has failed this year in April 2020, still under warranty. The warranty claim was submitted 5 months ago and I am still waiting for a replacement inverter. No solar power and electricity bills through the roof. Zeversolar Australia located at Melbourne Docklands claim they have not got a record of the Warranty application. Hawking say they have evidence that it was submitted. As the customer it is so frustrating dealing with both these companies, especially when after some research apparently Zeversolar was recently bought by SMA Germany in December 2019. They are supposed to be looking after the old Zeversolar customers warranty claims. No one is looking after the customers but these companies are happy to take your money.

I was notified in writing by Fair Trading the installer was not licensed to do the instal. There was nothing they could do except contact the installing company to discuss penalties. As I purchased the property with it already installed I was not happy. Once I notified Zeversolar that the instal was done by an unlicensed person and why did they not check on the credentials of the installer, they notified me in writing that they were cancelling the warranty and wiped me.
