I purchased a Zoomlite Neos Medium Check In Suitcase for $238 and it has been a very disappointing purchase. The suitcase was only checked on a return flight to London and otherwise travelled around the UK by car. Despite minimal use, the zipper began jamming very quickly. The case itself shows no external damage. When I contacted Zoomlite,… Read more

their solution was to rub candle wax or soap on the zipper for lubrication, or take it to a shoe or luggage repairer myself. I was also told zipper issues are not covered under warranty.

I followed their advice and used candle wax, which worked temporarily. However, the zipper jammed again while I was overseas in Kuala Lumpur, leaving me with no option but to spend valuable holiday time buying a replacement suitcase from the markets.

What makes this even more frustrating is that my husband’s much cheaper suitcase has been used on more trips and has had no issues at all.

For a suitcase at this price point, I expected significantly better quality and after-sales service. Instead, I was left with a faulty product and no meaningful support.

Very disappointing experience.

I have had nearly the exact same experience as Louise. I am also in Qld and took my suitcase out of the wardrobe to pack in December 25 (after purchasing in February 25). I could hear something rattling around. When I opened the liner I found the brackets had become unstuck. After a back and forth with Zoomlite over email I returned my medium… Read more

glide suitcase. Upon receiving it back ‘repaired’ I had a look to see if everything was in place and noticed that there was gaff tape over the brackets. Very disappointing that the company has no confidence in their product and felt the need to do this. Not game enough to take it off in case the brackets come off with it. The correspondence with Zoomlite has teetered on the unfriendly side. I understand that the person responding is not responsible for the product but when I worked in retail the customer was always right. Suitcases are not an easy item to return and I think Zoomlite needs to have a more consumer friendly returns procedure. I wish that I had seen Louise’s review before purchasing. I like the design of the suitcase but the product quality is lacking.

purchased an overpriced Gan Travel Charger $75...Same thing half the price and better quality on Amazon...first trip 2 weeks it was fine, second trip i used it one of the ports seemed to dislodge from its support and while i could plug in it would not charge anythig. Never had any port fail on any other charging device ever...they refused to… Read more

replace or refund without even inspecting it, due to time i had the item but had only used it twice... If you purchase the item months before your trip it will be out of warranty before you use it, especially if you are in Europe 3 months at a time like me. Offered me a reduction on buying another one...Avoid buying as the quality is bad. Been using my much better and almost identical one from Amazon in Asia and then Europe for a total of 8 weeks with daily use, multiple devices and not a single issue...Do yourself a favour and avoid this brand as they do not stand behind the quality of their products...

I ordered items at zoomlite and realised my husband had ordered through another site. The quickly retrieved my order after processing it and fully refunded. I would use them again. Service is outstanding.

So disappointed both in the product and the customer service. I took my Large Glide suitcase for its first trip and after just one flight I opened the case to hear a clunking sound. I couldn't work out where it was coming from until I emptied the case and realised it was inside the lining. Unzipped the lining and found one of the braces for the… Read more

suitcase had completely come loose and was just floating around in the lining, plus one of the cup supports for the top corner was unstuck. These pieces had glue on them so obviously the glue did not hold. I contacted Zoomlite and after a bit of back and forth I was told I would need to buy a box for $15 from them to return it and for them to inspect it. Meanwhile I was at the beginning of a 4 week trip and remained anxious every time that suitcase was loaded on and off planes, worried that it would crumble. Thankfully it held up. When I got home, I bought the box, returned it, they inspected and returned it to me. When it arrived I found the lining was all caught up in places and not sitting flat. When I unzipped to look inside I found all the velcro was unstuck from the inside of the suitcase. Plus the bracket and corner cup were now stuck in place with what looked like black gaffa tape. I contacted customer service again to complain and they told me the pieces had been re-glued and they added the gaffa tape as an extra, which makes me think they don't have a lot of faith in their glue. Oh and the velcro pieces which were all unstuck? They must have come unstuck during the return process, so could I restick them in place please? Sure, anything to avoid sending the case back again. In the middle of all this, they sent me an email to say they were closing my ticket before I had even received my bag back! And then of course there was the obligatory email asking how well their customer service had performed. I bought this case on a recommendation of an acquaintance. I'm incredibly disappointed and would never buy their products again.

Absolutely love these bags! As frequent travellers, we’re always on the lookout for great luggage, and these did not disappoint. The weekender fits a surprising amount, and the glide bag is hands down one of the best suitcases we’ve ever used!

Zoomlite suitcsae – My zoomlite suitcase lasted one trip. The handle jammed and the zip broke. The customer service was very poor. I was offered a replacement part which I have to figure out how to replace. I expected this case to last more than one trip and I have had better mileage from a cheap Kmart case. I would not recommend this product.

Travelling made easy – Excellent service and products. Purchased packing cubes and a backpack. Could not fault either products. Backpack had loads of space and comfortable to wear. The packing cubes are the best I have ever used. Staff were very helpful with all queries. 100% recommend

Poor Customer service on a bad quality product – So disappointed in the quality of the Neos suitcase that has only lasted one domestic plane trip before the expander zip broke and so the suitcase is worthless to me. I called customer service and they advised it was checked before it was sent so all they could suggest was to go to a repair place and IF they can fix it then Zoom would send me the… Read more

VERY POOR SERVICE. LACK OF FOLLOW UP. POOR QUALITY – VERY POOR SERVICE. LACK OF FOLLOW UP. POOR QUALITY. The bag I received had a mark on it. I emailed the company and they stated they would usually send a replacement out but since I was heading overseas, they offered me a 30% refund. I have emailed them three times and rung twice and have not received any response. They also let me know that 3 of their products had faulty straps and replacement straps were being sent.

Faulty bag while travelling no acknowledgement from comoany – Aspen bag handle broke constantly managed to put back together until it broke on the train and the spring couldnt be recovered. Emailed the company overseas didn't hear a thing. Called over 10 days later.. Man claimed he was no where near his emails (lol) and he would call back only asked the date of email sent not my name or number. Will send item back and dispute charge.

Dis-functional design / poor return/exchange service – It was not clear from photos or description of product on website that the Finn card wallet is not stitched on one-side and opens up, meaning that cards/cash could just drop out easily. I asked to exchange for the alternative design, and accepted having to pay return postage costs, but was then told I would have to pay for the replacement item to… Read more

be shipped! And no sort of apology or acknowledgement of the design flaw. Quality was otherwise good, but no use to me.

A bad experience! – This was marketed as an in-cabin bag/backpack, supposedly perfect for a trip I’m taking in the very near future. However after 3 months of light use the stitching on the inside pockets came undone. I sent the bag back to Zoomlite in Melbourne for repair ($35 postage). After 3 weeks it was returned but two days later the stitching on the top handle… Read more

gave way. At the time I was only carrying 3-4kgs. Again the bag went back to Zoomlite, this time they paid for postage. At this point I requested a refund as I did not think the bag was fit for purpose. However Zoomlite repaired the bag again and sent it back to me. Another few days on and the repair started to show signs of failing. I contacted Fair Trading (FT) (something I’ve never done before) with supporting photos, emails etc to act on my behalf and they contacted Zoomlite. FT received a reply from Zoomlite stating that as part of the repair the handle had been reinforced and it “was now fit for purpose”. So what was it before?? Zoomlite also stated that any repair “may not be the same in appearance as the original"….This one certainly doesn't!

It's not unreasonable for an in-cabin bag to be able to carry more than a few kgs. Added to that, these backpacks are not inexpensive. I’ve had years of trouble free use from other brands ie Black Wolf, North Face etc. I am now heading off on holidays with a bag that I personally don’t think will last the distance. I plan to take the matter to the Tribunal, as advised by FT, on my return. I am very disappointed that a) I’ve experienced such quality issues with this product and b) I have to go to a tribunal to get any sort of satisfaction. Personally I’d never recommend this brand to anyone!
